Any father's doing cycles?

30 M Currently doing a low dose Test E cycle with all precautions and Dr and Coach monitoring my self. Wanted to ask how many fathers are out there doing enhanced bodybuilding? I really want to compete and see how far I can go in bodybuilding but I feel guilty when trying to pursue my dream. My wife is not too supportive of it as well. Cheers

Heaps of us are fathers and husbands.
The trick is to make sure you have time for the family. My friend who is a professional bb and coaches full time balances his lifestyle by training early morning and working through the day.
Myself its a bit harder working a 9-5 meaning I miss out on things like watching movie and going out with friends. Now it's just family and gym and work.

I think outside of that one thing to consider from a competitive stand point is: if you’re doing a hard prep (especially if you’ve never done one before, not saying you haven’t) will be difficult without the support of your wife and family my dude.

people often forget what a dedicated offseason and prep looks like, and can be quite taxing mentally if your having resistance or push back from you partner is all

Keep us all in the loop though bro, Aussie community here for you 👌

Yeah bro father to 3 little ones all under the age of 6. We manage to make it work between my wife wanting time to train, myself wanting time, the rigours of full time work and balancing home life.
Sorry to hear your wife isn't on board but I don't think you should feel guilty for pursuing a dream of yours. Keep training, keep being consistent but also maybe try to find a compromise with her.

I’m at the gym most mornings by 4:30am and home by 5:40ish get ready for work make the wife a coffee and head out the door not back home usually until 5 or 6pm most days

The early starts mean I have time for her when I get home

As for doing that with kids.. anything is possible with a supportive partner but you’ll need to get her onside ASAP

It can be difficult bro i hear you, i train early mornings 3.30am as im not normally home from work before 7pm. Training in the mornings means i can just be home with the family after work. What part isnt your wife supportive of? Your training or Ped use?

They're big days but its something i love and enjoy for myself so i make it work. There is a lot of pressure on blokes these days to meet so much criteria; the present father and husband, provider of a good lifestyle for their families - usually demanding big days at work to facilitate the lifestyle and the need to still be mentally present when we are at home. So many blokes get caught up in all of this so i feel it is important to do a little something for themselves. Gym helps me mentally reset each day and allows me to tackle life a little better so ill always continue to do it now im on this path.

Im a father of two boys. Being 1 and 2 years old.. it's hard work but you make it happen. Which means 3.30am wake ups and training before work so you can spend time with the family after work.
Thats it bro if you want it you will find a way 🔥

✅ Awesome work boys, killer to see both of you making it happen and optimising the routine.

➕ like anything, if you want to make it happen you’ll find a way to balance everything including some early mornings or late night depending on personal situations

If your wife is not supportive of you competing, I wouldn't.

Competing is hard, both physically and mentally, even for those around you.

As I father, I had less time/energy for my kids while prepping and it takes a toll on your relationship with your partner, even worse if their not in your corner.

Not worth losing a marriage over a plastic trophy, but that's just the honest truth.

Have a long in depth conversation with her about it man, hopefully she can support you for 3-5 months so you can live your dream.

welcome back to the EVO family :D @Meiwtutsi1 I saw you posting before -

A lot of dads run gear and still balance family life fine, the key is staying healthy and keeping your priorities straight. If you feel better, look better, and perform better, that’s only going to help your family long term. Energy, mood, and confidence all roll into being a better father and husband. If your wife isn’t supportive, you don’t need to rub it in her face! keep it low key and let results speak. As long as labs are good and you’re monitored, there’s no reason to carry guilt. Chasing your dream while keeping health first can actually strengthen what you bring to your family. :D
I think @kcates is a good example of someone who changed his family with his lifestyle! You can see his latest log here-

@Meiwtutsi1 if you want this journey to be fully healthy and proper, you should start a log journal with the EVO family, have you see all the logs we have?

My man, just your concern for you needs and your families needs says a lot about you bro. I assume you wonder how we all do it. I am not a bodybuilder but I take my gym life serious. 50 year old dad with 1 kid now and a 19 year old that just went off to Marine boot camp today. Years ago when I first started this journey my wife probably didn't even think I was going to stick with it. I did and just like most of the husbands and fathers here I get up at 4am get to the gym before 5. I spend a couple hours or more there. Then go to work. Then spend my evenings and weekends with my family. Even on weekends I get up and go to the gym before they get up. For them they don't really notice anything different because I knock things out while there still sleeping ,other then I talk about it. Now diet that is different. I eat a lot of meat. They like to eat other things that aren't so healthy. In the beginning it caused some conflict but overtime they have seen the dedication and the results. Now my wife most of the time makes sure I have my meat if they are going to have something different. I will have to say we have to find new ways to eat chicken thighs because there getting tired of those. I also have cans of chicken breast and cans of tuna Incase they order pizza or something and there are no meat left overs. You just can't force your lifestyle on them. Food prep is key. The only meal I eat my wife is involved is dinner. I handle my other meal and snacks. Since I am not a bodybuilder I am just trying to be my best. If we go out to dinner for a celebration or something I am going to enjoy myself and have some cake. I believe the social Interaction with family and friends over some burgers and cake is worth it once in awhile.
The big take aways and feel like alot of us repeated are early morning workouts, meal prep, and I throw this one in don't try to force your working out or diet on your family. Just let them watch and see. Actions speak louder then words. As far as peds you should be honest with your wife your on them. My wife knows I use them but I don't give her my detailed cycles that I am on. I keep everything locked up in our safe in our closet to keep it out of the hands of the kids except out GLP-1s we keep in the fridge. She sees all the bottles of stuff in there. I also have a log book/ journal of my cycles in the kitchen of all my injection amounts so if she really wants to know she can read that. She knows about my forum. I tell her about stuff off of here like things body monster says or what Lev tells me to do. If she was really interested in things she would have read my logs but she is not that interested. As long as I give my family there time because time is love for them. Alot of us husbands and fathers on here making it work. You will too. We are here to support you. Start a log and then we can encourage you on your journey, give advice on anything going on in your life and help tweak anything in your training, diet, and PEDs. Look forward to your log, you got this. I heard a pastor talking today and he was saying all men should have that one thing for themselves as a father and a husband. May it be fishing, hunting, or golf. You can't have two with a family because your family time will suffer. For us it's bodybuilding. Do your one thing for yourself you need it. As you continue to take it serious your family will see this and know how much it means to you that your getting up at 4 am to make it happen and not take away time away from them they will become more supportive. Evo family here to support you.

Well said brother this was a refreshing read 🤍

Grandads got it to easy! Do all the fun stuff with the kids then hand them back to the parents! I can't wait to be a grandad! I also want to be the biggest jacked grandad at the school.
Yep sounds good. I’m aiming for jacked dad. Have two daughters 13+15 need to make the boys scared of my shadow when the time comes
