If you don’t know what De quervain tenpsynovtis is. It is a painful condition causing inflammation of the protective sheath around two tendons on the thumb side of the wrist, leading to swelling, redness, and difficulty moving the thumb, often from repetitive wrist/thumb motions like pinching, gripping, or using phones. It makes it very difficult to train and do anything with your hands or wrist 🥲

In the next couple weeks coming I will be.

Medications: Anti-inflammatory drugs if I feel the tendon is getting agitated again.

Rest & Ice: Limiting activity and applying ice.

Splinting: Wearing a brace for 3 weeks to immobilise the thumb and wrist.

Physical Therapy: Stretches and exercises that the physiotherapist has me doing.

Peptide Treatments: BPC157 and TB500 into the tendon sheath.

Starting dosage:
BPC157: 250mcg daily
TB500: 4mg per week

Cheers brothers and sisters 👊🏽

Good luck with it bro, I had it in one wrist from October last year until June this year.
Some mornings I would wake up and roll around on the ground crying in pain.
Couldn’t hold a mug, wipe my ass, couldn’t pick my daughter up it was excruciating.
I splinted for months, tried not training, light training etc remedial massage.
One month towards the end it just gradually got better. Gets tight every once in a while now but that’s about it.

According to the further info from the google quote you used most recover in a few weeks by just resting the hand with a brace on
I gonna have my thumb and wrist in a brace most of the time for the next couple weeks brother.
Which will be a pain to do anything

welcome back to the EVO family :D @Ohyeahbra thanks for sharing.

I think you can recover from this easy if we play our cards right, how about your diet, have you tried going carnivore to reduce inflammation?

supplements
Are you taking high doses Vitamin C?
what digestive supps you use?
digestive enzymes?
multis?
probiotics?
psyllium husk?

are you listening to our podcast? if not, you should:

I haven’t thought about going a full carnivore diet yet brother
I love my carbs to much 😂

If my wrists don't start healing in the next couple weeks, it will be something that I might have to implement

Hopefully I get this annoying injury recovered before I have to change my diet too be a carnivore, because it will be pretty hard working away with limited food being carnivore

Thank you for the support brother 👊🏽

I 100% agree brother
It’s not going to keep me down and out of the gym 💪

that is the nice thing about weight training. you can always do it no matter what
Definitely bro!
I will be concentrating on building on my lower body while I take it easy on my wrist
Maybe I hit legs 3x a week ?

3x a week on legs is too much. i do them 1x a week myself hard

3x a week on legs is too much. i do them 1x a week myself hard
I was also training legs 1x a week
But since this wrist injury, I will try and train them 2x a week
Just to ease off the wrist

Bros nothing worse than wrist injuries. That's the worst thing ever. Make it impossible to do a lot of lifting but that good that you sticking through it and you taking the treatment. @Ohyeahbra

I gonna have my thumb and wrist in a brace most of the time for the next couple weeks brother.
Which will be a pain to do anything
hopefully you get some improvements @Ohyeahbra you just don't want this sort of injury to become chronic. that is the biggest danger

If you're working legs properly you shouldn't be able to do 3x week, even 2x week. Blast them as hard as you can and give them at least 5 days until you hit them again.

Yeah I will definitely look into incorporating bone broth and glucosamine msm chondroitin, never had this in my diet before so I’m curious

Is there a specific reason why I need to drop the anavar dosage brother ?

add those up and get the joint support in :D @Ohyeahbra

I think anavar wont help you heal at that dose might dry you out a bit more than you think. Healing dose 5mgs is enough.

Yeah I will give 5mgs a try for the next couple weeks. I do love my Var tho 😂

What I eat day to day changes as I work away for weeks at a time, so the food changes and is limited on worksite.

Good luck with recovery brother 🙏

Sorry to hear about your missus injury bro, it’s definitely not a fun time.
I do a lot of repetitive movement with my hands for work bro so that what I think could have caused it

Good! But dose?

Are you doing 100mg once a week? If so you'll need to split this up to 50mg twice a week.

100% It wasn't THE fix for my 2016 back issue but deffo helped
What type of back problem did you have ?

I had a herniated disk in my L4,
That’s how I found out about TENs machine, because my physio would use one on me with a heat pack

WRIST PAIN RATE: 7/10

I’m still waking up with pain in the wrist but it has reduced, which is a good sign.

I saw my physiotherapist today and he has confirmed that I have a “classic case of de quervain's tenosynovitis“.
He has instructed me to rub Hirudoid cream with my Voltaren pain relief gel each day.

My GP wants me to do an ultrasound on both wrist next week. So I’m keen to see what the outcome of that will be.

PHYSICAL THERAPY:

• Using a lucky band to do fingers and thumb strengtheners.
• Stretching forearms and thumbs.
• Using a tens machine for 15 minutes on forearms.

•Anavar: Dropped 5mg a day for a couple weeks

PEPTIDES:

Thank you bro 🤝 Protein is the one I struggle the most with to get in everyday. I am willing to bump it up too 285g first bro?
Definitely and I see you have. You can now easily make it to 300g.
I just up the dosage up to 500mcg. It’s working really well
Yes it's a great peptide and 500mcg is a great starting dose

Nice!
What’s are your opinion on EOD pin compared to twice a week ?
microdosing ED or EOD is king when it comes to stable levels
I am starting to bump up my protein to 300g in the next couple days.
Atta boy!

I will have a look into it bro
I'm a huge fan of collagen peptide powder, I take 20g with my dose of 20g creatine ED.
I tried not to push it to 100% because I don’t want to inflame the tendon again.
Are you pinning as close to the tendon as possible?

Yeah i’ve been pinning as close as possible to tendon, I’ve been changing to different spots on the wrist each day,
It’s a fu*king spicy spot to pin 😂

I once helped a member on here @Pat7x learn to pin in his wrist. I had never done it before myself. He said something to the effect that he didn't know where or how to pin and I said something like "you just do it" LOL. So I went and slammed in some GH as an example and posted a posted a pic for him. Here's that pic both before and after:

OVERALL SUMMARY:

“ I felt really confident with my wrist today while training.
I tried not to push it to 100% because I don’t want to inflame the tendon again.
But very happy with today session”

I once helped a member on here @Pat7x learn to pin in his wrist. I had never done it before myself. He said something to the effect that he didn't know where or how to pin and I said something like "you just do it" LOL. So I went and slammed in some GH as an example and posted a posted a pic for him. Here's that pic both before and after:

Here's his thread on pinning the wrist for healing peptides: https://www.evolutionary.org/forums/threads/bulking-cycle-journal.106490/page-2#post-1865645
