how bad is the wrist any swelling? @Wheels85
Nah, no swelling. It's not that bad. By the end of the day ill get a sharp pain in the centre when pushing my chair. It's getting agitated when pushing my chair and transferring from it. Trying to avoid pushing my chair as much as I can.

if you can get a massage gun on it, do you have an infrared lamp?

Tried doing incline bench at only 50kg, and it felt like 70. Felt my wrist straight away. Started with pec dec, and it felt fine. Hammer curls felt okay. Pretty shitty. Guess all I can do now is try again in a few days at a lower weight and see how I feel. Left side was weaker as well, which I read is normal. Body shutting down strength output to avoid injury. 30 minutes fasted cardio this morning

Wrist doesn't feel bad at all today. Normally, it feels worse the next day. See how I go tomorrow, but hopefully another week and I'll be gtg

Give it time it will recover :D
on the meals, can you move the sweet potato to lunch? cutting carbs on dinner completely and shifting them earlier in the day, if you can add more protein at night @Wheels85

I had them for lunch. It was just the way I filled it out. At this low level of calories, I don't think it's going to matter in the long run, though.

Hey mate, regarding the wrist, have you tried manual therapy from a physio or similar? Often the forearm muscles can get aggravated from overuse and cause pain.

it is low level I'd like to have it up a bit for sure but good you had the carbs lunch time :D

100%. That's how my tennis elbow started and why I dropped hammer curls. I started doing them again and now this. I have been massaging the right forearm.

No can do, man. As I explained, and the other Aussie guy in a chair, we need far fewer calories per day. I need even less than the other 2 because I'm a higher injury, shorter and weigh less and need to be in a deficit.

A friend commented that I'm losing weight today, so definitely on the right track. Think by the end of January I should reach my goal weight or be close at least.

So, went to the Dr today about the wrist and he said he thinks it's centre wrist tendiopathy. Looking at 6-10 weeks, possibly longer because I agitate it while pushing and transferring. So, that's just fucking fantastic. Put in so much hard work.

I'll speak to Gainsman, and see what the plan looks like going forward. Was thinking maybe I drop the Var completely and got back to TRT level test and get all my markers perfect. That way once I fully healed up I'll have lost the weight and we can start a big boy cycle. Give me something to shoot for while I recover. Can't even use my handcycle because it will aggravate it.

I can use my pec dec and seated row with wrist straps. Once I get my functional trainer I'll be able to do more with wrist straps. Sucks, bro!

Bugger , Consider taping it bro, 1 anchor below the wrist, single loop through the thumb and then loop around the wrist and finish with an anchor. Quick easy cheap and supports the wrist, if it doesn't work for you its cost stuff all.

@Wheels85 do you think you could get maybe a second opinion on that? Just to make sure you get the proper diagnosis. But don't be down on that. As long as you get a good diagnosis it's okay man. There are other things you can do in the meantime to keep yourself in shape.

Aw shit sorry to hear this bro. That really sucks.

I'm sure you and coach will figure out a new plan. I've had a ton of wrist problems and when issues flare up I just do like you're doing and find ways to train around them.

For the functional trainer get yourself some wrist cuffs. That will help you train without using your wrist and aggrivating it. Will open up a bunch of excercises for you bro

I've seen a lot of chair users use a wrist brace

Going to pause the blog until my wrist is all good. Check back in whenever there's anything worth updating.
Even with a bad wrist, that does not mean you still have to stop doing anything. Make sure you still keep your diet on point. Maybe this will give you an opportunity to really tighten up your diet and try some different things. @Wheels85

So sorry to hear about your wrist. @Wheels85 however we all have to deal with injuries at some point in our lives. Our bodies are extremely fragile. But you'll come back from this and you'll be better than ever.

The only thing I can do right now is pec dec. Everything else I use my right hand to stabilise (gripping with my injured wrist) myself while using dumbbells in my left hand. Yeah, as I mentioned diet will stay the same. If I'm still injured by the time I buy my new place and set up my new gym, then I'll use the functional trainer with a wrist strap and hook. I don't have the space here to buy it early and set it up. Is what it is, I guess. Sucks large amounts of nuts, but crying won't fix it. I may try some peptides to see if they help speed up healing. I'll be back. My house unit settlement is on the 18th of January. Hopefully, I find a house I like relatively quickly and that'll take 30 days to settle. So, max 6 weeks ill be back lifting in some form. Keep my TRT going and protein at 2g per KG, I shouldn't lose too much.

@Wheels85 When I was fixing pipes doing plumbing work, I thought my life was over. Had to not train for two years during my recovery, but I ended up coming back and look at me now.

Sorry for this bad news, man, but six to ten weeks is nothing. You'll be back before you know it. Just make sure you follow what your doctor says so you can recover as fast as possible. I would get some healing peptides to speed things up. @Wheels85

That's okay man, it's not the end of the world. You'll be back at it soon. Take the next six weeks to tighten up your diet and look at it as a positive. Your body overall could use a little break anyway from weights.

@Wheels85 I hate to hear about the injury man it does suck. Make sure you get it healed up fully.

Tested out my wrist to see where I'm at since last week and my bench is 80% of what it was with no pain. Was able to curl and do tricep extension at about 80% my max for 3 sets. Did shoulder flys, shoulder press and pec dec, no problems at max weight. I'll give it another 5-7 days and see where I'm at but definitely don't see it taking 6 weeks to heal up. I got a strap for it and have been icing it 4-5 times a day. See how it goes next week. Diets stayed exactly the same.

Last few days' food log. Calories were a bit higher yesterday. The body was telling me it needed a bit more.

I started off benching 30kg which is about 40% my max and ramped up. Same for other exercises. Definitely in no rush to cause myself a setback and have to start again.

@Wheels85 nice man. You can do some mobility and stretching as well. That will really help. And if you go with the weights, do super light.

@Wheels85 that's great man. I'm glad you're keeping this log on even though you're overcoming an injury. Food is very important. Take the opportunity to tighten up your diet.

Out of reta, so eating 1200 calories is harder than on reta for sure. Placing a big order next Monday, for my next cycle, so I'll get some then.

Right now I'm back to pure TRT while I recover. Probably stick to that for 6-8 weeks, then when I'm fully set up in my new place, it'll be test, mast, GH, and some NPP. Nothing in large amounts. I turned 41 5 days ago, along with my SCI, it would be dumb to push anything at this stage of my life.

I didn't mention it on here, so you didn't miss it. Just another birthday after 40, haha.
well no matter what, happy birthday my EVO brother :D we love you, i hope 2026 is going to be your year of amazing results @Wheels85

Did a workout just on my left side with some dumbbells and a few sets on pec dec. Triggered my wrist transferring into the shower, so I didn't want to aggravate it again.

It's not a serious injury, just one of those annoying things that happens to everyone who lifts eventually. It'll heal when it heals. Just pissing me off in the meantime

what you do in that situation @Wheels85 is drink water and have some salt with it. that will kill the hunger. you aren't really 'hungry' .. you can go many weeks with no food
This ⬆️ and I find apple cider vinegar with the mother helps too.

Happy belated birthday brother! Sneaky wanker for not announcing it LOL.

Can we all rally to get some healing peptides on board for @Wheels85? I'd chip in. @R.AP @LevButlerov Just a thought? I'd gladly send him some KLOW if it's agreed upon.

As I explained, and the other Aussie guy in a chair, we need far fewer calories per day.
I've been reading about this as per our DM's and you really do need half the calories of someone your age and not in a chair. It makes sense too.

Can we all rally to get some healing peptides on board for @Wheels85? I'd chip in. @R.AP @LevButlerov Just a thought? I'd gladly send him some KLOW if it's agreed upon.

For my level of injury, which is a C level, I need approximately 70% of the calories I would normally consume without the SCI. Now factor in that I have to be in a deficit to lose weight, it is probably around 50-60%, as you said. The other 2 guys in here are taller and have lower-level injuries, meaning their forearms, chest, stomach, etc., aren't affected or not to the degree mine are. So, that muscle means they burn more calories at rest. Guidelines put Parra's at around 80% the needed daily calorie intake of a normal person.

Agreed, and from what I read you're more around 50% as you said so quite low to be in a deficit. It is what it is and we'll just have to work with it by prioritizing protein, using fasting as best you can with 24hr fasts if you can do it, and then allowing a refeed day here and there as well to keep you sane and keep your metabolism from crashing as well.

Here is a super deep dive I read and it discusses that even the lower calorie recommendations can sometimes be an overestimate of what you truly need per day with SCI, and especially at C level. It even goes into being careful with too high of fiber and has links to a couple dozen other studies included in it as well

You really do need to be in quite a calorie deficit to drop body fat and then even when trying to put on some lean mass be careful with your surplus as well.

I just caught this post. I really appreciate the sentiment, but I'm putting in a massive order through @UGL OZ next week when my house settles. I've still got to add in mast and var when it's available. Going to get all my gear for the year while I have the funds and everythings in stock.

Ok this is great news, are you planning on getting KLOW? I don't see that SHOGUN has KLOW or a BPC/TB mixture. I can send you a KLOW you can run it for 3 weeks at 500mcg/500mcg/2.5mg/500mcg (BPC/TB/GHK-Cu/KPV). Your call bro.

I have BPC-157 in my cart and they have in stock. Is that what you mean?

SHOGUN TB-500 2mg

I would recommend both BPC-157 as well as TB-500. You'll want to dose the whole vial of TB500 (2mg) every week, and the BPC-157 you should do ED at 500mcg.

Pin the BPC-157 as close to your wrist injury as possible.

I once helped a member on here @Pat7x back in October as well as @Ohyeahbra about a month ago in pinning in the wrist. I had never done it before myself. He said something to the effect that he didn't know where or how to pin and I said something like "you just do it" LOL. So I went and slammed in some GH as an example and posted a posted a pic for him. Here's that pic both before and after (see pics):

Not gonna lie, doing something like that scares the shit outta me too much. I think ill pass, haha

Last 2 days' meals. Did a basic upper body workout today, mostly focusing on the left side. Did some curls, tricep extensions and shoulder press on my right side with a 7kg dumbbell. Didn't notice any pain. The next few days will be the test. After last week's workout, 2-3 days later, I had a fair bit of pain, but I seem to be on the mend now. Typing and pushing my chair is a lot easier. I've lost some size and fullness not being able to workout properly, but I'm definitely losing weight. Veins are coming through in my biceps, and my midsection is much smaller.

Bruhhhh!!!! Look at that progress. It’s not just the bicep which is probably what you think we see. Your forearms are popping and your delts are getting capped with nice insertions showing. And that forearm vein is coming in!

But… mad progress on the bicep with vascularity too!

Now take that slin pin and shove it into your wrist! 🤣🤣🤣. You’ll be like “huh, I didn’t even feel that”.

@Wheels85 your arms are looking fantastic man. You see all that vascularity starting to work in as well. That shows how lean you're getting.

@Wheels85 arms are looking jacked man! Keep up the awesome work

Bad news. Transferring out of the shower back into my chair the other night, I re-did my wrist, and it's worse than before. I can't even lift the kettle to make a coffee. I will be sticking 100% solid to my diet, I'm not quiting etc etc, but I need to take a mental break for a few weeks. I lost 3-4 months at the start of last year to tennis elbow, and now this. Feel like I'm just going to spend the next 3 months recovering then the following 3 chasing back what I lost again. It's not just gym-related, but as you can imagine, I now effectively only have 1 arm to carry out my day-to-day life, so not in the best headspace right now. The gym was my only real outlet to get rid of my stress. Anyway, ill be back when there's some positive news to report. I'm going to get some scans done and see where it's at and go from there. Cheers for following my journey so far. Catch you all when I get back.

Sorry to hear about re-injuring your wrist. That sucks mate.

I think it definitely worth looking into some kind of manual therapy; chiro, physio, acupuncture, message etc.

This is my left hand. I don't have the best function in it. I would 100% do it, but don't want to fuck around where a lot of tendons are

Just catching up on your log again now @Wheels85 . Fucken Bummer about the injury, keep ur head up brother.

I've had my share of tendonitis and epicondylitis. For what it's worth, I highly recommend BPC157 am and pm dosing 500mcg. TB500 once a week if u have it. Sub q is fine if u dont wanna risk damage with a localised pin.
You're probably all over the regular gentle physio exercises. I've heard sulfur (MSM or likewise) works well on the joints and tendons too.

Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery my dude.

Yeah, I've been doing all the exercises I can find on YouTube. If it works Sub q, I'm totally down to do that! Cheers, man
