6 hrs. Typical, the one day I wanted to sleep in I couldn't. Anyway mostly rested 🙄

Landmine Press 15x0,5, 4x15x10
**Found all the pains in my shoulder joints with these. Really worked in hard.

Laterals 5x15x7.5kg
**Burned like blazes. Had to pause often in last 2 sets to make 15 reps

Rear delts 5x15x7.5
**again burned, but got these done with no breaks in the set.

Daily thoughts
Quick update today. Had to train at 0330 this morning as we travelled at lunch interstate. Training was excellent and I felt all the issues in my shoulders with the high reps. Hopefully the concentrated training will solve things and if I have to I will BPC it mid year.
So in Sydney tonight for a concert then working remotely for the day tomorrow. Home tomorrow arvo and training.
Only challenge I have is food in the morning to get home. Anyway, first world problem really 😁

How do you go with cable rope face pulls?
Find them pretty solid with sorting out shoulder pains and issues.

**This felt much better than last time. Chest and Tri's got a good hit.

Flat Flys 3x12x22.5kg
**Slow 3sec descent on each rep for sets 1 and 3 with 1sec descent set 2. Cooks the pecs just right.

Daily thoughts
Today was a really good day. Starting to not hate what I see in the mirror, though a ton of work still to go obviously. Even took a pic 🙂.
Waist is now reducing nicely as my weights belt is loose again.
And now strength is starting to move on up. About fucking time 🙄.
I will take these wins today, the marathon is a slightly shorter journey 😁

Not quite as difficult as what you are enduring brother. But it's part of living. Can't cocoon ourselves into our home all the time because it's easier to train and Meal prep. C'est la vie 😉🩵

So I actually increased my Sustanon by 25mg and my Deca by 20mg over the weekend. Why? Well because everything is going well and because I could 😁.
Training is really going well and strength is climbing. Also starting to see better shape and a small amount of definition. Things are progressing in the right direction.

I read alot of other logs on Evo and when you do that you notice certain things. I do it because I really enjoy seeing what other Evo Brothers and Sisters are doing and I am genuinely interested in how things are going on their respective journeys.
There are varying levels of info in the logs with some having lots, others being more concise in what they provide.
The one thing that does stand out is the very best ones are done because the writer is interested and invested in the journey that they are taking. It is about the personal attainment of a set goal and they would still write it if no-one was reading it or they had nothing to gain from writing it.

It is certainly why I do it every day. 90% is to get the shit in my head out and onto a page, (so to speak) just like now. It is about looking at what I have done, where I want to go, and really about how I am going in my journey to get there. 10% is for everyone else.

I love this bro! You know I've read and listened to many podcasts and motivational speeches and one thing that's constantly mentioned is the importance of keeping a journal of our own thoughts. And since starting my logging journey, it's made me realise its importance, being able to self reflect at that moment in time, and even to read back on the thought process of a few day, weeks or months ago.

All the boys at my gym spammed the fuck out of their arms when they started... me I honestly don't find much enjoyment in curls and tricep extension 😅😂 as exersises go there boring, but back fuck me I would do 3hr back day and love every second of it

**This was a struggle but not where it should be. Knees didn't like the additional strain and neither did hammys. Just got to ease into these and let these areas getused to the new movement.

Daily thoughts
So I actually increased my Sustanon by 25mg and my Deca by 20mg over the weekend. Why? Well because everything is going well and because I could 😁.
Training is really going well and strength is climbing. Also starting to see better shape and a small amount of definition. Things are progressing in the right direction.

I read alot of other logs on Evo and when you do that you notice certain things. I do it because I really enjoy seeing what other Evo Brothers and Sisters are doing and I am genuinely interested in how things are going on their respective journeys.
There are varying levels of info in the logs with some having lots, others being more concise in what they provide.
The one thing that does stand out is the very best ones are done because the writer is interested and invested in the journey that they are taking. It is about the personal attainment of a set goal and they would still write it if no-one was reading it or they had nothing to gain from writing it.

It is certainly why I do it every day. 90% is to get the shit in my head out and onto a page, (so to speak) just like now. It is about looking at what I have done, where I want to go, and really about how I am going in my journey to get there. 10% is for everyone else.
If people gain something from my ramblings then great, but it's not why I started doing this, or keep doing it for that matter. 🙃

Anyway, rest day from training tomorrow, after some much needed sleep catchup 😴

I always found it difficult until I starting pushing for 400g. To make that you need good protien shakes and if possible protien milk as well. This now allows me to cruise over 300 pretty easily.🙂

Thanks my brother. I had to hit the wildlife hard today as I just had no real spark of inspiration today, that how it is sometimes I suppose.
Staying up and after a few more weeks if everything is OK I will do the final jump to 225mg Sus and 140mg Deca. That is the plan anyway.

I really believe there are many great logs that I draw heaps from. Sure many go through the motions but I expect that. It's the ones that get me thinking that I love. Doesn't necessarily have to be about lifting, diet, PEDs either, in fact most that dig deep are not.

The trouble with eating out when you are used to hitting certain macros, is that mentally the whole experience can fuck with you.
Dont get me wrong my Salmon salad today was healthy, reasonably nice and low in fat. However it was also low in Salmon so my protein took a hit. Messed with my head all afternoon about what I would need to consume to get over 300g for the day🫣. I solved it obviously.
Its so embedded in my psyche to eat not only a certain way generally but also to hit a certain number of protien grams now.
I wonder if we can class this as a new mental illness 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Well not like most of us on Evo haven't got a few strays loose in the top paddock anyway 🙄 🤣🤣

Solid update! I think that bird is a heron :)

Re: the good mornings, you could try playing around with your set-up: bar a little lower on the back or elevating the toes with a wedge - more pressure through the entire foot vs only the heels can help with more hip hinge without straining the lower back further. I personally like to do them on a v-squat 😊

I do both Brother, plus RDLs. I need to concentrate on my posterior chain more, especially this training block. Shoulders as well. Trying to bolster the main areas that are weakest essentially bro 🩵

The trouble with eating out when you are used to hitting certain macros, is that mentally the whole experience can fuck with you.
Dont get me wrong my Salmon salad today was healthy, reasonably nice and low in fat. However it was also low in Salmon so my protein took a hit. Messed with my head all afternoon about what I would need to consume to get over 300g for the day🫣. I solved it obviously.
Its so embedded in my psyche to eat not only a certain way generally but also to hit a certain number of protien grams now.
I wonder if we can class this as a new mental illness 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Well not like most of us on Evo haven't got a few strays loose in the top paddock anyway 🙄 🤣🤣

I used to stress my macros each day a lot too but 1 thing that helped me was taking a wider view and think about it more big picture. Am I hitting my macros more often then not? Do I go over the from time to time? Then being under now and again isn't a big deal.

We already stress about enough. Macros should rank pretty low if overall you're doing a great job. Enjoy that salmon on salad. Next time get some French fries too!

Thanks bro, some very sensible and salient points there. I know I should but my No.1 problem in life, work, macros, lifting and anything else is I am totally goal focused. It is why body building is difficult for me but powerlifting is not. The goals are absolute not "defined" or a "feeling" about what I am doing. 🩵

Yesterday I struggled with getting to my goal for Protein for the day and it messed with me. I was wondering why and a brief interaction with @BeMe today actually gave me the answer. And it was obvious.

My whole life I have been totally goal focused and always looking to hit certain targets I set. Whether that was with work, school, sports or just about anything you can think of. I always have difficulty with things that are conceptual or artistic in nature, because the goal is not clear to me. Its why I do projects not policy work career wise.

This is also why I struggle with body building as the goals are difficult to set for me. I can't grasp the concept of a certain size, width, muscle shape or balance of body parts to make a whole package. I love the idea of it but can't grasp the art of it. I do love seeing others do it though.

With powerlifting it's pretty simple to set goals, I don't really need to explain that. Getting there is the challenge, but the goals are crystal clear and once you get them, you reset and go again.
I really am too old to change that now and I honestly accept that. It's so ingrained in me that I can try (and I will try) certain divergences from the path I usually take and do something different, but I accept that I will always drift back to trying to achieve a set goal.

Its true, BB gains can be hard to quantify and it makes it less obvious when goals are being met. One thing that helps there is progress pics every couple weeks. Then when you see the timeline of your progress it's pretty motivating.

Photos photos photos. Keen taking them weekly in the same location under same lighting as condition. Could always post some side by sides and plenty of smart, trained eyes around to help us assess (I even struggle.)
