I like how things look, but in my mind they can look better. You have to keep pushing. I have been bodybuilding since 2011, natural from 2011-2018, enhanced since 2019. In that time I can remember having death face one time. Cheeks that are sunk in. Conditioning. Of course, I had less size back then.

As l look at my physique, the details are coming in. The extremities look good, but the belly/lower back/glutes are still carrying fat. Blessed bodybuilding genetics would be even fat distribution. That I do not have.

I have complete blood work. I will post as soon as I have it edited for posting. I found a source for mirabegron. So we shall see if it helps me get better sleep.

Bloodwork from 06/20. Not great but expected since I am in the stressing portion of my cycle.
I am wondering if some numbers are skewed being dehydrated. I did drink fluids, but with a 36 hour fast leading into this blood work, it might affect it. I'm going to schedule the next bloodwork 08/22 before the next show. I will do the normal 12 hour blood fast for that one.

I like doing blood work, typically 2 months into a cycle, a week before each show, then 8 weeks after coming off a cycle.

Cholesterol numbers are whacked, expected with the compounds. Not the worst I have seen in my bloods previously. 2023 topped these numbers. Thyroid is off, I am taking T3. With the advent of the GLPs, specifically I really don't think I would use Clen and T3 anymore.
Simply the GLP is just more effective. No reason to muck up the thyroid function.

I am grinding. I feel a little tired and fatigued. Intensity is dropping a bit. Weight seems to be steady. However, I see more definition and still have peak strength. Just wondering if I am growing into the show. Especially with the MOTS-C.

Just going to keep grinding. I like how I look but I think can look even better for the next show. I do like that I should not have to do any funny business to make weight. I really just need to weigh in under 176.25 to remain a MW BB and CP.

At this point, I plan to keep everything the same up to Saturday evening. Rinse and repeat. Sunday and Monday will have the same work outs but at 50%, same cardio and walk. Monday get my hair cut.

Tuesday AM early, body grooming before the flight. I don't want to take the grooming stuff up to Pitt. Likely a fasting day till weigh in. Carb up a little after weigh in. Cut water in the evening. Stay dry and have fun. Two days of competition.

You're leaner that's the game now. :D you push hard to get the tightness closer to the show. @PrinceDaddy stay VERY fasted and try dry fasting so you lose a lot of water, no food no water.

Definitely feeling peak fatigue and Texas summer heat. I am strong, but just don't seem to have the oomph or intensity. I know I have to do it and I do it, but I am dragging. There are days where I see the physique and some intensity kicks in. Other days I just seem to slow down, skip a few things, and run out of time.

Tuesday is a no fasting day so I do have meals thru the day. Tomorrow back to OMAD, and Thursday I just don't cook dinner but have the meals thru the day.

I can see the outlines of some glute striations. Unfortunately, a lot of loose skin around the handles and bottom side of glutes if I squeeze too hard.

Going to see Superman this Friday with my friend's family. Kind of stoked for this. Don't go to the movies very much and also have a short attention span so much harder to be entertained and escape. Hoping the movie puts me in the right mindset to finish.

Definitely feeling peak fatigue and Texas summer heat. I am strong, but just don't seem to have the oomph or intensity. I know I have to do it and I do it, but I am dragging. I woke up and had some good gastric emptying today. With the Reta, it does not seem to always happen. Not a problem for me. As I can still work out, not feel bloated or inflamed. Was wondering if I would get close to 170, but 171 is it.

Fasting is something you should stay on and the gastric emptying, have you been doing regular probiotics and psyllium husk?

After some gastric emptying I have a new morning low @ 174. Post Work Out Steam/Sauna of 170. Very close to the target weight. This prep has been awesome. I'm tired, suffering a little, but no where near years past. There is a lot of experience, but also the Reta/MOTS-C have been incredible.

Another struggle for years past was making weight for my class. Classic Physique for my height was 170. I would usually be several pounds over and struggle to make weight. 2 years ago they added weight so it is now 177. I don't have to do anything drastic or crazy to make weight. MW Bodybuilding is 176.25, so I just want to be under 176.25 lbs.

I do think maybe for the next show in August I try to come in as WW under 165.25. I still think my body has 5 to 10 lbs to shred. At my current pace, I should be able to nail it later in August. We shall see.

Here are some pictures from today. I feel like if I can really tighten up the lower abs, it looks good. A real struggle for me with my uneven fat distribution. I can see the legs sharpen closer to the glutes. It comes off from the outside in. I am 170 in these pictures below. Another 5-10 lbs off the belly, glutes, and handles, I think.

@PrinceDaddy I think you're brining the complete package to this show. :D I think 170-175 is a good weight, but next year try to go a lower class, easier to tighten up as you really shred for the show. You have the build, we just need more time to prep.

Here are some pictures from today. I feel like if I can really tighten up the lower abs, it looks good. A real struggle for me with my uneven fat distribution. I can see the legs sharpen closer to the glutes. It comes off from the outside in. I am 170 in these pictures below. Another 5-10 lbs off the belly, glutes, and handles, I think.

After some gastric emptying I have a new morning low @ 174. Post Work Out Steam/Sauna of 170. Very close to the target weight. This prep has been awesome. I'm tired, suffering a little, but no where near years past. There is a lot of experience, but also the Reta/MOTS-C have been incredible.

Another struggle for years past was making weight for my class. Classic Physique for my height was 170. I would usually be several pounds over and struggle to make weight. 2 years ago they added weight so it is now 177. I don't have to do anything drastic or crazy to make weight. MW Bodybuilding is 176.25, so I just want to be under 176.25 lbs.

I do think maybe for the next show in August I try to come in as WW under 165.25. I still think my body has 5 to 10 lbs to shred. At my current pace, I should be able to nail it later in August. We shall see.

I'm kind of disappointed. You work so hard, pay so much money and don't place well. I do still enjoy it. I do feel like that I will really peak for the next show if progress continues as I have been trending. This should be considered my warm up show. This is a very competitive show. Many competitors do NPC Universe and NPC Masters with them being 2 weeks apart. Everyone has pretty much the same mindset, Pro card or bust. The conditioning is outstanding. I still enjoy it and will keep grinding. I'll post more details with a few pictures later in the week.

At this point, my biggest focus is to get back on track. Yesterday was a travel day and I did eat out of sorts. I don't think it was terrible as years past. I think the Reta is helping. I did have a big breakfast, 3 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage, potatoes, and Italian bread with butter. That plate was clean. I also had a few cliff bars, a king size payday, and king size peanut m&Ms. As soon as I got home, got back on my normal diet.
The focus today was just get back to my normal pattern.

So, today has been my normal Saturday, rinse and repeat of last Saturday. I have changed my target weigh in for the August show to 165,
I do believe there is still enough fat to lose and land there.

Big weight drop today. Walking in 90 degrees will do this to you. I am still strong, keeping the weight the same. 315 squats, 225 upper body presses, 130 dumb bell rows and rdls. My focus here is to just to get as conditioned as possible for the next show. My back poses look decent below. Really want to get striated glutes. I want to be able to wear my suit on stage to highlight the conditioning.

My biggest problem is my front. My delts and arms could use some more mass. I have worked hard focusing on these areas. They have grown, but still need more. The other issue is the lower belly. That is where my fat concentrates. I knew it was a problem, and in the show pictures it is still a problem. I just need to keep pushing the fat loss and see if I can get more lines in the lower abs.

I am progressing towards the 160s. There is fat to lose. I think easily another 10 lbs.

For the front, next offseason you should work on shoulders and arms big time and traps thats your working plan there. You'll need to bulk more to get the mass in the coming offseason.

Leg day in the books. No fasting today. Back to OMAD fasting tomorrow. Hot in Texas, but grinding forward. Brought my airfare for the next contest. Next time I will be going DFW-PIT for the show. I'm back. This is how I did

CP Over 55 Class A Placed 8 out of 11
MP Over 50 Class A Placed 8 out of 11
MP Over 55 Class A Placed 10 out of 13
BB Over 50 MW Placed 7 out of 9. Evening 6 did not show up along with others so I moved up and placed with 6th place.

I'm kind of disappointed. You work so hard, pay so much money and don't place well. I do still enjoy it. I do feel like that I will really peak for the next show if progress continues as I have been trending. This should be considered my warm up show. This is a very competitive show. Many competitors do NPC Universe and NPC Masters with them being 2 weeks apart. Everyone has pretty much the same mindset, Pro card or bust. The conditioning is outstanding. I still enjoy it and will keep grinding. I'll post more details with a few pictures later in the week.

At this point, my biggest focus is to get back on track. Yesterday was a travel day and I did eat out of sorts. I don't think it was terrible as years past. I think the Reta is helping. I did have a big breakfast, 3 scrambled eggs, 2 sausage, potatoes, and Italian bread with butter. That plate was clean. I also had a few cliff bars, a king size payday, and king size peanut m&Ms. As soon as I got home, got back on my normal diet.
The focus today was just get back to my normal pattern.

So, today has been my normal Saturday, rinse and repeat of last Saturday. I have changed my target weigh in for the August show to 165,
I do believe there is still enough fat to lose and land there.

Here's how it looks today. I can still pinch an inch.

At this point it is everything and the kitchen sink. I will keep the OMAD fasting. I may throw some 36 hour fasts also. Just thinking thru the next steps.

I am struggling with my workouts. Hoping things improve. I just don't have the get up and go. Just kind of tired and dragging. I am making progress. I had a refeed last Friday after the show. Also bumped calories on Tuesday this week. I think this is just Texas heat. It is now overwhelming.

@PrinceDaddy you still doing the GLP'1? if so you will def lose more body fat combined with all the fasting your are doing. i'm getting so lean that i am almost as lean as i was back when i used to run 50miles per week training for triathlons on reta
