Approved Log My Cut Cycle Log: Road to 200lbs or less! My first cut ever.

burritos apple pie gunnies :D full on refeed day :D they didnt have protein bars? @kcates

good training!
Oh we got protein bars and beef sticks. Getting back on things today. Started the day with protein shake at 430 am, 7 am protein bar and now beef stick. We are traveling and if u have never been in a Buccees then you don't know but it's sensory overload. They have a beef jerky bar. I could have gotten brisket by the pound. I just got what looked good to try. I got the monster burritos that has tons of meat in them, potato, and cheese. I ate 2 of those. I did refrain from cinnamon rolls and fudge that I wanted also. Lol. Me and my youngest son were in there just grabbing stuff to eat while we traveled and enjoyed ourselves. This is a special trip we are on. I am not going to make my diet an issue with everything my wife has planned. She is stressed enough without me complaining I need my meat. I am just going with the flow and going to eat the best I can with what I got for a few days. Be back Saturday and can get back to my routine. Biggest for me is not lifting until Saturday. I hate missing workouts. It makes me feel down.

that is a great story. i would have lied to them and said i had experience ;)
I would have lied too. They probably could have had a better employee at a lower starting pay. I’m pretty good mechanically too but I’ve been around some people that are almost like savants with machines. Can fix anything with next to nothing. It’s wild

Nice, I like it cold for work. It's cold here in South Carolina! I wish I had wore a thicker sweatshirt today at Paris island.
ah okay. yeah it gets super hot there too !

yeah unfortunately it takes lying to land desirable jobs. people lie to get ahead

They may have step up the game a little for us. Yes the platoon commander was there the base commander was there. The base jazz band played while we ate Christmas songs. Then after that we got to spend time talking to our sons drill sergeants which was the highlight of the night was hearing stories about the platoon and my son. We really enjoyed it. So proud of my son. We got to spend 930-1415 yesterday. It's like a whole new improved man he has become. He left home a boy and came back a man!

This was from yesterday. My wife takes all the pics or coordinates someone to. These were ones I got of where it all started for him day one to see him in the parade deck before he got to spend time with us for half the day.

Sounds like a nice alpha meal if you ask me. I'm sure you guys also talked about other stuff as well, like weight training and pumping the iron. That would be a fun dinner for me to attend. Maybe next time I can hang out with you guys. @kcates

Actually no we didn't talk about other stuff. We just wanted to hear about our sons time in boot camp from the drill sergeants perspective. Hearing there stories about the recruits was priceless. The drill sergeants wanted to hear what the recruits said to us earlier that day about the experience. So we shared stories.

@kcates looks like you had some really good food man. Alot of protein in those meals

Glad I ate like them but hlad I just didn't have to go do PT or hit the beach with the Marines. There beach is not like any other beach. If you know you know. Glad I never had to go there!
its hardcore there :D

awesome to see this :D happy he's moving to a positive part of life, congratulations @kcates EVO family support your way!

I never thought much about the Marines until my son joined..I have watched so many videos, read articles, and in Facebook groups for the Marines. I have way more respect for what they do then the surface admiration I had before. They truly are the hardcore soldiers of the armed forces. In my opinion I got great news. My son will not be going infantry. Part of his final testing he had to do pullups and he had to do a minimum of 6 to join infantry. When started 13 weeks ago he could do 1. Now he can do 5. He missed it by 1. In his 13 weeks at boot camp he lost almost 50 pounds. He lost 50 pounds to join. In total over the last year or so he has lost 100lbs. He now weighs 180lbs. Anyways now he will not be in the infantry but will become and ammunition technician. He will go to infantry school next for 28 days then he will go on to mos school up in Quantico, Va for his ammunition technician school. He seems still excited about the new job. I am just glad my son will not be on the very front lines. I know that is selfish but I love my boy and never want any harm to come his way.

i'm glad to hear your son is building a career.

Thank you. I am as well. He was on the wrong path for sure before he left. If you remember in my last log talking about it you know it was going to be death or jail was his future if things hadn't changed. Glad he is not following In his father's footsteps.

Lol, yes it was for the graduating Marines family without the marine so stories could be shared freely. It was a great evening and would not have wanted to do it without my wife. She wants to hear all the stories just as much as I do. My wife has myself who she calls her 3rd child plus 2 boys. She has heard it all already. There isn't anything she can't handle. Actually there heavy drill sergeant was a woman and all the Marines said she is meanest and toughest one. She is becoming a senior drill sergeant next cycle. Apparently the women are tough out there making other Marines cry. We got to hear about the family at our tables Marine that another female drill sergeant made there son break down and cry. Apparently the men and women that come in with any attitude at all become the targets of the drill sergeants there goal is to break that marine. They break them and that is when there real training can begin. The women do not get a water down version they have to meet the same standards as the men in the Marines.

Thanks, I can remember 3 speeches made by officers that they thanked us and gave us credit and welcomed us into the Marine family as well. That we were the preparation, guidance, and core values that got them to that point for them to make them Marines. You never look at it like that as a parent but true.

0 gram of fat in can of chicken. By the time I hit dinner I am not hungry but need the protein. It's cause I am eating lunch which I don't normally do since I am sitting at home doing nothing.

The pharmacy screwed up on my Mounjaro and filled my 10mg script when I need the 12.5mg script. Each box holds 4 auto injectors for the 28 day script. So now I got 3 months of extra 10mg. I wonder if I can extract it into a vial to draw out lower doses.

We need to get some fats in your diet, i see too low fats bad for joints, can we add nuts lets say walnuts and some fish oil? @kcates :D

12.5mg Tirzepitide is a hefty dose mate! How is your digestion/ gut health? Any issues?
On the test I was just wanting to gain strength and muscle. Now I am just trtvand cutting on the tirzepatide. Everyone keeps telling me to do eq and test. That is the plan for February. I hear people doing a mix of eq and deca which sounds interesting but think I should just add in one more compound to my test. If I was to do just test again I wonder if I should do 500 again or increase it to see if I get better results. Just thinking through all the options. Goal right now is still lose weight but hopefully by February I will be ready to pack on muscle and strength again. Yes I am on prescription Mounjaro.
Have you run a cycle in the past Kcates? Other than the 250 test you were recently on? If not there may be a better way to see the results you want than jumping straight to Test + EQ.

How in the hell do get all that food in on 12.5 tirz a week? I am microdosing .5 eod and can barely force a shake down!!
Damn bro, you really are a beast! You look great

it doesn't work that way :D if you dont eat fat the body will retain more fat, its the opposite @kcates
I was kidding. It's hard to get my sarcasm in text but I can't help it. If you ever met my wife she would tell you can't take me seriously and that I play to much. Lol. I was eating like that because of traveling and when we got home we were exhausted and we hadn't ordered food yet. I was scrounge up what I could and I wasn't that hungry. Were back on schedule as of Monday. But now I am sick with an upper respiratory, yeah 😞!

I had to take a 10mg shot the week before because the pharmacy messed up my order and I couldn't get it fixed before I left. Yesterday I took the 12.5mg shot and now today my stomach is messed up. When I took the shots before last week I was on 12.5 for a month I got the burps back. When the medicine is working good for me and curbs my hunger I get the burps. When it's really working good I sometimes get sick feeling the day after the shot. Or it could be because I ate all that ground beef and bacon last night. Usually it takes a day or so after a shot to really curb my appetite on the right dose after being on a lower dose. Today I should start not wanting to eat at all if it's working good. Yes, I can eat a lot if I want. I been this way all my life.

I don't know I just always been able to eat a lot. People would tell me they were surprised I wasn't bigger by how much I ate. I been thinking about adding cargilitide to see if that would help my appetite suppression.

ye, if you check out my last log it goes over my use of 200mg test and 50mg ed Var for 8 weeks cycle then went back to just 200mg test TRT and then I did a 500mg 12 week cycle that ended back in September.
I been on the tirzepatide for 27 months now. I am on prescribed for diabetes. Not normally but sometimes it messes up my stomach the day after I take the shot. When it's working good I get the burps all the time. These are common sides to the drug. I was on 7.5 for over a year and got use to it but I was building strength and was able to eat good on it so I didn't increase my dosage because I wanted to eat 300 g of protein a day. Being on 7.5mg that long when I went to 10mg in August I didn't even feel it. Then I went to 12.5 5 weeks ago and now I am feeling it again.

This block of training I am in the 8-12 rep range so I shoot for 12 if I get my 12 I increase weight the following week. @LevButlerov is loving this for me. But I dread two exercises in the 12 rep range, squats and deadlifts. Those are tough for me. I don't have the endurance in them yet. Use to 1-5 rep range on those. I will get better don't you worry Lev!

Nice work mate I'll cop that. Trialing Tirz myself at the moment (I'd only ever used reta in the past during contest prep). What's your plan for the EQ? I saw in one of your recent posts you were covering from crushed e2. If you're not careful then EQ will do the same.

Awesome compound, but it does come with a few considerations.

I never used Reta, my wife is using it though. I get a prescript for Mounjaro and I am dosed by my physician which was originally for diabetes but it controlled that at 5mg. We been increasing it to get me to lose more weight but getting pretty high on the dose. Not sure what happens when I get to 15mg and then it don't work no more for food noise.

The whole issue with e2 was it had constantly gradually gone up since I started TRT. Even when I did the 500mg a week it capped out at 96 when I did my mid cycle blood work and when I was on cycle I used arimidex to control it after the mid cycle blood work. Then when I came off cycle I stopped the arimidex because I figure it would come down with less test. But it didn't it went back up to 96. Then my doctor prescribed me arimidex and told me to take a 1mg a day. I told him that was to much. I told him I was controlling it on 500mg of test with .25mg EOD. So I did .5mg EOD to do a test and show him where it would go. Then I saw my hematocrit and red blood was still going up. So at that point I stopped the arimidex and dropped my TRT to 150 weekly instead of 200mg. I feel good. My estrogen is not high or low. I have learned what high and low feels like and I am not feeling either of those. I think I have about 3-4 weeks until I do blood work again to check hematocrit and red blood. Hopefully it goes back down into range. We will see. Long story short estrogen didn't crash on its own. I aromatize easily right now and arimidex works very well for me.

Yeah I agree but also feel selfish thinking that way because we do need soldiers and he was willing to give his life for his brothers and country so we all have the freedoms we do enjoy. But God has other plans. I guess sometimes it pays off not to be able to do a lot of pullups after all. Lol

I think you need to get the range into 25 you'll see a life change :D @kcates trust me on this
After last week's bit of a break. I am feeling strong in the gym this week. The going down to 150mg a week TRT don't feel any different which is good. Can't wait to see what it does for my blood work.
strong is good but you have to really get the volume in :D

I been this way all my life.
tbh I think fats can come down if you are doing bacon to see if that works for you, you are keeping protein high which is good!
anyway you can budget in retatrutide? @kcates

But now I am sick with an upper respiratory, yeah 😞!
on chat hard to say lol :P I'm also up and down sometimes funny sometimes not
i know travel can be hard my brother :D you will be back at it soon

Monday:
Training: see attached
Diet:
Daily supplements and meds
Injected: 75mg of test cyp and 12.5mg of Mounjaro today.
Meal after training: 13 ounces of ground beef, 6 eggs and a bunch of rice. I love fresh cooked rice. I didn't measure today I just put some on my plate. Hand ful of cheese.
Snack: 60 gram protein shake
Dinner: 1 pound 3 ounces of ground beef with cheese and bacon. I got some fat in today.
Nice workout mate and the bacon looks good!

My next phase I go to 20 rep range. First 4 weeks was strength, this 4 weeks is 12 rep range and next 4 weeks is 20 rep range. Then the program ends but maybe I push it to 25 rep range at that point. What will I see at 25 rep range? I don't understand what happens at that rep range.

Not right now. I may have to buy my own glp-1 next year if that is the case I will switch to Reta. We may have to change insurance due to cost. Insurance cost are getting out of control.

Today I am sick from this upper respiratory. I feel drained. I almost turned around and went home from the gym parking lot. I sucked it up and went in. I went lite on deadlifts but followed the rest of my pull workout. It's going to be a tough day. Wish I could just go back to bed. But not today!

@kcates those chicken thighs are not a bad idea. They're not expensive at all.

My only concern with going to Reta is it has less food noise reduction and I feel that is what I need most to keep me from eating crap or to much. Terzepatide from what I am hearing from others does a better job of this. Maybe we can hear more from Rap after he experiments with terzepatide since he has used Reta previously.

My biggest thing is I can't figure out how to consistently fix chicken breast that are juice. I can't stand a non juice chicken breast. If I smoke them I can make it happen but any other way I can't do it. I cook them to an internal temp of 165. I just recently heard from a customer to poke them and then brine them in pickle juice for a minimum of 2 hours and then cook. I am going to try it and see what happens. Thighs just stay more juice due to hat higher fat content and even warming them up days after there still good is why I like them.

Its possible. Tirzepatide is stronger, are you going to have more downtime soon or no go? @kcates

12.5mgs/week right now right?
Yes. Now what do you think about using Reta and cangrilintide for more appetite suppression? If I switch over to Reta what dose do I go to if I am coming from 12.5 mg of terzepatide to Reta in your opinion? I have read you go to the same doses. I think my body has a higher tolerance for GLp-1 due to maybe my body in general being so over weight begin with, then learning to force myself to eat on it to gain strength and muscle, and also they way the prescribed model you have to make 2.5mg jumps has gotten me a tolerance where I have to use. A lot now.

What do you mean by down time? Training can always be adjusted but work is getting more and more which is a good thing for my bank account cause we are slowly catching up financially. Now I am curious to what you got brewing in that mind for some down time?

With chicken breast it’s done as soon as the juices come out clear. Pull it from the pan or grill and squeeze. Little bit red coming out? Not done, juice clear? Done. If it looks done it’s done. Don’t cook it longer at all. You can do it

Bros chicken thighs a good idea. They not expensive, especially nowadays. @kcates So you save a lot of money.

I think if you can we should test doing short fasting on your days off to clear our your receptors. The issue here is not that the GLP1 is working or not, the issue is your receptors are saturated. To give you an example in gear if you use 2000mgs of test for 5 years it stops working like 2000mgs of test and becomes normal level.

Super clean food here great job bro!

I am all in the on fasting now. I can do 36 hours easy and it works like magic I'd love for you to try it. It will be harder for you since you're not OMAD but mentally you are strong, you can do it!

Just make sure your lungs are all cleared up good and proper first don't stress the body while you're fighting an upper respiratory tract issue.
