Congrats on the new sponsorship
Bro! Great macros today aswell very solid protein take for the calories. Holy crap you can walk, massive day there! How many do you usally get?
This was a day off work so it made it easier as kids were in school too. But when im on dayshift ill try get at least 6km which is about an hour. And depending on how buggered I am on night shift 3-6km. Night Shift I can do more walking at work too.
Im really trying to push it at the moment to burn extra calories especially while carrying a few tweaks. Elbow is pretty much fully back to normal a little issues now and again but can deal with it. My neck from 2 days ago is still quite tight but has gotten a bit better. I got a push workout done today. I just avoided bench press as I use all my muscles and didn't want to tense the trap and neck too much.

• Carbs: 157.6g
• Fats: 33.2g

Meals:
• WPC + coffee
• 270ml coconut water
• 2 eggs on bread
• 2 x meals Made from:
 - 500g chicken breast + 400g red capsicum + 300g broccoli, 250g spud lite potatoes + 200g taco sauce
• WPC + coffee
• 200g Chobani non-fat yoghurt + 150g pineapple

🏋️ Training
• Session Focus: Rest Day (no weights)

🚶 Cardio
• Steps: ~22,000
• Morning Walk: 2.5km (dogs)
• Walk: 10.2km (very brisk, pre-lunch)
• Walk/Jog: 2.8km (with daughter on scooter)

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• Appetite was really low today — struggled to get all my food in
• Think the reta is definitely having a strong effect, might need to look at reducing dose or splitting it across the week
• Calories ended up lower than I’d like and fats were pretty low as well — something I’ll fix tomorrow
• Still made sure protein stayed high, so at least that box is ticked
• Tried to keep food choices focused on getting decent micronutrients in, I don't want the reta suppressing my appetite to make me stop eating nutrient dense foods.
• Neck is feeling a lot better today — muscle relaxants seem to be doing their job
• Still held off weights to be safe, but feeling like I’m not far off getting back into it
• Cardio was high today — had the time off work so made the most of it
• Nice being able to get out with the kids as well, especially the walk/jog with my daughter
• Overall not a perfect day food-wise, but still stayed consistent where it mattered
• Just need to bring calories and fats back up slightly while managing appetite

Big announcement. Thanks to my new Peptide Sponsor @War Born Peptides I will have the honour to try out some peptides I have been eyeing off. SS31 and MOTS-C. This will be a great partnership and will be an awesome boost to my goals alongside the AAS cycle @Southern Cross Labs is graciously running me on.

Thanks mate! Can't wait for the TD. Ill be running ss31 solo for 14 days then adding MOTSC from then on. To see if individually I can feel it doing things.

Similar here. Less the last few days due to having hard work on my building taking place.

Yeah I got through the food that was recorded yesterday. It was tough though. I did inject reta on 2 days ago so im hoping its going to ease off a little. But it was lower calories compared to what I wanted. 2000- 2100 is my usual amount.
its ok lets move it up soon :D

Looking really good on this, bro. That's a cute little animal you have there in the picture. He looks very furry. Is that your pet or does he just run around wild? @theJimJim

Haha no way man. They will either run away or kick you. They have sharp claws on their feet and with the powerful legs can really mess you up. They will literally rest back on their muscley tails and kick out.
I wonder what your ancestors thought when they first arrived on the island and saw those things hopping around.

EDIT:

When Europeans first encountered kangaroos in the late 18th century, they viewed them with a mix of astonishment, describing them as "giant hopping rats" or bizarre creatures with heads like foxes, hands like men, and tails like monkeys. Initially seen as a fresh food source, they were later viewed as pests.

  • Initial Curiosity and Descriptions: Explorers and naturalists were bewildered by the kangaroo's unique anatomy, often struggling to classify them, notes Quora. Joseph Banks, on Captain Cook's 1770 voyage, meticulously noted their strange, leaping movement, says the heart thrills.
  • A "Culinary" View: Captain Cook’s crew was relieved to eat them, finding the meat "excellent," according to Reddit. They were quickly seen as valuable fresh rations, replacing months of salted meat, says Reddit.
  • Colonial Perspective: Later settlers viewed them with less wonder, often treating them as, at best, a curiosity or game for sport, and at worst, vermin to be eradicated, notes Environment & Society Portal. They were seen as inferior to European livestock and were accused of competing with sheep for pasture, according to Environment & Society Portal.
  • Indigenous Connection: Conversely, Indigenous Australians, who had coexisted with kangaroos for over 40,000 years, revered them as ancestors, kin, and a respected food source, says Environment & Society Portal

That's good that that digestive enzyme has lactase. That's in case you drink or eat something that has milk in it; that will help break down the lactose so you don't get bloated. @theJimJim

🚶 Cardio
• Steps: ~17,000
• Jog: 2km (post workout)
• Walk: 3km (park)
• Walk: 2.4km (dogs & kids)

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• First session back after the neck issue — took it smart and avoided anything that could aggravate it
• Skipped barbell benching for now, didn’t want that full body tension making things worse
• Overall the neck held up pretty well through the session, so that’s a good sign
• Just focused on movements that felt safe and still got a solid push workout in
• Strength felt decent considering the few days off — didn’t feel like I lost anything which is reassuring
• Food was good again today — protein high and meals easy to stick to
• Still keeping fats on the lower side, as I want the carbs for energy.
• Cardio still consistent — steps are just part of the routine now
• Good to receive the elite gut health + digestive enzymes from @RGSX — keen to see how they go, especially with digestion and nutrient uptake with the higher protein intake
• Overall happy with how I handled today — didn’t rush back stupidly, just eased into it and got the work done

Peptides are on their way! @War Born Peptides doesn't rest quick to get my stuff sent out. I will have the honour to try out — SS31 and MOTS-C. This will be a great partnership and a solid boost to my goals alongside the AAS cycle @Southern Cross Labs is running me on.

🚶 Cardio
• Steps: ~9,000

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• Short session today but made it count — kept intensity high and didn’t waste time
• Back felt strong — pulldowns and rows both moving well
• Grip and biceps held up solid through the volume too. Ive had some lactic burn in previous sessions and didnt notice any today. It was muscle fatigue/failure that set in first.
• Neck handled today fine again — no issues on pulling movements which is a good sign
• Still being mindful of positioning and not doing anything that tweaks it
• Nutrition was ok today. Only took one meal to work and realised I needed something else, local coffee place had a good protein bar, I would have preferred an actual meal but it was better than nothing — protein was good
• Fats came up a bit today which is good, more balanced overall
• Appetite still a bit suppressed but more manageable than previous days
• Current reta dose might be sitting in a workable spot, will monitor a bit longer or do 1mg every 3.5days instead of 2mg weekly
• Steps a bit lower today but expected with time constraints
• Not overly concerned — overall weekly activity is still high
• Gut health supps started today — interested to see if digestion improves over the next few days. See how oral BCP157 goes.
• Solid day overall — nothing crazy, just kept consistent getting my Pull session done. Will try to make up deadlifts which I had to pass on due to timings. It is one of the exercises I love but have to put a lot of concentration into and not rush.

Great stuff bro, solid workout. How often do you incorporate drop sets into your workouts and what's the idea behind them?

Looking nice and lean bro! Very noticeable differences.

Great stuff bro, solid workout. How often do you incorporate drop sets into your workouts and what's the idea behind them?

Looking nice and lean bro! Very noticeable differences.
Hey mate! I like doing drop sets as it helps push your muscles into the failure range further which should in theory signal your muscles to repair and try to build stronger.
With the workout last night. I didn't really have time to use multiple machines or exercises for the same range of motions so I wanted to push the muscle group as hard as possible with each exercise.
I hope that doesnt sound like gibberish and makes sense.
Feel free to fire any more questions

You’ve got a really solid, thick physique. Can’t wait to see how far you can take this

Weekly Weigh-In

101.0kg this week, down from 101.9kg.

Body has definitely started to equalise after the start of the cycle. Feeling noticeably leaner overall.

Had a solid good feel moment today—looked in the mirror and actually felt good about what I’m seeing. Physique is starting to come together, which is always a good sign things are moving in the right direction.
That said, not taking the foot off the throttle yet. Still pushing forward and aiming to get leaner from here.

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• Hit a new low weigh-in at 101kg — definitely moving in the right direction. Pretty stoked with the changes visually
• Physique is starting to look noticeably leaner, especially compared to the start of the cycle
• Leg session felt solid. Stayed pretty much the same weights as last session but could push more reps.
• Neck has settled really well now close to 100% normal again
• Food intake was solid today — protein high again and carbs came up which helped with training, this was planned before legs as I am trying to push them as they are lagging.
• Appetite feels more under control now — seems like I’m adjusting to the reta better
• This is probably a better balance between appetite suppression and still being able to eat properly

• Overall this week has been a good example of adapting — worked around injury, kept consistency high, and still progressing
• Weight trending down, strength holding, and starting to feel better looking in the mirror — can’t ask for much more right now

Great update like always JIMJIM!

Love that banner :) it shows team work by 2 powerhouse's

We here at SCL have nothing but the upmost respect for @War Born Peptides and the continued ongoing collaboration work with members of our team.

One thing you could always look at adding after your ss31 run would be something like SLUPP332. Hell of a compound or even 5amino1mq but I'm sure as fuck warborn has a plan for you long term to help you get to your goals 💪

Just throwing my 2cents in 👊👊

• No dedicated cardio — all from daily activity

📅28MAR
Weekly Weigh-In

101.0kg this week, down from 101.9kg.

Body has definitely started to equalise after the start of the cycle. Feeling noticeably leaner overall.

Had a solid good feel moment today—looked in the mirror and actually felt good about what I’m seeing. Physique is starting to come together, which is always a good sign things are moving in the right direction.
That said, not taking the foot off the throttle yet. Still pushing forward and aiming to get leaner from here.

• The Hungry Jack’s stop was more convenience than anything — not ideal, but didn’t let it turn into a full blowout. Also... delicious 😅
• Back end of the day was a lot cleaner once I had time to actually eat properly
• Good reminder to stay on top of meal prep, especially for busy work days
• Steps a bit lower but expected given the day

We've all been there with the diet adjustments. I always catch myself grabbing muscle nation protein bars and rokeby shakes if I've skipped meals when busy.

Solid log, appreciate the raw honesty.
Cheers man. Made do with what I had. I definitely felt it in the morning though 😆. Until I got a decent enough food choice(burger) and the coconut water in me i was feeling so tired and flat.

Look to say I wasnt tempted would be a lie. But I have a goal. I had some options and I always just put shit in my food app first. Usually its enough for me to see the data and think no fucking way what else am I going to eat today then. When I see the numbers of calories surpassing my general limits and not enough protein. That's my big queue. I want to make sure im at least fueling to maintain muscle recovery.

• Good reminder to stay on top of meal prep, especially for busy work days
• Steps a bit lower but expected given the day
• Overall not a perfect day, but still controlled — stayed within calories, kept protein reasonable, and didn’t let it derail anything

good day :D i like rest days with good reflection but consider your food today a bit of a refeed

Haha has already been said a few times. Need that Henry Cavill hairy look left at least.
yeah I'm a bit hairy too and the Mrs likes it that way - I shaved a couple of times for photo's and I swear it takes like 4% off your BF. Now I just trim it somewhat.

Love it brother, sometimes we need to adapt to the situation and by using these tools like the food apps we have at our disposal we can easily make better choices to prevent ruining our progress.

Love the Push session brother. Really strong in all lifts. Be interesting to see how the new compounds treat you once they are bedded in. Still have room to move on the Reta as well. 🩵

🚶 Cardio
• Steps: ~14,700
• Jog: 2.5km (post weights)
• Walk: 1km (cool down)
• Walk: 2.4km (dogs, afternoon)

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• Felt absolutely flogged today after training and lunch — full fatigue hit
• Lucky it was a day off work, the 45min nap post lunch was needed and actually made a big difference
• Big highlight — back to 160kg deadlifts pulled out sets of 5! Southern Cross Labs NPP giving me that strength 💪
• Haven’t been at that weight for a while so pretty stoked with that
• Strength is definitely there even with ongoing calorie deficit.
• Back work felt solid and consistent across the sets
• Second day on SS31 — nothing noticeable yet but not expecting anything this early @War Born Peptides
• Will just stay consistent and let it build over time
• Food was solid overall considering dinner wasn’t fully tracked
• Still confident protein was where it needed to be
• Energy crash could be from a mix of hard training + overall workload from the past few days
• Good reminder to take recovery seriously, especially with intensity starting to climb again post small injuries.
• Cardio still doing ok. Was slightly faster for the 2.5km today.

Nice workout mate. Some big numbers there. 160kg deadlifts for 5 reps is impressive. So is 82kg pulldowns and 75kg seated rows!

Just watch your fatigue. If you get a few days like this it might be time for a de-load.

Thanks man! I am starting to get fatigued more thats for sure. Thinking I may do a 2 week boost up of calories to closer to maintenance. Will ride this week out first at around 2000 cals first though.

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• First day running SS31 — keen to see how this goes over the next couple of weeks, especially with recovery and endurance
• Big positive today — digestion felt noticeably better
• Usually oats/bran bloats me pretty bad but the digestive enzymes actually made a difference
• Appetite felt pretty normal today — seems like things are stabilising nicely with the reta now but will see how the new 2mg shot today will make me fwel tomorrow.
• Bench press back in today — felt solid
• Took a bit of care with setup because of the neck but had no issues.

• Strength still holding well — multiple sets at 110kg is a good sign after the disruption earlier in the week up in weights on most exercises today.
• Overall push session felt strong — good balance of pressing and accessory work
• Food was solid — carbs up a bit which helped performance
• Overall just a really well-rounded day — training, food, recovery all lining up

@theJimJim Looking terrific on this boss. You beat the hell out of your muscles on this training. I like the bicep training.

Smart call on resting if your body is telling you to. Injuries are not going to help any progress at all. Whilst I will push myself to train, sometimes it would be smarter if I listened to my own advice and rested.
This is of course after I told @kamsikazee to not skip a leg session, because, well.... never skip a leg session 😬🩵

💊 Supplements

• 1000mg Vitamin C
• Cenovis B Complex (2 tablets)

🍽️ Nutrition
• Calories: 2005
• Protein: 214.5g
• Carbs: 139.2g
• Fats: 55.8g

Meals:
• WPC + coffee
• Muscle Nation choc brownie protein bar + pear 🍐
• 250g chicken mince + 250g veggies + jalapeños + burger pickles + American mustard
• Smoked tuna sandwich
• 2 Arnott’s Sao biscuits + 20g natural peanut butter
• Meal prepped red Thai chicken curry
 - 200g chicken breast + 200g Coles stir fry veg
 - Added water chestnut slices (good for texture)
• 200g Chobani 0% yoghurt + 100g pineapple

🏋️ Training
• Session Focus: Rest Day

🚶 Cardio
• Steps: ~20,000
• Walk: 5km (44:15 — fast pace)
• Walk: 2.5km (walked the gogs. Very easy going to allow lots of doggo sniffs)
• Walk: 5km (~50 mins, pre-dinner)

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• Fatigue hit pretty hard after work today — just didn’t have it in me for a proper weights session
• Made the call to skip rather than force it
• Last thing I want right now is a sloppy session and risking injury, especially after just getting back into everything
• Felt noticeably better after getting more food in
• Probably just needed the fuel — something to keep in mind on work-heavy days, make sure I bring more carb heavier meals to eat in the afternoon before I hit the gym.
• Instead of forcing weights, just pushed steps up
• 20k steps is solid and keeps things moving while still allowing muscles to recover and hopefully a more productive weight session tomorrow
• Meals are feeling pretty dialled in now and easy to stick to. Easy to adapt in other foods when I feel like a change up.
• Listened to the body, kept activity high, and will roll that missed session into tomorrow

Getting some great numbers on the steps in brother! Keep it up!

I think you made the right call taking a break from the weights! Gotta listen to the body sometimes!

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• Solid leg session today — good to be back under the bar after yesterday’s rest
• Safety bar squats felt stable and controlled could feel core engaging well.
• Trying to slowly build back into a compound leg exercise like squatting has been good. I have to use a lot of concentration though.
• Leg press moved well — volume felt strong and consistent across the sets
• Hamstring work and calves rounded things out nicely
• Proper burn by the end of it especially leg press. I had to walk around the gym between leg press and hamstring curls.
• Energy was definitely better today compared to yesterday
• Getting that extra food in made a difference
• Pre-workout combo with Milo + WPC actually hit pretty well — simple but effective
• Steps a bit lower today but that’s fine with a full leg session in
• Overall a good bounce-back day
• Body felt better and training felt productive
• Have been on @War Born Peptides SS31 since Tuesday. I don't necessarily feel anything but I know its a repair peptide for mitochondria. Setting up for MOTS-C which will be the more exciting one to start for me.

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• Really fun push session today — everything just felt like it clicked
• Bench was the standout
• Hitting 100kg for that much volume felt strong, especially backing it up across multiple sets
• Even squeezed out that last mini set just to round out the volume — happy with that
• Incline dumbbells at 30kg felt solid too
• Strength is definitely trending up again
• Triceps and delts handled the workload well — good pump and consistency across sets
• Energy was in a much better place today
• Lower carbs but still felt switched on, which was good to see
• Steps and activity in a good spot without overdoing it
• Overall just a really solid day
• Strength moving well, body feeling good, and everything staying consistent. I had a lot more energy today.

Great couple of updates bro. Looks like everything is coming good.

I tried that mustard and pickles combo with the mince. Great suggestion, was delicious 😋

📅 04APR – Weekly Weigh-In Update

Weighed in at 99.3kg this morning — pretty stoked with that drop again. Definitely feel like I might be holding a bit of water, likely from the last couple nights only getting around 6 hours sleep.
It’s been an interesting week overall. Monday through Wednesday I was dealing with more fatigue than usual, so I bumped calories slightly to compensate. The last few days have been much better energy-wise.

Training has still been solid — strength is continuing to climb with either more weight or reps across movements. I do wish I squeezed in a few more short jogs, but my walking pace has noticeably improved and feels easier, so that’s a win.
Peptide-wise, I’ll be continuing with SS31 from @War Born Peptides — that’ll be 7 days in by Tuesday. Then another 7 days until I start MOTS-C… although like all PEDs, patience isn’t exactly my strong suit 🤣

The AAS cycle from @Southern Cross Labs has been feeling great so far. No noticeable sides at this stage — just increased strength, better pumps, and faster recovery between sessions. The NPP has been unreal for my joints as well.

Planning to get bloods done this week to check where E2 is sitting and decide if Aromasin is needed, and at what dose. I was going to do it yesterday but forgot it was Good Friday and everything is closed.

If the bottom of my chest and stomach could just melt away first and tighten up please... I'd be way happier and closer to ending my cut/recomp. Still bloody happy with the changes so far.

Thanks mate! Its a lot to fit in with work, family etc. Will be nice to get to the goal and be able to free a little bit more time up with slightly less effort on getting as much cardio in. Ill be able to drop a little of it. I'll still do cardio for heart health but not stressing over trying to get say 15-20k steps

@theJimJim looking good man. There's no telling how much progression you'll get. You got a nice flat stomach. That's a very important thing to have.

🚶 Cardio
• Steps: ~16,000

🧠 Notes / Reflection
• Big drop on the scales today — down to 99.3kg
• Pretty stoked seeing that, feels like things are really starting to move now
• No weights today but honestly didn’t feel like I needed it
• Body felt like it benefited more from just staying active and recovering
• Got a solid amount of steps in without forcing it
• Morning walk especially felt good — nice steady pace and cleared the head
• Food was a bit higher today but still controlled
• Had the brownie with the kids which was worth it — not everything has to be 100% robotic. We made it a fun activity to mix and cook the recipe.
• Protein still solid and overall intake balanced out well
• One thing I noticed — probably should’ve spread my carbs out a bit better through the day
• After the walk I felt a bit off going into the shops, kinda dizzy like low blood sugar
• Had an iced coffee and then got that 1L coconut water in around lunch and felt way better pretty quickly
• Good reminder I can’t just lump carbs wherever, especially with the amount of activity I’m doing
• Timing them a bit better will probably help keep energy more stable
• Energy overall was still pretty good outside of that dip
• Just one of those good, balanced days especially hanging out with the family and finding some fun activities to do together.

• Progress showing, still enjoying the process, and everything ticking along nicely
