worth continuing MK-677 for appetite?

Looking for some honest input from people who've been around the block.

I'm 18 and I've been training consistently for about a year and a half. Not using anabolics and not planning to. My natural test is already on the higher side and I'd rather get the most out of my natural gains before I even start thinking about that stuff.

My main issue is appetite. Bulking is genuinely hard for me, I just struggle to eat enough to grow. I ran MK-677 for around 2 months and saw good results, mostly off the back of the appetite bump. I got bloods done toward the end of the run to make sure nothing was off and everything came back in range (results attached).

for my situation, is it worth continuing to use MK-677 or anything else that bumps ghrelin for appetite?

P.S. AST/ALT are elevated because I train 5 days a week and lifted the day before the draw, so I'm not worried about those.

First off all, congratulations. You’re one of the smarter and more level headed young men to have posted here lately. Rare.

Second, as a policy we don’t encourage any PED use for a man of your age. And no logs either until you’re 21, if I recall.

So as much as I enjoy sharing my experience with mk677 I’m not going to do that. You know you’re playing with fire.

What I am willing to say is that I was probably 140 pounds and a hair over six feet tall when I was your age, but I was much stronger than I looked and very athletic. When I started a very strenuous hard labor career at that age I felt like a little bitch. I’d pull the cable, and the other Groundhand (6’6” 240# athlete) would get on the end and pull me right off the ground like a child. So I did what my dad said they made him do in the marines. Every meal, eat two meals. Double rations.

When I’m trying to gain weight I’m eating too failure. Literally. Jaw cramping, falling asleep while eating. Getting out of bed to hit my macros. Yes it’s hard but it will work. Best I can do

Honestly, at 18 and only a year and a half in, you're better off learning to

"train" your appetite naturally with calorie dense foods rather than relying on a secretagogue.

Since your bloods are in range, you're in a good spot to just focus on the fundamentals, MK-677 can get messy with insulin sensitivity and prolactin if you lean on it too long.

Stick to the natural gains for now 💪 you've got plenty of room to grow just by being consistent with your macros bro 💯

you're too young for any mk677 @FML you need to start taking more creatine and training more
and if you cant eat, drink protein shakes to boost up the food.

obsessing over your test levels and bloods at 18 years old might seem like a wise idea but it isn't. you are still developing your body

also having appetite issues as a teenager is NORMAL. using a PED to fix that is not a good idea. you should focus on optimizing diet/training right now

Well worded post @FML and you clearly have some idea of what you're doing. Bloods look good and you're obviously training hard which is great. Your Test levels are high range as you're 18 so I'd ride that out and not mess with anything just yet, even MK677.

For starters you say you're having trouble with diet and eating for gains so can you lay out for us a typical daily diet and macro count?

Agreed with all of the brothers here 💯 @FML Just to give you an idea of what's possible naturally with hard training & higher calories in the mix, I myself started training at the age of 15 years old. I weighed 68kgs at the time with no visible abs at 6ft tall & with consistent hard training, 2 years later at the same height at 17 years of age I weighed 95kgs. For extra example my arms went from 11.5" in circumference to 17" in circumference & my abs were also now visible. I didn't take any supplements or vitamins, Creatine, nothing at all & was completely natural at the time.
The only thing that I did differently was I drank 1litre of light milk per day. That was it! 1 litre of milk on top of the normal amount of food that my mother was feeding me.

Cheers for the reply, that makes sense. Happy to leave the MK alone for now and just ride the natural test while I've got it.

as for the diet, here's roughly where I'm at.

I'm usually sitting around +100-300 over maintenance. (this does fluctuate heavily though) I'd happily eat more but appetite is the thing holding me back. Past that point it starts feeling like a struggle to get food down.

I'm pretty lucky on the food quality side. I'm in a position where I can eat clean, so it's mostly organic stuff, and I get my meat and milk straight from local farmhouses. I'll have the odd cheat meal but I don't make a habit of it.

Macros are around:
Protein: 2.2g/kg
Fat: 1.1g/kg
Carbs: 7g/kg

To be fair I only really treat fat and carbs as a rough guide. As long as I'm hitting my calories for the day I'm not too bothered where exactly they land. Protein is the one I actually stay strict on and make sure I hit.

Keen to hear any thoughts.

Cheers mate, appreciate the kind words and the advice. The double rations thing keeps coming up so clearly I need to stop treating "full" as the finish line and just push through it.

and no worries about not going into the MK stuff, I get it.

many of us having been using these PED's for longer then you've been alive so these are good questions
My simple answer is this: your life doesn't end at 25. You should be building a base and building muscle memory at your age.

if you take any PED, even if it isn't super liver toxic. it will still strain your organs.

Bros, I don't think it's worth it especially at your age. Your appetite will come as you get older and your body wants to grow.
