And Another one ,Protein Question that is?

I was wondering if I take a protein shake before during , after my workout will that make the size of the muscle mass bigger then if I didnt take it , or dose it only help aid in heal faster so I gain muscle mass faster?
 
To answer your question.. yes it will help you recover, and build some muscle, that is, in conjunction with a proper diet and appropriate water intake..sleep, etc etc
 
you absolutely want to be consuming a high quality whey isolate post workout... check out isolation at www.n2bm.com for this...
as far as throughout the day, supplementation is very beneficial... you wil find significant benefits by adding and implementing protein and quality types of whey throughout... i've done a video series on protein and understanding it... start here... there's an entire series on types that i have done as well...

Definitely.. I dont drink it during but the other times are effective. Throw some Dspark to boost test levels and you will build muscle and strength no doubt
 
Before and after the workout is good. Post workout is def the most critical time.

Half a Naner (banana)
Some Raw Nuts
Some Fiber (Psyllium)
If I want Flavor - Unsweetened Cocoa
If I want Sweet - Stevia without Dextrose

If your diet sucks, no amount of supps will work.

Frankly, a lot of the pre-intra-post stuff is just supps companies taking advantage of the body dysmorphia issues of gym rats. If you eat a properly during the day, you pretty much have it covered. Emphasis on the word "properly".
 
I am a big fan of real food after a workout, as I workout in the AM but shakes come in handy if I can't.
 
As long as your protein needs are met for the day is what matters for growth. A protein shake is not what makes or breaks you, but it can be the difference. It depends on what your protein looks like throughout the day, which includes any protein sources, not just shakes
 
When I am on my grind I eat 4-6 protein rich meals a day and normally drink two shakes one in the morning and one post workout.

after workout is most important for shakes and you want whey protein because it shuddles fast!

Besides that overall protein intake is what matters, i wouldnt bang your head over it.
 
Daily intake has been proven over and over again to have bigger impact than pre/during/post all of which have no substantial proof of being necessary except for you obviously need energy from preworkout meal if you like to lift with high intensity, however I like to eat or drink a shake right after workout because otherwise I am exhausted but again no scientific proof of either being detrimental for muscle growth as in not eating in that imaginary 30 min anabolic window doesn't mean no gains for you unless you extend the window for another like 30 hours or so
