Approved Log First Cycle Plan and Log

that is great you have a big family. like the brady bunch
my daughter got taken away from me twice.

once when my wife left me, and the 2nd time when my wife killed herself
Man that’s terrible

you're getting a lot of food but it's good quality food so that's important

keep up the good work this week love your motivation

Breakfast breakdown and picture and training log attached. I looked and there’s no way for me to export the training log to text.

Leg day today. Leg day is tough for me. I feel my legs have a LOT of room for growth. I’m always INSANELY sore after legs. I try to focus on form over weight and probably go higher reps because of some joint pain in my knees and hips with certain exercises.

It feels like SO MUCH food. I can’t help but think I’m overeating after being on a cut for 4 months. I’m more than double the calories I was eating during my cut and I keep second guessing it.

I ended yesterday just over 3200 total calories. Macro breakdown was 366g carbs, 305g protein, and 67g fat. My fiber was crazy yesterday at 89g too.

Any more feedback on total calorie intake or macro breakdown would be great!

Wait… more protein than the 300g per day that I’m at now!? I feel so full already.

Meal logs for lunch and dinner and pictures of each.

@steadfastsavage meals looking clean
yea over 300grams go to 330-50 HARD to grow, more protein = more growth

Jesus. Okay. Keep carbs the same? 350g carbs and protein and 65g fat? Total calories at around 3385. Sound better?

Up that protein to 300g a day. 200g is for natties.
That’s what I was doing. I already increased it to 300g a few days ago. Eddie said to go up to 330-350g protein instead. 🤯

@steadfastsavage carbs stay but protein goes up, its best to get protein up for muscle growth
that sounds good but with higher protein
Okay. So I’ll switch this today. Just leaving for the gym now. 350g carb, 67g fat, and 350g protein. Shooting for 3400 calories a day. Good @Eddie Haskell?

Okay. This looks so crazy to me but I understand completely. If it looks good to you guys, I’m all in.

How are you getting 180g of protein from the breakfast? Does the flapjack mix have protein powder in it? Can you break down the macros of each thing.

Sure. See images attached for a breakdown of each breakfast item. The pancake mix is from Kodiak and they are specifically known for the high protein content. The Fairlife milk I used is also protein milk and I added a couple scoops of protein powder to the mix as well. Between the pancakes and Greek yogurt with chia seeds it was about 156g protein total. The rest of it was pre-workout before the gym in the morning. 🙌🏻

Here’s my food intake today. Finished the day right around 3200 total calories. Couldn’t completely stay away from the protein bars. I’m usually using a couple scoops of whey protein isolate per day. Is this okay or do you suggest whole protein sources all the time without any powders?
Nice job with the food

@steadfastsavage omega 3 going up perfect
push it EVEN more
i want to see you keep high protein on this diet and high training

Dinner log and photo attached. Finished the day at 3600 calories! Thanks for the feedback so far. I will be including more omega-3 moving forward. We have cod liver oil we give to my kids everyday for their brain health and I’ve never taken it. I take a couple fish oil capsules a day as well but going to double that up. Is there any specific number you would like to see for the omegas?

As for training, I’m sore af after leg day every week for several days. The rest of the workouts, I’m sore but it doesn’t really last more than a day or two. Is that normal? Any workout splits you guys really like such as StrongLifts 5x5 or something else?

Try the high protein but you don't have to stick to it it's your log

eddie a big protein guy, try his strategy out and let us know

I know a lot of vegan bodybuilders you can definitely do it on low protein

Morning breakfast log. I didn’t have it in me to make food this morning so ended up with cereal. Taking a sick day for training. I have a wicked headache I went to bed with last night and woke up the same way. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Good news is I can still feel a little soreness in my chest from training Monday, my legs are still sore from training on Tuesday, and my back and traps are sore from yesterdays training so I’m feeling good.

Going to take my rest today and focus on healthy eating and some additional supplements for immune support. Took vitamin c and zinc along with my normal supplements this morning.

Took my 3rd test shot last night. .5ml of 200mg/ml into my left delt. My delts seem SO MUCH easier than glutes. Does the needle really need to be an inch long for IM injections when I’m so lean though? Feels like deeper than needed but I could be wrong.

Man your food always looks good

Lunch log. I forgot the can of salmon I had sitting on the counter. I went to get the can opener and got distracted. 😂

Oh well. It was great without it. Just wanted the extra omegas and protein. I’ll have to make it up with a snack in a bit.

I like to keep my protein lower
What macros do you like to do @2Thick? I’m trying to build lean muscle. Not trying to be the biggest dude in the gym but do want to look like a Greek god. 👀

Would love more guys to throw in any advice on macros and calories. I’m using this log as a learning experience from all of you guys. I don’t claim to know much so learning from all of you is why I’m here and doing this.

Any advice is welcome. I take feedback and criticism very well (although my wife may not say the same).

@steadfastsavage thats a nice meal on both times

very happy to see you eating high protein but you can even push it higher with your goals

rest is good and if you want immune support add olive leaf and elderberry too

regarding injection
IMO 1 inch for IM is fine but just dont stick it all the way in if you doing delts, go like 3/4th or less and push slowly

You guys keep telling me more! 😂 I’m already so full! Is there anyway you guys recommend to get more without feeling like I’m going to explode? Whole foods are so much more filling than loading up on carb powder and protein powders! Finding that I can’t manage to get to the protein goal here without some powder each day.

On the injection, I use an auto injector so that won’t work.

@steadfastsavage food is required to grow ;) try getting more liquid powder bro

Dinner log. I’m full. Hit 3550 total calories. Photos attached of food and details for dinner and total macros today.

Breakfast and training log for this morning. Let me know if you guys want any further details on anything listed. I did add a tablespoon of hot honey to my breakfast. Thanks for the tip @Npcclassicphysique champ! I don’t like too much sugar so I think I’m going to get some carb powder from 1st Phorm. I like that it doesn’t have added sugars and they make it from oats and sweet potato.

More weight… agreed. Assuming you mean higher weight for less reps?

I know I can be on TRT for that long. I understand I’ll likely be on it forever. I’m trying to understand why I need to be on TRT for 6 months before doing any cycle. Does it really take that long for levels to even out with my hormones? I guess I’m just being impatient as I want to up the dose on the test at the very least. You guys are my voice of reason which is why I’m here and not just trying to do this alone.
The body goes through many processes during trt and being newer with all of it, the reason guys are saying test the waters out is because the body constantly changes during this period.

I know for me it took 1 year for being fully dialed in with trt, from understanding estrogen conversion on the dose into how much AI I needed or didn't need AI at all, body fat levels play a huge role.

Analysis of bloods and comparison of first starting and how they look months later, keeping an eye on hemicrait and hemoglobin, water retention, overall mood and strength etc.

Truly understanding on a basic level of what you are doing before you add a cycle into the mix is super important so you stay healthy and don't do to much at once.

I can assure you I felt strong and great on 150mg test, the minute I ran my first mild cycle trt alone sucks lol, completely changed my entire perspective, so enjoy the ride and the moment and build a strong base on trt before jumping into a cycle.

This is a completely different world when u start cycling brother, it's just to help you and give u time for researching and picking the correct compounds before u make a mistake and just jump on something is all.

I think I love you @Noah Wixx. HAHA!

For real though... thank you for this. It's easy to forget. I am starting to feel like something is working. Told my wife we are going to need to start having more sex since I'm "excited" much more often the last few days. Haha! That's something I can live with. 💪🏻😂

I am feeling really good so far and I'm only taking my fourth injection tomorrow. It's a lot to take in with the diet stuff as my entire fitness journey so far has been focused on weight loss and cutting. Eating around 3500 calories a day is pushing it for me since I have been on about 1500 for the last 4 months. Everything in my fitness world has been effectively turned on its head.

This morning, for the first time, I looked in the mirror at the gym and felt like I was changing. Seeing vascularity moving up from my shoulders to my neck and feel like I was just getting more pumped than normal. Let's GO!

Lunch and snack update. I’m out of carbs today for my macros. Do you guys even worry about any macros REALLY other than making sure the protein is high enough and total calories is at or above goal?

Once you start TRT, you will be on it forever or just feel lousy if you skip it for a while. Think of the TRT as a base to anything you add. You will know how the base works over the first 6 months. Afterwards, you will be able to identify what other added compounds do. If you start with everything now, you won't have a baseline. You won't know if a certain compound is affecting you adversely or helping you immensely.

You will make gains on just TRT. It is in itself like a mini cycle. I went from 150 to 160 on just TRT. Also Testosterone is natural, your body would make it, you are just injecting it. Some other compounds are not naturally in your body. Some people get prostate thickness or thick blood and have to donate blood. You should take the time to see what the base does.

Your choice, it is just a suggestion. It is how I did it. I think it worked out ok for me. I do regular blood work. You have to be aware, that we are taking risks with some compounds. We are likely shortening our life span with some of these risks. Just monitor and make informed choices.

Best of luck, you have a good plan.

Excellent addition and expansion of the reply post I made. I absolutely agree with everything you said brother.

Thank you for this @PrinceDaddy! I appreciate you brother! I understand and will be holding off until I learn more. I didn’t get into this world when young like most so just trying to play catchup a bit I guess. I’ve always been relatively impatient even though my discipline is on point! Just need to stay disciplined with my increased food intake and training while I wait for my body to figure out the hormones.

I’m excited to learn and grow with all of you. Thank you all for being by my side through this journey.

Finished out the night with something really simple to finish off calories. I was actually hungrier than usual with a good arm workout this morning so finished just a hair under 4000 tonight. 😳🤯

that processed meat is a real killer man. hard to digest and really does a lot of damage in the gut.

Dang… didn’t even think of that. 🤦🏻‍♂️

keep your diet on point that's going to be the best way

when it comes to trt just know what you're getting into

What do you mean here? I was only at 259 total T with my last bloods. Figured it’s justified to be on TRT.

pepperoni is a killer so is cold cuts
I was thinking about this more and wondering why? Everything we buy is organic and has as few additives as possible. I find it funny that here we are putting toxins in our bodies with a variety of chemical compounds but the pepperoni is going to kill us. 😂

Those hard training days definitely make ya hungry

Going to need a decent amount to eat tonight as I’ve not had anything substantial other than some snacks and a couple oz of salmon since breakfast.

@LevButlerov the macro goals I have each day currently are 350g carb, 350g protein, and 80g fat landing me just over 3500 calories a day. Seems decent to me but love feedback.

Here are my snack (post workout), lunch, and dinner details and picture of dinner. Big eating. Had to take a break and go back to it to get it all down. Finished the night just under 3600 total calories and macro breakdown photo is attached. Included a picture of the chicken just in case you guys wanted to give me crap about it. I’d love to hear your thoughts! 😀

Question: How fast should I be gaining weight as I bulk up? I know I have two things going on here as I’m on TRT for the first time and also eating a ton more calories than I was while on my cut. I believe with just the eating, it should be about 1/2 lb per week as a healthy standard but not sure how the testosterone affects this. Weighted in this morning at 167.3 lbs. Chart attached of my weigh in history. Love to hear your thoughts.

Full day log with pictures and food details. I gave in to two protein bars during the SuperBowl but, the alternative was the pizza my kids were eating so I justified it.🤦🏻‍♂️ No training today.

I'm not a believer in paying attention to the scale
pay attention to the Mirror and if your strength training pay attention to how much weight you're pushing

I appreciate your insight here! I figured if I was adding weight to the scale too quickly, it’s going on as fat and not muscle meaning I should dial back my caloric intake a bit.

Steve’s right. I hardly ever pay attention to the number on the scale. The mirror tells me all I need to know.

Other than getting more frequent erections, I haven’t really felt any difference with my TRT so far. I’m getting bored. Can I do steroids yet? 😂
