How much testosterone for bodybuilder TRT?

I'm looking to get on bodybuilder TRT and need your advice. I'm currently 48 years old. I'm not too worried about my long-term health. I'm worried about my short-term gains. What would be a good dosage of testosterone if I were to do bodybuilder TRT? Should I hit it at 300 mg a week or is 400 mg more appropriate?
 
I figure, you’re 48, looking for short term gains. Well that’s not really trt. You’re wanting to do a long cycle. So you need enough to support your training without side effects that would stop you short. But you can call it whatever you want🙂.

What are you taking now? Where is your progressive overload taking you? What have you taken before, and are you healthy enough to do a long cycle like that?

You should start with 300mgs with hgh thats bodybuilding trt :D
 
Im in similar situation but happy sitting on 150mg test e weekly, bloods are good and diets clean.
What do people consider a safe weekly dose of deca to run with the test?

Bodybuilder TRT is essentially anything above what a healthy TRT dosage should be. Just be aware of the risks.

What do you mean by safe? I don’t like deca. It makes me feel terrible after a few weeks and it takes weeks to wear off. But I do get good results from it. Like I look good. But there’s lots of ways to look good and it’s not worth it. You can start your own thread🙂
 
No log. Been on trt for 8 months and found 150 to be my sweet spot.
Have used deca in the past in cycles and as Im 49 y.o, life long trainer and work a physical job it’s ideal for keeping my body moving and relatively pain free.
Im defs not looking for massive gains, more sustainability.

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

If you’re going to run it a long time I’d run it low. 50mg/wk

Usually you're going to be running around 300 mg a week. But bodybuilder TRT puts a lot of pressure on your organs. Keep that in mind.

Bodybuilding TRT, you'll do fine at 300 mg a week. I wouldn't go any higher.

150 mg usually is pretty good; it just depends on what your blood work says. I would be getting my blood taken out every chance I got though.

Bros, for TRT you're gonna do good on just 100 mg a week but if you want to do bodybuilder TRT, it's gonna be more, two, three, four times as much.

Thanks for posting @Andi76! You're exactly my age and I'd love for you to post a log up. TRT+ tends to be around 200-300mg. It would be great to see another dude who's pushing the big 5-0 years old running a log on here.
