190kg/418lbs from before xmas

C Belt.jpg

So this came today. Quite possibly both the best and last power belt I'll ever buy. The teeth allow for a 1/2-inch adjustment and all lever type belts let you go tight.

More on the mindset: I mentioned I'd bought it to a would be younger strongman buddy of mine. He says 'why not do a 400-kilo / 800lbs Hatfield Squat this year with that belt?'. Kinda crazy I thinks... then I start with 'well if I get the 365kg/803lbs I COULD aim for 380kg by the summer and then MAYBE it's not that far to 400kg. Even the other day when I repped the 340kg I felt like I could have done the 365kg then and also looked at the bar I thought that there was room for another plate on each side.

Head up ass setting up crypto stuff with a new account. Urghh. Always a pain. New belt (forgot to adjust it to being OVER my support belt... rookie mistake lol)
Power Squat Machine
to 545kg/1200lbs x 4 reps

Leg Press
to 632kg x fail. Zero power. Felt deeper than usual but still

Lying Leg Curls
to 9p x 8 reps

Leg Extension
to stack+10kg x 8 reps

Tuesday
For whatever reason the fail on the max leg press weight prayed on my mind overnight. I felt stiff etc today and nearly took the day off. It ended up just great
Seated Press
to 102.5kg/225.5lbs x 4 reps

Saxon Bar Work
to 103.75kg x 3 n/s reps, 2+1 r/p reps, 3 n/s reps

Monday
@Powerhouse Gym. I went for one reason and one reason only...
Hatfield Squats
I spoke to the owner. If I bend it I replace it (it didn't bend = phew).
To 340kg/748lbs x 2 (PB). I could have done 3 and it moved around etc. I nearly put the 365kg/803lbs I want on and did that too

Leg Press
to filled x 8 (670-700kg??)

Lying Leg Curl
(1st two sets were standing as machine was in use) to 16p x 4 hard reps

Leg Extension
to stack x 8 reps (easy)

Count them... 8 plates a side. My brain... room for one more!!
DAMN YOUR A BEAST!! 💪

we are proud of you mobster you representing Evo with pride

would love to see Roid Rage go up against mobster one-on-one strength challenge
RoidRage is a strong mo fo. He'd beat me on deadlifts for sure. Maybe pressing overhead too. But he uses more machines than I do so I might beat him with freeweights. Eiether way it'd be fun which is why we do it

Thursday
@ Powerhouse Gym. Great chat with a competing bodybuilder at the end.
Hammer Dumbbell Curls
to 90kg/198lbs x 10 reps @

Skull Crushers
to 96.5kg/212/3lbs x 6 reps

Reverse Standing BB Wrist Curls
to 50kg/110lbs x 8 reps

Great job Mob

Not sure how equal the competition would be since @Mobster you’re like 5-6” taller and weigh like 55lbs more than @RoidRage69 lol 😂 at what 315lb how tall are you 6’3” or something?? Mr. RR is 5’10” 262lbs ish. But pound for pound idk. I’m not that good at math. You have all those cool machines that you can plate load to crazy weights! So hard to say. 💪🌸

Yeah 6'3. But RoidRage, inch per lb, is about my equal. I think her'd hand me my ass on deadlifts for sure.

But as it's unlikely to actually happen lol...

Friday
Strolled in late thinking I was training solo and my buddy had been waiting for me to arrive lol. We both ended up killing it on bench press. Missed (just cos I couldn't do it) spotting a bodybuilder who had, last Friday, done 3 sets of 6-8 reps with 80kg/176lbs dumbbells on a flat bench (impressive stuff).
Close Grip Bench Press
140kg/308lbs flew up so quickly I thought we'd misloaded it. Worked to 172.5kg for 3 sets x 3 reps which may be a set/rep PB (I remember a vid of me doing 3 reps but not multiple sets of 3)

Low Cable Row
to 20p (eqv to 120kg/264lbs) x 20 reps med width handle

MiraFit 60mm Handle work
to set up +
LH: 85kg x 2 sets x 2 reps and 1 x 3 (1st set was hard - killed the last set)
RH: 87.5kg x 3 sets of x 3 solid reps

Bwt: 316lbs

Monday
Needed to get my head in the game for Lever Squats but once I did it was on! The whole session, inc a warm up set on lever squats, was 10 sets total. I know that there are readers of my log who do that for biceps alone.
Lever Squats
105kg x 8 reps, 205kg x 8 reps, 335kg/737lbs x 4 reps

Iso Lever Leg Press (weight per side)
100kg x 8 reps, 190kg/407lbs x 6 reps

Lying Leg Curls
4p x 8 reps, 9p+2.5kg x 4 reps

Leg Extensions
1/2 stack x 8 reps, stack+12.5kg x 4 reps

Dumbbell Curls
to 32.5kg x 9 reps

Tricep Pressdown
Rubber grips missing on the cambered bar... still got it done
to 18p x 6 reps (had to reset my feet as I moved on rep 4)

Standing BB Wrist Curls Forward

Per leg. And this machine has you start 'in the hole' (so the deepest position)

Friday
Early to gym, (and my buddy was still already there ha ha). Possibly heaviest by volume with the working weight bench session ever. Slightly off at the end possibly as a result of chatting with a competing bodybuilder.
Close Grip Bench Press
to 175kg/385lbs x 3 x 3 reps (slightly out of the groove on rep 3 set 3). My backside was just about still touching the bench on sets 2 and 3.

s/s

Iso Lever Mid Rows
to 140kg/308lbs x 5 reps

MiraFit 60mm Handle
to set up plus
LH: 82.5kg x 3, 2 and F reps (see too much chatting here as I was also up against the clock at this point)
RH: 87.5kg x 3 x 3 reps

My new gym buddy, potentially a pro, has said he'll be there just to watch me. Right now all I'm worried about is the bar bending - it's gonna be, cos of the lack of room for smaller plates, 8 x 20kg/44lb and 1 x 15kg/33lbs a side. Which is 370kg/814lbs x 1

I'll have someone film it and or take photos. If I do this sh*t I'll get that mutha printed off - maybe one for the gym too!!

mobster is showing everyone how to train at 60

have one person do video and another picture that would be cool

Mobster is showing us all how to become a beast

very nice job buddy you are doing great

Great work mob

@Mobster Solid update as always......

Monday
He came, he saw, he kicked ass! I did all I needed to to prep for the Hatfield Squat. That included a double Ristretto before and another gratis gym coffee on arrival. My go to music playing as I walked to the gym and a little (2x) stretching Sunday.

Hatfield Squat
Bar x 8 reps, 140kg x 8 reps, 230kg x 6 reps (*support belt only), 350kg/770lbs x 1 (PB), 360kg/792lbs x 1 (PB) and 370-kg/814lbs x 1 (PB) rep. All heavy sets with the super duper new belt and Inzer red/black knee wraps (had a harder set of Cerberus Extreme wraps but didn't use them with me). To ensure no issues I was using a set of thin collars and hammered them tight. The only issues was worrying about the bar bending and it was harder to unrack than squat. I nearly went to 380kg/836lbs but called it a day. Little bit dizzy after.

Leg Press
Decided to forgo this

Lying Leg Curls
to 16p x 5 reps

Leg Extensions
to stack x 12 reps

Bwt: 320lbs

I love the black and white photos you take, it just makes it look that much more badass and iconic with the heavy lifts you preform!

@Mobster 814lbs thats like a car damn bro you hardcore BEAST

amazing you're getting this strong and you're barely using any gear
It's a combination of factors.

I built a base.
I did that for a LONG time (I was 37 and had been training for 22 years) before using
I get as far as I can before adding in PEDs towards the end of a training cycle
I train specifically for strength and have done so for 29 years (c2000 or so). That in itself is decades and can easily be longer than many here.

I spend as long as I can off cycle so any PEDs (esp those that boost muscle size and strength) have a greater effect vs staying on. This also makes a little go a long way vs my need to jack up the doses

I ran out of the MK677 I'd been running for months (I thought I had some left) 2 weeks ago (reordered)
The same happened with the RAD 140 the middle of last week (I have reordered some) and... both were about 20-25mg a day
Then switched to 50mg a day of Anavar late last week (Friday)

Strong strong

Monday
It was meant to a Power Squat machine day but I changed the program just cos. Off to Powerhouse Gym with 380kg on the Hatfield Squat in mind.
Hatfield Squat
Faffed about finding the right position for the bench I squat too (might swap it for a flat bench when I'm at Powerhouse )
bar x 8 reps, 140kg/308lbs x 8 reps, 250kg/550lbs with the support belt on x 6 reps (PB), 300kg/660lbs with support belt, power belt and knee wraps on x 1 rep. Then 380kg/836lbs x 1 rep (belt etc on). Bit high.

Leg Press
No pad. 200kg/440lbs x 8 rteps, 400kg/880lbs x 8 reps (felt hard on the hamstrings but fine on next set with wraps on), 600kg/1320lbs x 8 reps

Seated Leg Curls
to stack (120kg/264lbs) + stacker plate x 12 reps

Leg Extension
faffed about a long time between sets so top weight felt hard) to stack x 12 reps

Tuesday
Pre gym steps. Took my time as per.
Seated Press
to 110kg/242lbs x 4 reps (old PB for reps was 120kg/264lbs)

Saxon Bar Work - 3x3 inch
Decided to test 1RM
to 120kg/264lbs to just below the knee. I might do holds with the heavier weights now cos I KNOW I can pick 120kg etc up
