Monday : Back / Fasting (20 hour OMAD)

At this point I am 5 weeks out. I like the progress I have made. Last week this time my high/low weight was 185/179. So down 3 lbs since last week. At this rate, if it keeps up I should be 172/167 in 5 weeks. Not sure if that will happen, but so far so good. Next Friday, I have bloodwork scheduled, I plan on doing a 36 hour fast from Thursday AM to Friday PM. Blood draw will be in the afternoon. I also wear the waist trainer after the workouts into the evening.

I have added a peptide to my mix. MOTS-C. I plan on doing MWF dosing of 2mg pre-workout. I don't know that I felt anything significant today, so we shall see. I usually do injections in the evening or afternoon. Orals I take before going to the gym. I never really do injections pre-gym. A little new to me.

MOTS-C: Increases metabolism and causes weight loss; can protect against metabolic disorders like non-alcoholic fatty liver disease; improves physical performance and running capacity; improves muscle function; increases insulin resistance; offers anti-inflammatory benefits; decreases vascular calcification; increases chances of surviving infection/sepsis.

Mots C is a peptide of 16 amino acids expressed by a mitochondrial gene. Research provides evidence that mitochondria play a key role in signaling and in energy production.

Mots C regulates metabolic functions throughout the body, including turning glucose into usable energy. Preliminary studies show evidence for improved control over blood sugar levels for those with type 2 diabetes and obesity.

Research also shows that skeletal muscle is the major target tissue of Mots C. The skeletal muscle enhances insulin sensitivity and increases glucose uptake in myocytes (muscle cells) by activating the AMPK pathway and at the same time without increasing insulin. It is fair to call Mots C an exerciseâmimetic, meaning it imitates exercise on the body. Exercise also increases muscle glucose uptake without stimulating insulin.

AMPK (AMPâactivated protein kinase), was identified in 1999 as the master switch for metabolism and the central regulator of both glucose and lipid (fat) metabolism. Since then it has been a target for therapeutic intervention against metabolic conditions such as typeâ2 diabetes.

I am doing my walking, work outs, and fasting. My physique is getting tighter, but still much work to do.

I had a friend at the gym ask me "Are you cutting?" I was like what do think? He knows I'm a bodybuilder. I'm wearing a tank, body is shaven and tanned. I hate when newbs ask a silly question like that. The better question is when is the show.

Weight is dropping. Great workout today. Reta is working. No BM yet today, I know Reta slows gastric emptying, it feels like this occurs however you are not bloated or uncomfortable. Usually before squatting I like to empty out, but with this Reta it just does not come. As I look at my physique I feel like I still have more fat to lose around the waist/belly/glutes. I'm going to change my target to 170 for now.

Dropping Test from 400 to 300 this week. Will drop EQ to 150 to finish it off. Will continue the Reta. Thinking I will add MOTS-C this week MWF, 2mg.

I'm getting loose skin. Here's how it looks:

No fasting today. Good leg work out. Got caught in some catch up conversations so ended up rushing thru leg machines. Would like to have focused some more sets there. Making good progress. Preloaded a MOTS-C syringe for the AM. I like to take my pills and go. Don't want to be drawing or mixing.

Brought groceries today. Kind of interesting shopping on Reta. I know not to buy things especially headed into a show, but it is still in effect.
No desire for protein bars and such. Just the things I need. My current reta vial should finish tomorrow. So, a new vial on Sunday. I am wondering if the peptide gets weaker near the end dosage due to breakdown?

I do sometimes feel a craving to eat something, but I don't. I'm just wondering if it is losing some effectiveness. So far it is good.

Keep grinding and grinding hard. You're dropping weight and dropping fat, make sure you stay on the fasting path.

The peptides might not be weaker, but when you mixed the BAC water its possible some parts you go more some parts of injection you got less. @PrinceDaddy

Thunderstorms and rain in the area so not much walking today. Finished my vial of Reta today. So will bust out a new vial on Sunday.
Noticed my resting heart rate has been dropping. Which is why I was wondering if my Reta was losing its effectiveness. I took my 2nd dose of MOTS-C this am. Too early to tell if it is doing anything effective, but no noticeable side effects so far. I have been sleeping very good so far, some really deep sleep. I still wake up often, but fall back into deep sleep.

I've been posing and doing ab checks, it's coming in. Here's today's ab check:

My conditioning is coming in on the legs, arms and shoulders. I feel like my shoulders and arms are getting smaller. It's just the fat goes there first before it gets to my belly and glutes. I really want to see the belly, glute, and lower back (handles) fat disappear. I don't know how much will come off. I'm sure I will have loose skin. Old guy here. I want that boner skin around the belly. Pinch it and just skin, no fat between the skin.
I can still easily pinch an inch in all those areas.

Just keep grinding...

The fasted 36 hour bloods will actually give you a better reading on the bloods because all hormones can clear system and cortisol will be down. @PrinceDaddy

I still plan on doing my normal injection and orals protocol. Just no food.

Will do my 3rd dose of MOTS-C tomorrow. Tomorrow is a OMAD fasting day. Hoping to see the weight drop continue. I have a 10mg, 20mg, 30mg vial of Reta. All different vendors from the 20mg vial I just finished. I also have Cagrlinitide 5mg. I may employ the cagrlinitide if the weight drop stalls after next week. I do have the 36 hour fast and blood work scheduled for next Thu/Fri.

Things look good, still plenty to do.

The big weight drop will be with the 36 hour fast, will help you tighten up your skin too. @PrinceDaddy

I really like how my core feels when doing core and ab work. Abs are popping, however I can still pinch an inch on the lower belly. Just have to keep grinding. New bottle of reta tomorrow. My peptide math was off. I was using 10 units on 20ml Reta vial reconstituted with 1ml bac water.
So, I was doing 4mg weekly with 2mg on Sun and 2mg on Wed. I am going keep it the same. I am also doing MOTS-C on MWF with 2mg.

Many folks at the gyms are commenting on physique changes. These are untrained eyes, I do feel like I am not quite there yet.

I am doing the 36 hour fast with blood work this week. So, Thurs AM will start the fast and end the fast on Friday evening. Will do blood work Friday afternoon. Will be an interesting week.
