Was very strong today from last week. Increased weight on Incline Press from 320 to 340. Increased bodyweight dips top set from 20 to 25 this week. Also increased reverse grip machine press from 230 to 250. Very pleased with the progress. Haven't decided if we are going to lift on Sunday since I wont be able to lift on Monday. The next time we can train again is on Thursday. Will make up mind tonight. Everyone have a great Easter weekend!!!

Squats felt like I had multiple reps left on every set. Most likely could have done sets of 8. Was much easier than last week when I did 385. Didn't want to have a stroke as my face gets beet red. Waiting on blood pressure meds in the mail so I can take the training wheels off so to speak. Slow steady gains wins the race.

Went up in weight again on my shoulder press by 20 lbs. Also increased weight on lateral raise machine by 10 lbs and Hammer curls by 20 lbs and Tricep Ext by 15 lbs. Body sure is getting pumped. Delts, chest, and traps seem to be the most obvious increase to me. Im sure my back is getting much thicker as well but I cant see it. LOL. Legs are always pumped it seems. Always tight and cramping.

Anyone have a good way of lowering blood pressure without the meds as my meds are lost in transit now. I suppose an asprin before hitting the gym is a good idea before putting a bar on my back and squatting. Any other ideas? How about those pre workout citruline and other things that increase nitric oxide and make you itch really bad. Would these help blood pressure the stuff in this photo?

@RoidRage69 I had a few clients and myself try beta alanine nothing really in terms of BP but in general NOX products like that.

have you tried going lower intensity for now bro? maybe go 30% lower and cut the bulk down
if you want straight bro to bro advice, you have an amazing thing going, sometimes time to step back bro and cut the bulk and go back to a recomp cut slowly

Took a deload day today. Did a few sets of Leg Ext, Seated Hamstring Curls, and Adduction/Abduction supersets. Also ended with 25min cardio. Will be at the gym tomorrow for cardio and then Sunday will be Chest/Tris.

No. 280 looks to be the end point by the time this is over in 7 weeks.
Thats a good stopping weight, I was gonna say if u hit 300 and mobster is 300, man that would be nuts watching both logs and lifts of strength.

My blood pressure is under control and my resting heart rate is steady at 69-70 so I am fine. I am getting my cardio in so no worries. I will be cutting in a couple months.
 
My blood pressure is completely normal.
It really is. I have not ever seen it a da get zone nor in the moderate watch zone levels neither systolic or diastolic numbers. He’s got a Fitbit.I think his BP was actually higher when we started and he was 390-300lbs. He does more cardio than me! I lack in this dept. I have low bp!! Appreciate the concern boys.

8 seconds will feel like an age
All I can say is it was a brutal workout. I knew it was going to be hell after my first set on shoulder press. I went much heavier than the standard 50% 1RM that this style of training calls for.

The way this slow 8 second reps for sets of 8 works is to pick a weight you can normally max out at 20 reps per set on a regular cadence just to give you an idea.

It is beyond brutal. I ended up dropping my weights down to about 70% of what I normally train with for 8-10 reps today. Pecs were cramping hard on me after the first set. Ended up doing 3 sets. I think with most people 1 set like this is enough, but I am not most people. LOL.

Taking Taurine just to make sure I can push through the workout without too much pain. Will be taking 2 days off for cardio and then back on Thursday. Today also marks the last shot of IGF for a couple weeks before going back on for another 4 week stint to close out my bulk. Lets all get huge together bros and sisters!!!

I challenge everyone who is feeling like they are stalling in strength and growth to lower the weight and find a weight you can max out at 8 reps at with 8 sec reps. Do it for every exercise that day. You will understand what I am talking about. 4 sec postive 4 sec negative. You have to breath multiple times on way up and way down to do it properly.

Another brutal slow rep day. Elbow tendonitis flairing up again. Its manageble though. Just have to tough it out and push through it. Will be going for 500 grams carbs and 300 grams protein. Eating plenty of oatmeal and whey protein powder as well as white rice. Will be making another daily batch of high protein ice cream tonight. Ok everyone have a nice strong finish to the week. Lift big and get bigger!!!
