Hi all,

I've had lowish T for around 5 years but recently was prescribed TRT. Now that I've found Evo and have reliable sources I've decided to do my first ever cycle.

History

Been training regularly for close to 20 years. Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at me.

I started off as a 'been pole' - 6'3" and only 65-70kg (140-150lb).

Made decent gains in the first few years and in a few other periods but struggled with injuries at times.

Prior to TRT I don't think I made any gains in the last 5 years despite consistent training and good diet.

Since TRT I have been making steady gains.

TRT started at 130mg/week. A month ago I got bloods and was just above the range for both T and free T. E2 was very high (about 350 with a range of <160. No sides as far as I could tell. Because of this I dropped to 100mg/week. Am getting bloods on Monday.

Currently at 97kg (213lb). Body fat estimate is around 20% maybe.

Diet

I generally eat the same breakfast and lunch everyday and then just a different dinner (cook for family).

Breakfast: (70P, 115C, 30F)
300g cooked white rice
60g protein powder
75g mixed berries
25g mixed nuts
8g cranberries
15g sultanas
2 x eggs
5 x fish oil

Lunch: (78P, 75C, 45F)
200g cooked white rice
250g (raw weight) meat (leftover from dinner)
Mixed veggies
Nut bar
2 x eggs
5 x fish oil

Dinner:
Varies
Typical breakdown: 65P, 35C, 50F
Example from last night:
250g rump steak
Lentils
Salad with kale, tomatoes, olives and avocado

Total (example from recently):
Calories: 3000
210P, 240C, 120F

I LOVE seeing you adding probiotics and digestive enzymes, how about organ liver support like n2guard?

I would go full on 500mgs/week but start with going to sports TRT 300mgs/week and move up 100mgs every time.

As I mentioned above, unfortunately my physique doesn't reflect how long I've been training.

I started off very skinny. I've gained 25kg of scale weight (waist went from a small 32 to a large 34). Still doesn't look like much though.

Yes will drop fat and up protein.
Will see if I can get N2guard in Aus. In the meantime I ordered a liver support from a local sup company.
Will continue to post all workouts.
Cardio is currently 10 min before and after training (4 days), 20 min X 2days and 40 min X 1 day.
Currently have 2 eggs with breakfast and 2 with lunch.
That tortilla was a crappy wheat one 😒.

You’re going to put on real muscle with your cycle and if you lean out some you’ll have a much much more ‘internet comparable’ physique. Your food looks fantastic, you’ve already been training but now you’re going to be cooking with gas! This is going to be a good log!

Great start to the log bro! Welcome to the EVO fam. You've come to the right place to get dialed in. Sorry to hear about the high e2. That's crazy considering how low your dose is. Hopefully the new bloods show a different result and that was a one off. If not you'll need to focus on compounds with low estrogenic sides and maybe some GH to feed off all that estrogen you got.

Will see what the test in two days time says. I did actually take 0.25mg adex two days ago as I got paranoid about feeling sensitive nipples.

I was wondering about adding primo to (a lower amount) of test for the cycle but it seems all the suppliers are out in Aus.

All that means is when you post your progress photos later on they will look that much better!

Think your over estimating your body fat. Doesn't seem that bad to be honest with you. You'll respond great once you get your TRT dialed in. The main thing is figuring out if that e2 was just an off day or something else.

Either way tho I'm sure the more seasoned members here can figure a work around for you.

Ya primo is all out around the world. Sux cuz it's the best AI compound for sure.

Some people get Ai effects from mast, but that's hit and miss. EQ is a good substitute for primo and I know the Aussie guys love EQ.

Arimidex is good, but Aromasin would be better if you can get it. You don't want to have to run an AI with your TRT dose though cuz it's not safe long term. You'll have to figure out a test dose that keeps your e2 in range then go from there

Yeah I jumped the gun and bought the Armidex based of the stuff I read 10 years ago. Seemed more common to run it with TRT back then. And then when I read newer stuff I saw that the preference now seems to be Aromasin. I can get that, just a shame to waste the $80 of Armidex.

Yes it's too early. You should be waiting 6 weeks before doing the blood work everytime you adjust your dose. Your e2 was probably lower at 100mg.

From what I understand there's nothing wrong with arimidex, you just need to be much more careful with your dosing because of the way it works. It's a lot easier to totally crush your e2 accidentally with arimidex.

Blood test results from before TRT. Note that before the test I had some bad sleep and it seems to have dropped the T and free T lower than normal. They would usually be around 10-12 total T and 250 free T.

This is before TRT? very low, did you have low energy with this?
 
Low energy, very low libido, brain fog and very little to no gains in the gym.

It seems to have fixed all of that except the brain fog. Although I'm wondering if that could be due to the elevated E.
Brain fog could be e2 or could be your overall issue with diet training, as we dive deeper into this log and you update us more we can tell more. :D thats the key here is frequent updates. @waggat

Ok. Thanks for your help.

I will get bloods Monday morning (for my TRT clinic) then take my first cycle dose after that. Plan is to start AI then. But also took one dose of 0.25mg 2 days ago. Not sure if a single dose is noticeable?

Do you think Test only cycle is ok given how the TRT seems to have spiked my E? What would be a good starting dose and frequency for the Armidex?

Not a bad workout. Progress on some exercises but not others. Wasn't the best nights sleep so I'm putting it down to that.
 
Low energy, very low libido, brain fog and very little to no gains in the gym.

It seems to have fixed all of that except the brain fog. Although I'm wondering if that could be due to the elevated E.
I noticed there's no creatine or fish oil in your supplement stack @waggat

Is that still the case?

Both are shown to improve brain function, amongst so many other improvements.

Creatine you'll want to start at 5g and see how your stomach feels. That for a week or so then start bumping it up til find how much you can tolerate. Running 10g will help you get to saturation sooner. I saw something recently suggesting up to 15g day might warranted.

Let's wait and see if it sorts out with the e2. The creatine should help once it reaches saturation.

You might want to start looking into nootropics. There's some pretty good supplements out there and some specifically targets at brain fog.

It's been a while since I've used nootropics so I'm a bit rusty. I was dealing with some brain fog issues like 10 years ago, so my info probably wouldn't even be relevant at this point anyway.

Ya primo is all out around the world. Sux cuz it's the best AI compound for sure.

Some people get Ai effects from mast, but that's hit and miss. EQ is a good substitute for primo and I know the Aussie guys love EQ.

Arimidex is good, but Aromasin would be better if you can get it. You don't want to have to run an AI with your TRT dose though cuz it's not safe long term. You'll have to figure out a test dose that keeps your e2 in range then go from there

History

Been training regularly for close to 20 years. Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at me.

I started off as a 'been pole' - 6'3" and only 65-70kg (140-150lb).

Made decent gains in the first few years and in a few other periods but struggled with injuries at times.

Prior to TRT I don't think I made any gains in the last 5 years despite consistent training and good diet.

Since TRT I have been making steady gains.

TRT started at 130mg/week. A month ago I got bloods and was just above the range for both T and free T. E2 was very high (about 350 with a range of <160. No sides as far as I could tell. Because of this I dropped to 100mg/week. Am getting bloods on Monday.

Currently at 97kg (213lb). Body fat estimate is around 20% maybe.

Diet

I generally eat the same breakfast and lunch everyday and then just a different dinner (cook for family).

Breakfast: (70P, 115C, 30F)
300g cooked white rice
60g protein powder
75g mixed berries
25g mixed nuts
8g cranberries
15g sultanas
2 x eggs
5 x fish oil

Lunch: (78P, 75C, 45F)
200g cooked white rice

This, 2 eggs and a nut bar is my standard lunch (meat varies - normally leftover from dinner). This steak wasn't the best unfortunately.

Recently switched to doing hamstrings first.

These felt heavy but then I realised I did a few more reps on each set than last time.

Dropped the weight on these and increased the reps. Felt much better.

Yeah that’s pretty high, huh? I haven’t seen a whole lot of bloodwork but I’m sure that’s the highest aromatization I’ve seen. I use aromasin when I need it. I can’t even tell I take it, but it took my e2 from 90s to 30s. No more bacne. I was taking 210mg/ week test e and microdosing hcg. If you can only take 80mg or something for trt and then use ai for short mini cycles, that might work good. Or maybe low dose trt and a non aromatizing anabolic. Maybe EQ.

I will get bloods Monday morning (for my TRT clinic) then take my first cycle dose after that. Plan is to start AI then. But also took one dose of 0.25mg 2 days ago. Not sure if a single dose is noticeable?

Do you think Test only cycle is ok given how the TRT seems to have spiked my E? What would be a good starting dose and frequency for the Armidex?
I think a cycle is ok as long as you go with aromasin 12.5mgs EOD fro the first 2 weeks and we retest 3 weeks into the cycle. @waggat

Hey mate, following this cycle (starts tomorrow) I'll have to work out what I can do. I'd like to be able to run 200mg/week as a TRT+ or sport TRT but that's not looking good based on my E levels on 130mg/week.
Because of your high e2 you might be better off running low test and a DHT derivative like primo, mast, or EQ. You could still probably up your test from 130mg cuz the other compounds work like an AI to some extent.

Weren't you gonna get new bloodwork before you started a cycle? Or am I confusing you with someone else.

Yep blood test tomorrow morning and start after that.

I just mean in the future between cycles.
 
Like your first blood test was a little early. You had endogenous and exogenous test in your body at the same time. If I read your log correctly. Because your e2 is very high for your dose, but so is your total t. Maybe I’m way off. What do you think?
First test was 8 weeks after starting TRT. LH and FSH shows natural production was fully shut down. Maybe I'm a hyper-responder (but also a hyper-aromatiser unfortunately).

The promising thing was that my second test (only 3 weeks after dropping from 130 to 100) showed a decent improvement in E (360 to 260).

I've had lowish T for around 5 years but recently was prescribed TRT. Now that I've found Evo and have reliable sources I've decided to do my first ever cycle.

History

Been training regularly for close to 20 years. Unfortunately you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at me.

I started off as a 'been pole' - 6'3" and only 65-70kg (140-150lb).

Made decent gains in the first few years and in a few other periods but struggled with injuries at times.

Prior to TRT I don't think I made any gains in the last 5 years despite consistent training and good diet.

Since TRT I have been making steady gains.

TRT started at 130mg/week. A month ago I got bloods and was just above the range for both T and free T. E2 was very high (about 350 with a range of <160. No sides as far as I could tell. Because of this I dropped to 100mg/week. Am getting bloods on Monday.

Currently at 97kg (213lb). Body fat estimate is around 20% maybe.

Diet

I generally eat the same breakfast and lunch everyday and then just a different dinner (cook for family).

Breakfast: (70P, 115C, 30F)
300g cooked white rice
60g protein powder
75g mixed berries
25g mixed nuts
8g cranberries
15g sultanas
2 x eggs
5 x fish oil

Lunch: (78P, 75C, 45F)
200g cooked white rice
250g (raw weight) meat (leftover from dinner)
Mixed veggies
Nut bar
2 x eggs
5 x fish oil

Dinner:
Varies
Typical breakdown: 65P, 35C, 50F
Example from last night:
250g rump steak
Lentils
Salad with kale, tomatoes, olives and avocado

Total (example from recently):
Calories: 3000
210P, 240C, 120F

Anyway...... First dose for the cycle was taken yesterday after this blood test. I also took 0.25mg Armidex.

Ya the adex is definitely skewing your number. Woulda been good to get a true number for where you're at on 100mg at 6 weeks.

Once your cycle is over you'll have some figuring to do to sort out a safe TRT dose you can run without an ai

I like the training and pre post cardio is perfect not just not bad! :D shoulder rehab you need a foam roller.

It will get much easier to gauge as time goes on. Took me about a week to find my bearings at 400g protein. After that I was consistently going over
