My Information:

Name: TahiBolo
Age: 34
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 113 kg
Training experience: several years lifting and conditioning

About Me:

I’ve been lurking on Evolutionary for about 3–4 months now, mainly in the New Zealand section. My long-term priority is health and being a role model for my kids. I had issues with alcohol and drugs in my younger years and have a history of depression and ADHD, so discipline and consistency are important to me.

I’m also someone who has dealt with low testosterone for years. I lost a testicle when I was younger and lived with low levels for a long time before finally acting on it. I didn’t start TRT for physical reasons; I did it for the mental side, and it has helped me immensely.

I like experimenting with supplements and structures to push motivation, mental drive, and performance. I’m a stay-at-home dad and most of my spare time goes into training, conditioning, and working on my project www.injectbuddy.com.

I still play touch and soccer in the summer and rugby in the winter, so staying fit and active is a major goal. I naturally carry most of my weight around my hips and lower back, and it is the last place to strip down. My focus is performance and strength—not aesthetics.

I would also like to be held accountable. I have been known to fall off the edge of the world with my discipline after a while, so I’m looking forward to sharing my journey and sticking with it this time.

Current Goals:

Short term: cut weight while maintaining strength and conditioning
Long term: cut into the 92–105 kg range, depending on conditioning and health markers
Primary focus: strength, cardiovascular health, discipline and performance

Training:

4 days per week, strength + hypertrophy
Conditioning weekly (Zone 2 + VO2)

I don’t train stupid. I mix stimulus and angles. Some sessions are heavy and low rep, some are lighter and high rep. A mate who used to bodybuild told me building muscle is like sex: you hit it from different angles. That’s close to how I train.

Current strength benchmarks (1RM):
Deadlift: 180 kg
Squat: 120 kg
Bench: 110 kg

Slowly improving these while cutting.

Diet:

Daily calories: approx. 500 kcal deficit
High protein, low carb, 2 meals per day
Breakfast is usually cereal or eggs
Psyllium husk added for digestion, no GI issues even after 10 weeks on Tirzepatide

Supplementation:

Daily:

  • Magnesium
  • Centrum for Men
  • L-Tyrosine 500 mg
  • P-5-P 50 mg
  • Rhodiola 500 mg
  • Vitamin D3 + K2
  • Ginkgo 9000+
  • Hawthorn 2000
  • B-Complex

Purpose: cardiovascular support, mental performance, recovery, and general health

Hormone / PED Use:

Testosterone Enanthate: 300 mg per week (EOD injections)
No other compounds currently
10-week Tirzepatide run completed previously with good results

Cycle Status:

Running Test E only at 300 mg/week
No additional PEDs until bloodwork and progress justify it

Bloodwork:

Blood test scheduled tomorrow to check markers and adjust if needed

Training Focus:

Strength progression
Conditioning and performance
Staying active and competitive year-round
Daily discipline and drive

Additional Notes:

This is lifestyle-based training and nutrition, not a temporary phase.
I’m excited to log progress here and stay consistent. I will update with blood markers, strength numbers, conditioning progress, weight changes, and adjustments along the way.

big thanks to @LevButlerov @vanlife_gymbum @Life-Forge for the advice so far!

Hello from across the pond brother! My missus is a Kiwi. We got a kick out of your username. We'll do NZ in a camper for our honeymoon.

I can tell by reading this bro you've put a lot of thought into the plan and appreciate the conservative approach to cycle design while still in the fat-loss phase.

Do you have any blood work to share? Would love to see a breakdown on your nutrition as well!

@LevButlerov

Good to hear you opened up because I've had issues with alcohol before, it is a big thing and it takes a lot to actually change and stay on the clean side.

Do you want to run a GLP-1 again? Would be good to get the BF even lower.

fuck yes i do, i actually started getting really nauseous with tirz so kinda tappered off for a bit, then the guys at @Life-Forge suggested i pin in my thigh, which ima say right now i wish i had done it from the start.

but shit yeah bro i want the goated profile picture like the rest of you guys.

Agree, Reta would be a great addition here, you have structured this well and have a solid plan, I admire your reasons for doing so.

But running a cut with Reta and test your health markers will be better and youll drop body fat and hold your muscle
yeah bro thats the plan ive got one more week of tirz and then onto reta for 20 weeks id say.

Hey welcome to Evo bro! Awesome you're going to log. I'm a big fan of the testosterone + GLP-1 combo, I think more people should do it as a weightloss phase and to get accustomed to testosterone before they do more complex cycles. I made a mistake adding orals too soon and I couldn't tell what was responsible for what symptom.

Lots of people aren't suitable but you and I have to use external testosterone for medical reasons anyway, and that affords as certain luxuries like not worrying about suppression and PCT.

I did this for 8 weeks in my first log, 300mg for the first month and 400mg the second, 2mg retatrutide the whole 8 weeks then increased it to 2.5mg for my current log/cycle which I'm currently on week 5. I posted pics from week 1, 7 and 10 in my latest log entry two days ago if you want to see how that went.

Looking forward to following your progress bro, your plan is solid and will definitely work.

Short term: cut weight while maintaining strength and conditioning
Long term: cut into the 92–105 kg range, depending on conditioning and health markers
Primary focus: strength, cardiovascular health, discipline and performance

Training:

4 days per week, strength + hypertrophy
Conditioning weekly (Zone 2 + VO2)

I don’t train stupid. I mix stimulus and angles. Some sessions are heavy and low rep, some are lighter and high rep. A mate who used to bodybuild told me building muscle is like sex: you hit it from different angles. That’s close to how I train.

Current strength benchmarks (1RM):
Deadlift: 180 kg
Squat: 120 kg
Bench: 110 kg

Slowly improving these while cutting.

Diet:

Daily calories: approx. 500 kcal deficit
High protein, low carb, 2 meals per day
Breakfast is usually cereal or eggs
Psyllium husk added for digestion, no GI issues even after 10 weeks on Tirzepatide

Supplementation:

Daily:

  • Magnesium
  • Centrum for Men
  • L-Tyrosine 500 mg
  • P-5-P 50 mg
  • Rhodiola 500 mg
  • Vitamin D3 + K2
  • Ginkgo 9000+
  • Hawthorn 2000
  • B-Complex

Purpose: cardiovascular support, mental performance, recovery, and general health

Hormone / PED Use:

Testosterone Enanthate: 300 mg per week (EOD injections)
No other compounds currently
10-week Tirzepatide run completed previously with good results

Cycle Status:

Running Test E only at 300 mg/week
No additional PEDs until bloodwork and progress justify it

Bloodwork:

Blood test scheduled tomorrow to check markers and adjust if needed

Training Focus:

Strength progression
Conditioning and performance
Staying active and competitive year-round
Daily discipline and drive

Additional Notes:

This is lifestyle-based training and nutrition, not a temporary phase.
I’m excited to log progress here and stay consistent. I will update with blood markers, strength numbers, conditioning progress, weight changes, and adjustments along the way.

big thanks to @LevButlerov @vanlife_gymbum @Life-Forge for the advice so far!
Good start to a log bro and welcome to EVO!

and I’ll take a look at this closer once home but for starters and to help us with drug interactions and supplement suggestions can you speak to any Rx medication you’re on for ADHD and depression.

Happy to see you motivated and determined to make this a full lifestyle change it will entirely change the depression issues it’s been proven in studies and mentioned on EVO podcasts many times as well.

Great work bro!

Another testament to TRT + Exercise/Diet > Big Pharma

yeah its honestly wild the start of my journey began about 5 years ago heavily depressed Drinking etc. unhappy had recently quit my job (I was in a high paying job and was motivated as fuck then all of a sudden I got hit with the black dog) I had noticed that my mates I started training with were exploding with muscle and I was the same, I went to the doctor and asked to get a blood test for my hormones and I was flat out told I had depression and no need for the blood test, I took these little pills for 4 years before I got off them, they worked made me happy I guess but still no motivation/drive/purpose still not getting progress at the gym, playing sports would take me 3-4 days to recover, sex life was non-existent/wife thinking I didn't find her attractive (She's gawjus)

fucks me off that doctors jump to that, one day ill be a Politician and advocate for people like myself.

25%-27% thereabouts.

cheers bro i didnt want to guess and be humbled HA HA

This lifestyle will replace any anti depressant or medication no doubt - so many brothers here have the same sort of story with drinking, drugs, medications. This is best cure.
I dont care what the medical community says - I will forever continue to take my health in my own hands. order my own tests, source my own meds and use diet, lifestyle and supplements to make sure I never need them for as long as possible.

Your body fat is probably up to like 30% brother - but thats completely fine, it will literally fall off you with your plan and consistency, I can see your driven and motivated.

I was flat out told I had depression and no need for the blood test, I took these little pills for 4 years before I got off them, they worked made me happy I guess but still no motivation/drive/purpose still not getting progress at the gym,

That's fucking terrible man. I asked for the medication myself (methadone) but that's what took my drive too. It pushed my low testosterone over the edge but I probably shouldn't blame it exclusively because constant drinking and being fat wouldn't have helped and I was probably low anyway before adding that. I'd be pretty upset if it was from random pills they gave me to avoid a blood test.

It's criminal they can do that. They can lie to your face anout it too.

But about your gyno question nah I didn't have trouble, but now I'm taking 600mg test and 300mg equipoise and eq effects those things too so I don't think you can get much from my experience there.

Are you worried about something? Do you have Arimidex or Nolvadex or anything already?

Hi Team, Great day today.

Started logging my meals, as expected has made me more conscious of what I'm putting in my body trying to hit 190grams of protein a day could a be a struggle for me but ah fuck it we'll get there posting food now at 2:30pm as ill be honest im full and not sure how im going to make up the surplus of protein probably another shake later. going away for the weekend so wont be in the gym but will be plenty of walking and swimming and wont be eating crap either.

went for a 3k walk today followed by 10 minutes on the stair climber at the gym then into my weight's session, felt good today super angry and focused luckily the gym was empty because there was a good 60 minutes of grunting took a snap in the mirror shirt on ofc.

work out started with this (body being warm from walking and stairmaster just did some band work and stretching.)
i love body weight stuff as ive always been a fat boy who cant do them so any chance i do press ups/dips/chin ups
also recovering from a hamstring tear so legs have been quiet for a while just easing back into them today

Squat
90kg for 12/12/10 getting nice and low with a pause and then exploding up (doing the power moves to help with Rugby)
Bench Press + Cable Row pull downs/chin ups(Before each row i do 1 chin up) superset
Bench 60kg x 15 80kg x 12 80kg x 8
pull downs 53kg x 15 71kg x 10 83kg x 8
Deadlift + tricep rope pull down
deadlift 100kgs x 10 130kgs x 8 130kgs x 8
Pull down - 23kgs x 8 x 3

Incline Dumbell press + Face pulls
dumbell press 27 x 10 , 31 x 8 , 31 x 6 (starting to really fatigue my press here)
Face pulls 23kg x 8 x 3

Barbell Preacher Curls + Push ups & Dips to failure
27kgs x 8 x 3 (only bicep work but really fatigued already)
Dips could only manage 2 at a time before failing and push ups was 15 / 7 / 3

Gday lads sorry for the fall off! i was waiting on labs that honestly felt for an eternity to get here. the food log

i am currently Pinning 42mg every day in the morning of Test E (250mg/ml) and once a week pinning 1.5mg of Reta (i have been told every day is overboard but personally i have found i need to consistently or i forget and don't do it

since the last log i have been training every 2 days in the gym doing full body hitting every group my recovery is mint at the moment, and also playing sport twice a week which has been quite intensive as we are in summer atm. i am tracking my steps now and aiming to hit 10k+ everyday i am averaging this currently, someday's less and someday's when i play sport way more. i am struggling majorly with hitting protein goals and need to put more effort into this area

i had a great chat with a GP here in NZ and was fully transparent with him, in the hopes of him referring me for a blood test. i was fully expecting to get the lecture about hormone abuse blah blah. but he just raised an eye brow at me and said okay smart. then we proceeded to talk about how GP's are becoming more educated in this area, and he has supported body builders in there journey as he would rather they be upfront and get clinical T then UGL, anyway great chat with him he wasn't my proper GP and was only a locum but i will be transferring to him.

anyway here is the results from my bloods.

with labs and how i feel, i was interested in E2 i dont have water bloating/no sore nipples etc, i did notice i have been a little bit more emotional e.g. watch a kids movie with the kids and im wiping the odd tear away.
sleep has been shit not sure if its related to hormones or not but i fall asleep fine perfect within minutes when i want to, but i wake up 3am wired and ready to go and cant sleep.

should i be looking at a small amount of AI?

going gym today will take an update picture, also i will try to update this daily even with a how i'm feeling diary entry just to maintain the habit. also thanks to @LevButlerov for keeping me accountable.
@TahiBolo sleep is extremely crucial, so it's important that you get that resolved. If you can't sleep, you can't recover. It will only end up leading to more injuries.

That's really good that you're being transparent with your doctor. It can end up saving your life being like that. Too many people try to hide stuff from their doctor, it's very weird. @TahiBolo

i wonder if there was issues with the original T i was using i have noticed a difference since started using @AuStarLabs i will rerun labs in 6 weeks.
Bros gear quality is very important.Seen a lot of bad gear over the years. @TahiBolo you definitely don't want to mess around with shit gear.

Test E pinnacle performance 250mg/ml every mid morning this stuff is from Austarlabs, i have been using the new vial for id say 3-4 weeks now before that was Test E from Life-Forge, i am pinning in my thigh.
@TahiBolo make sure you rotate. Don't just pin in your thigh all the time. You've got to find three or four muscles that you really like injecting in. So you rotate it. You'll end up with abscesses if you do not.

Nice update mate. Congrats on the progress so far.

Good that you found a GP that seems ok.

no sorry mate it would be impossible to know as i switched before the blood test, so same dosages of each test vial but different brands bit of learnings for me to take away there.
I'd like to see you retest with @AuStarLabs only can you do that 3 weeks in? @TahiBolo

After a while pining becomes second nature and you don't forget you tend to run through everything your doing each week and have set days you do things on, After working into a routine it becomes easier.
