Weekly check-in

Hi team! Have had a great start to the week, which has flowed through to hump day pump day ;).
I have really been focusing on my health and nutrition to continue fueling my body's needs/demands surrounding training and recovery. It's like a light bulb has gone off for me, and it is all becoming quite natural and easier to manage. Something that has never come quite naturally to me. I have to thank @roguepineapple for being patient with me and continuously supporting me on my fitness journey . It makes it so much easier when you have a partner who is on the same fitness journey as you, as it naturally flows into all aspects of your family life.

Ill be the dissenting voice of reason regarding the MacDonalds.

Food standards in Australia are very different to those in the USA. Im not suggesting our MacDonalds is better or not, but its noteworthy, as our beef has stricter farming, hormone and feed laws.

I dont think that the occasional fast food meal is that "bad", so long as you hit whatever caloric goals you have an have no issues with digestion. A calorie is a calorie, and unless you are a professional athlete or a competitor, its just not that serious.

Addtionally, these fast food places often have their nutritional information easily accessible. So you can accurately account for the calories, instead of guessing with a local burger joint.

Its not realistic to NEVER enjoy a meal out, and for a busy mum to eat EVERY meal prepared. If you eat TOO restricted and never enjoy a treat, its all you're going to want to eat.

I appreciate you boys are trying to help, which is good, but i say eat that burger girl!

I appreciate you boys are trying to help, which is good, but i say eat that burger girl!
you are right. the standards are much different in australia.

A calorie is a calorie, and unless you are a professional athlete or a competitor, its just not that serious.

sounds a bit like IIFYM to me.
the issue of course is the effects within the body. you should go on the podcast and talk about this and give your point of view would love to see a different perspective/opinion on nutrition

I wasn't aware that the fast food places are so transparent with what they put in their food.

Sister, we want you fueling your body to the best of your ability. My wife makes me the best burger; she makes it Japanese style.

I have to thank @roguepineapple for being patient with me and continuously supporting me on my fitness journey . It makes it so much easier when you have a partner who is on the same fitness journey as you, as it naturally flows into all aspects of your family life.

  1. Continue training intensity
  2. Hit my daily macros
  3. Work on reducing gut inflammation and improving gut health
Thank you for stopping by.
@RogueCherry those Reta pins make it so much easier to use than haveing to reconstitute. That’s the way to go.

It’s all in context 🙂. If you are starving to death, processed food is a lifesaver. But if you have stomach and metabolic issues, nope.

I’m siding with the constructive criticism here. These same fellas came on my first log and said the same things. And I did dial in, and I didn’t post a whole lot of progress pics, but the ones in there are pretty drastic I think. I gained like one pound in that whole log and at one point was shredded like I don’t even know? I was pretty ripped, and I felt good. They aren’t wrong. Look at them

Weekly Check-in [10.03.26]
Happy Tuesday! Had a fantastic end to last week, filled with some good training days and nutrition being consistent. I haven't managed to get my steps in, as we have been dealing with a lot of wet weather events.

Small wins: Eating well and consistently on time. Positive mindset and recovery are going well. Lifts have been improving each week.
Mood: Focused on living life and enjoying my health journey (without getting too caught up in every little detail) and making positive changes over time.

  • Training consistency and increasing lifts where possible

Issues
I am taking a break from HgH at the moment as I have been getting back acne (which can be an issue for some females). I have taken last week off, and my skin has already started improving. I have also been treating my acne with hyaluronic acid wipes and tretinoin cream, and I am seeing a great improvement already. (Thank you @CladHQ for the supply)

Great update @RogueCherry . Got to try and enjoy the journey and just go with it. Some days will great, some will be bumpy, just focus on the overall destination....not every little thing. You are already doing fantastically by starting again when many would have stopped because it was all too hard. 🩵

good to see you update sister thank you :D @RogueCherry are you able to do more cardio in the gym pre post training for the steps?

the acne shouldn't be from HGH, but after taking a week off your acne is fine? how much was your peak HGH dose?

I checked your food I think in your case digestion plays a big role, I would cut the Vietnamese coffee out thats with condensed milk right? and I would switch oats to rolled or steel cut to start.

how much probiotics digestive enzymes psyllium husk you taking ED?

Does anyone know how to minimize or stop the acne situation @RogueCherry started to have with HGH? Or is it just part of the side effects of taking HGH?
I believe its digestive issues not just hgh

Training is progressing so nicely! Really killing it with this update!

I think you’re on the right path with the tretinoin & hyaluronic acid wipes for your skin. I get spots on my back too and it’s worse when humidity is high. Honestly I think that hard training is a key cause for me due to the sweat. I spray this HOCl on my face/chest/back immediately after training (if I can’t shower right away) and it definitely helps (I keep a bottle in my gym bag). And then again after showering. It’s an Amazon buy 😊

Regarding the steps, i got a little walking pad and i have a nightly routine of steps along with MAFS (@codezz knows whats up).

I dont think i spent more than $200 and its super light and goes right under the bed.

Absolutely girl, dont get hung up on the details! So many of those tiny details only account for fractions of a percent in the gym/body. Sure, if you are trying to win a contest or a gold medal, those factions matter. Busy mum? Getting to shower every day is a win!

You're smashing it! How many other mums out there are doing what you're doing? Not many (if any!)

Thank you. Yes, steps and time on the stepper have increased since last check-in. There is also an assault bike in our gym, but you know, why would I do such a silly thing :ROFLMAO:

2IU was my peak HgH dose (which I have run for close to 6-months already). I agree there is definitely some underlying imbalance going on, but I do see HgH being a contributing factor for back acne in women. Good points to consider regarding the oats :)... but the Vietnamese Iced coffee, might be a hard no hahaah:ROFLMAO:

As for probiotics and digestive enzymes.... ummmmm... next question?
Could try some KLOW to combat the acne?
Will definitely give that a go:). Is that much the same as GLOW? Which I am currently taking.

Thank you girlie . I am enjoying the energy I have in the gym again, which has actually allowed me to achieve some pb's with my lifts! I actually have little mounds on my arms now :ROFLMAO:

We honestly stopped watching MAFS 4 seasons ago 🤪 So we will have to take your word for it 😅

Friday Update [13.05.26]

A quick little recap of my week so far...
I upped my calories last week and stuck to them. Immediately I felt bloated and held extra weight around my belly and my thighs. This affected how I was feeling about myself as I felt heavy all the time.

I dropped the calories slightly (by 200cals) as I felt I wasn’t burning enough and found a happy medium. Have been sticking to them consistently this week now. Which is a pretty big deal for me and has always been a struggle when sticking to a meal plan 😅.

Training

I still feel bloated and a bit heavy but I am pushing more weight, and my effort in the gym is increasing along with training intensity.
I feel I am getting stronger and building muscle better but it is taking time getting used to carrying the extra weight.
Hydration is normally not an issues (around 3L a day), but I am most likely dehydrated with the increased activity over the past few weeks... which now prompts me to increasing my litres throughout the day (to 4L) and incorporating more fruits and fibre into my diet.

Training routines... despite having a laid out plan, I have two set days with a good routine that I smash on a Monday and Tuesday. I need to firm up the other 3 days to be more consistent in what I’m training. Baby steps and progress over time is a focus for now. I will aim to do some crossfit/fitness sessions with @roguepineapple next week at our local CrossFit BOX as a nice change of pace (I will most likely die).

Also! This week I have felt a heaviness in my lungs…the same burn after a run when you haven’t run in a long time…it’s like they are trying to clear but I’m getting that daily 🤷🏼‍♀️

Acne / Gut Issue Update

My back is starting to clear…but not fast enough for me. Have read through some amazing advice above and will definitely be considering their implementation moving forward! Thank you @Alice_In_Ironland @Dreamer @LevButlerov

Great couple of updates sister. Hope the bloated heavy feeling subsides and you feel a bit more spry soon. Crossfit workout sounds awful 😖. Makes me want to rush into the gym, play some heavy music and do single deadlifts 😅🩵

thats' a good hgh dose :D and the viet coffee its ok keep pushing it sister

PT-141 - A lover or a hater?

Heya Ladies & Gents,
Here it is... my personal experience with this little bad boy of a peptide called PT141, and it is a bad boy, let me tell you!
...Bad boy because every single time I take it, it makes me nauseous as hell!

Dose: 3mg per week split over 3 days

Firstly, let’s start with a little back story…mum of 3 and wife of @roguepineapple, works full time and all the things that make life busy. Plus decided that I can’t let @roguepineapple get fit and sexy without me ;)
Lucky enough to have a very happy and active marriage if you know what I mean… but who doesn’t want an extra bit of pizang if it is there?

So here begins the journey of jabbing myself every second day for the last two weeks…
The first jab resulted in instant nausea and a general feeling of unwellness. But no obvious signs of increased libido. How disappointing… I think I was expecting to have an instant desire to drag hubby to the bedroom and not leave for a few days.
It wasn’t until the 2nd and 3rd jab that I noticed the extra sensation in all the right areas. Heck Yes!! To the point that the seam in my jeans was hitting the right way. Shuffling at my desk and sometimes even walking… yes girl,s imagine those hamstring curls and leg raises…hmmm😝

Each time the effects of increasing sensation and tingling were better. To the point that the nausea was a small inconvenience to the results. Reaching the big O was coming on faster and stronger, making @roguepineapple feel like a king.
Things were going great until my last jab 3 days ago…Took the shot… started my day feeling a bit nauseous and then BAM! I was hugging the toilet bowl like it was an old lover.
Killing my relationship with PT-141 and all its extra little sensations and tingles 😆
I later found out that I overdosed on my shot and took 2mg in a single dose... NEVER AGAIN!

I'm back to square one with PT-141... slowly building up my confidence with it again. To be continued 🫣

MOTS-C UPDATE
Continuing the course of daily MOTS-C injections at 1mg. Love, love, love! Unlike PT-141... It's not a jerk to me and only perks me up for my workouts and the day ahead! I'll be looking to increase the dose to 2mg over the coming weeks once everything settles, as well as potentially incorporating SS31. I will look more into an appropriate Mito-stack as I am not all too familiar with it all... @CladHQ help? hahaha.
U tried the anti nausia meds from @IRONCLAD LABS ? Might help

Stomach bloat is real! Still working through digestive health issues.

Hello ☺️

I’m not sure what’s been recommended yet for your tummy (other than psyllium husk:probiotics) but @RGSX have just released a gut health range that also contains BPC which is incredible for gut health/gut repair if you’re having some ongoing issues - might be worth a look at!

Is it a feeling of bloat and discomfort alone or can you see a physical bloat in your belly too?

Great couple of updates sister. Hope the bloated heavy feeling subsides and you feel a bit more spry soon. Crossfit workout sounds awful 😖. Makes me want to rush into the gym, play some heavy music and do single deadlifts 😅🩵
Thank you

CrossFit is a love-hate... who am I kidding... It's pretty shit :ROFLMAO: , I'm not even going to pretend I like it. I'm dead before I even begin.
I just saw and responded to @roguepineapple update :D you guys are rocking it hard @RogueCherry looking good on the bike
you dropped calories you feel ok sister?
:ROFLMAO:Thank you!
Feeling good still on reduced calories. Bloating is subsiding as I am currently detoxing my gut and rebuilding its health now.
U tried the anti nausia meds from @IRONCLAD LABS ? Might help
Hey Fingers,
@CladHQ has been so kind and has sent me some to run along side the PT-141. So once I have finished my detox course, i will give them a whirl!

hey hey!
I actually researched and reached out to a few people, and have settled on a detox product (currently running a course of it for the next 30-days). I have already noticed my bloating going down (I looked like I was 4-month's pregnant :ROFLMAO:) and my acne has started clearing up! So feeling confident in the direction I am heading towards, for achieving great gut health again.
I will check out @RGSX - thank you for the rec.
BTW - love your log!!!! 🥰😘

What’s in the detox product?

Omg sounds horrid. That’s a very uncomfortable amount of bloating - and bloating is uncomfortable as is!! You’re going to feel so amazing once that’s all cleared up.

Aww thank you!! It’s nice to have more killer friends around here 🥰🥰

Hey hey! I'm a week into my Parau 60-day program. I will see how I go with everything... I'm hoping things will continue to improve as time goes by. I'm just a little hesitant about adding anything else in that may contraindicate with things at the moment. It's like I'm walking a tight rope with my gut health at the moment ... I will reach out to you, though, as I'd love to know more about your products:love:

Thursday update - 26.03.26
Spent the day doing some fasted cardio (long walks) and focusing on getting my steps back in consistently throughout the week.
Diet has remained consistent throughout the week; however, training has backed off due to some underlying fatigue. Goal for next week is definitely to get back into my gym workouts and manage my fatigue accordingly.

@roguepineapple and I spent the early morning (yesterday) after school drop-offs doing a short hike! Managed to smoke him up the trail while he bitched about it :ROFLMAO:. Mind you, I was quietly dying inside as well, but couldn't show any weakness hahahaha. It was my turn to give it back to him as he relishes rubbing it in my face when he burns me in his crossfit/circuit sessions.:ROFLMAO:

Upcoming Goals:
  • Gym sessions 3-4
  • 10k steps per day
  • Daily macros hit

Acne / Gut Issue Update
Currently on Parau's skin/acne and gut program for the next 60 days. Hopefully, things will continue to improve. Acne has already started clearing up (noticeably less skin inflammation). Still having some bloat throughout the day, but not as intense as it was. Really trying to pinpoint the triggers of the gut bloat, and it is a continuous work in progress

Sponsors of my log:
@CladHQ - Mots-C @ 1 mg per day | PT141 @ 1 mg x 3 per week (M/W/F) - PT141 will be resumed next week along with anti-nausea tabelts (when/if required). I may look to halve the original dosage and adjust accordingly.

Completely agree. Process of elimination and sticking with a program is the only way to truly test it 🙌 we hope your gut health improves, it's such an important part of our health that gets neglected over building muscle 😆

What a beautiful way to spend the day together. Couple goals!

Sis, im gonna say the harsh truth. Ditch the PT141. I experimented with it and it does NOTHING for me. It just makes me sick and gives me a red face.

If you need another medication to make it work, just dont bother. Especially with the gut issues.

@roguepineapple might be screaming NOOOOOO at reading this. He can take you out for a nice dinner, dancing and cocktails instead if he wants to get lucky :ROFLMAO:

Beautiful nature walk and it's an excellent effort you're putting toward your gut health. I think being a mother and putting this kind of effort into your health and fitness is very noble of you as far too many let that go by the wayside so great work done!

increasing my litres throughout the day (to 4L) and incorporating more fruits and fibre into my diet.
This can only help with your bloat issues. Just paying attention to this is awesome progress. Part of me wonders if it's the sourdough bread? Only way I guess is to eliminate most food and eat single whole foods and reintroduce others but as a mother of 3 that would be highly annoying I know. I'm a Dad to 4 of my own (grown) and to 3 younger stepkids so I feel your busyness and with all this work on your own self well you go girl!

Which is a pretty big deal for me and has always been a struggle when sticking to a meal plan 😅.
I see you doing it though more and more; take it one day at a time because baby steps still get you there even when you grab that little nugget of potato off your kids' plate like you mentioned happens sometimes :p

100% Collagen Peptides to strengthen the gut lining & support clear, healthy & hydrated skin
Repairs your gut in just 7-20 days
I'm a huge believer in this part. I take 30g of collagen peptide powder per day.

I may look to halve the original dosage and adjust accordingly.
I'm doing a research thread on MOTS-c ... see below ...

I'll be looking to increase the dose to 2mg over the coming weeks once everything settles
Are you still at 1mg or did you end up deciding on 2mg at any point? I'm glad it's working for you you seem to be responding to it.

Good choice taking time off the gym with your fatigue issue. Can be hard to do for some people.

@CladHQ - Mots-C @ 1 mg per day | PT141 @ 1 mg x 3 per week (M/W/F) - PT141 will be resumed next week along with anti-nausea tabelts (when/if required). I may look to halve the original dosage and adjust accordingly.

@roguepineapple couldn’t have been too sad about lagging behind on your hike 😍😍

Awesome info on the Parau regime. I’ve never heard of that before!! Can’t wait to hear how it works out for you 🫶🏼🫶🏼

@roguepineapple buy your girl some
Flibanserin
100mg x 10 - $40
100mg x 20 - $60
From IRONCLAD LABS if @RogueCherry is cool 😎 with it.
Flibanserin is an antidepressant that is approved for regulating brain chemistry to boost sexual desire in women 👌 🙌

I’m going to chime in here… we are pretty active as it is in the bedroom department. Well above the average married couple hahah… I’ll let @RogueCherry chime in regarding what she enjoyed about the pt-141 side of things.

But I agree, gut issues = no further additions of meds/peps etc. until sorted.
