G’Day!

Jumping on to do my intro post and to help keep me accountable for this next phase of my transformation. New to Evo but been around on BS and ASF boards for a while.

Bit of background to begin with,

Notoriously low TRT levels naturally. Talking total T levels of 5 🤪
Took years and way too long to figure out what was going on but better late then ever. Been on TRT now for around 12 months and it’s really turned my life around! During this 12 months I’ve lost a massive 30kg and can hands down say this is the healthiest and strongest I have ever been in my life at 30 years old.

Maxed out at 123kg and for the last 2 weeks have been hovering between 89.5 and 90.5kg so think I’ve found my maintenance calories. Plan now is to really try and bulk back up to somewhere around 95kg & put on some size/recomposition.

Still carrying the tiniest amount of lower body fat that seems to be the most stubborn thing in the world to lose , but hoping it will continue to improve as we go.

400mg Test E
250mg Primo E
Originally was going to do 500 Test / 300 Primo but it meant my 3x pins a week MWF would be over a ml and wouldn’t fit into my insulin syringes. Do we think I should revert back to the higher dose and get bigger syringes / tough it out and just double pin?

Start with 40mg Var daily (split into 2 doses)

Also received some Adex to keep on hand incase of any sides sneaking in.

First half of the goodies arrived in 2 days after shipping! @DofRandD has been an absolute pleasure to communicate and deal with, very helpful with questions I’ve had and great to have a general chat with.

Training wise I’m probably a bit of an anomaly here compared to most of the guys, I do CrossFit 4-5 times per week as an average and try to squeeze in 1-2 5km runs a week to help with cardio. Planning on posting in the log 2-3 times a week with a breakdown of the workouts I’ve completed along with any extras I’ve done before/after class, and will also post up PBs / 1RM max’s as I hit them!

Hey bro welcome to Evo,

I’m going to pick apart your protocol and help you make an informed choice on what to do.

400mg test e
250mg primo e
280mg anavar (40mg a day)
Arimidex in case of E2 sides

Going from 125mg true TRT to 400mg will be a big jump. I would at 200mg test which will definitely jump test levels up to a point where you will feel a substantial difference. As you progress through the cycle every 2 weeks, add 50-100mg until you reach your desired dose.

Precautions for test
E2 may or may not present itself as issue for you, as I dont know your blood work or body, however I would recommend blood work to dictate the use of a AI. Especially if you will be running primo.
I would recommend shooting ED.. the serum concentration is more stable, where as Bi Weekly injections will cause peaks and trophs. With these peaks and trophs comes E2 peaks and trophs. Spike up test in bolus amounts, the body will create an equal reaction to spike up E2. This obviously depends on your aromatase enzyme activity. Hence why blood work is important. I would recommende start @200mg broken into 7 shots per week, if you are unable to do 7 shots, break down into 4 or EOD. I will guarantee you will reduce E2 spikes. The body likes homeostasis. Big amounts twice per week will create an unwanted reaction.

Primo - fantastic compound. Slow gainer, clean tissue gains and very anabolic in high doses. 250mg of primo anecdotally you wont see a huge change as it shines on the higher end of dosing. However primo is metabolised and creates AI like metabolites, which inhibits e2 conversion at the ER which prevents gyno, and will will inhibit the conversion of E2 from test. Allowing more free test activity. In saying this it may crush your E2 depending on your reaction. Blood work again is key, but primo at that dose will not create aesthetic look but rather act close to a AI. You may get SOME tissue gain, but will minimal. Liver enzymes may elevate but I wouldn’t be too concerned at that dose.

Anavar is fantastic as well, however I would start at 20mg a day. Pre workout or split morning and pre workout. It’s DHT so it won’t convert to e2, it will help covert t4 into t3 to drive fat loss, glucocorticoid inhibiting so you get less mineral retention and thinner skin, and will drive up sympathetic drive during workouts. Watch liver enzymes however anecdotally it has shown to have minimal effect if your diet and supplementation is on point to allow your body to function optimally.

I would recommend starting at 200mg test and 20mg anavar for now, slowly ramping up test to your tolerance without the use of a AI as they do have health implications. We need e2 for many benefits for males. I won’t get into it other wise this post will be too long. But that will be my recommendation for now

If it’s not too much hassle could you pick apart the protocol again and provide your suggestions , I should have mentioned (my bad) I did start on 125mg week when I was doing proper TRT, the last 3-4 months I’ve been running @ 250-300mg week with no side effects and blood markers all looking healthy.

So with that in mind, I’m keen to go “all in” without going too crazy and don’t mind jumping my T dose up to the next level you think I would benefit from? And also happy to increase Primo dose to wherever it needs to be.
Is there a certain 1:1, 2:1 ratio etc of Test to Primo we should be basing it on?

at the end of the day if you want to cycle learn to use 25G needles. insulin pins just won't work long term anyway

Primo is by far one of my favorite compounds i love it's benefits as AE mentioned and what it can do for you, just got to be patient with it and let it shine over time.

Still trying to finalise Test/Primo dose to run for the cycle. Have boxes of insulin pins so want to use those up. Thinking of changing from 3x weekly to EOD injections so the maths works in my favour and I can do 1x injection EOD mixed with Test & Primo.

Thinking 0.5 Test E and 0.4 Primo E, EOD
Roughly 430test weekly and 280-300primo. Let me know your thoughts!

Good week of training this week, highlight was had the opportunity to retest 1RM deadlift. Had been a while since last test, Managed to jump up a massive 20kg and hit 150kg. Also appreciate any cues you boys have to held stop the back rounding when going heavy ? Hasn’t given me any grief yet but obviously the rounding isn’t ideal.

Nutrition this week has been pretty good, didn’t get a chance to run daily logs but to give you an idea of intake,

Breakfast
- mango smoothie with 2x scoops protein to bulk up protein intake (60g)
- 2x slices raisin toast
- most important , coffee

Smoko
- assorted protein bars
- double scoop protein shake at sork
- 2x bananas

Lunch
- Cajun mince meal prep meal (lean mince, veggies, rice)
- chobani yoghurts x2

Dinner
- always keep dinner flexible and have it with the family, always some kind of meat and veg etc. have steak twice a week cooked on the pellet smoker
Treated ourselves to some take away pizza Friday night

In some ways I feel like I’m eating a lot more now I’ve transitioned out of the cut but also feel like I need to get some more in, so any recommendations or pointers would be fantastic!

Now onto @DofRandD - first week injecting his test and primo, everything seems to be going great! Test pins smoothly , some slight PIP from the primo which isn’t uncommon regardless of lab and also my first time pinning it so not too stressed. Have noticed the PIP has been less and less after each injection, first pin was definitely the worst. Rotating between delts and ventro glute at this stage. Have pinned quads a few times and may reintroduce it if required.

very in depth and detailed updates brother if yhe pip from the primo gets a bit to much ive had some lads lower the dose and increase the frequency and they have managed to mitigate all pip from the primo

Set 1: 75% 60kg

Workout:
Complete as many rounds as possible in 14 mins of:
10 Power Cleans, 70kg
15 Toes-to-bars
50 Double Unders

7 Push Press, 70% 1RM

Very deceiving workout, simple but taxing and humbling 😆 completed in 9:45

No gym due to work commitments, 5km run in the afternoon. 27:30 time.

3 Segmented Deadlifts
3 Seated Vertical Jumps
Segmented Deadlift- @ 70%+ % of 1RM Deadlift
The segment deadlift will be a 1 second pause at the knee, and a 1 second pause on the floor between reps
For the seated vertical jumps, set yourself up at parallel and perform each rep max effort.
Deadlifts completed at 100kg / 105kg / 110kg

In some ways I feel like I’m eating a lot more now I’ve transitioned out of the cut but also feel like I need to get some more in, so any recommendations or pointers would be fantastic!

Now onto @DofRandD - first week injecting his test and primo, everything seems to be going great! Test pins smoothly , some slight PIP from the primo which isn’t uncommon regardless of lab and also my first time pinning it so not too stressed. Have noticed the PIP has been less and less after each injection, first pin was definitely the worst. Rotating between delts and ventro glute at this stage. Have pinned quads a few times and may reintroduce it if required.

1RMs are absolutely useless you wanna be a strongman. In which case you didn't need to lose the fat.

Dose according to need and response.
Not because you have some idea in your head of how you should be pinning.
If you need to get 3mL barrels, get 3mL barrels.
If you need to pin ED or EOD, do that too.

But for a first cycle I wouldn't be jumping straight in at 500 anyway.
Or running primo straight off the bat.

You said you've been on TRT dosage, I'd titrate up from there, get some bloods to see how you respond, introduce primo from there.

If you get your primo right you shouldn't be needing an AI. Don't use it indiscriminately. Tanked oestradiol is as unfriendly as high oestradiol.

Both the Test E and Primo from @DofRandD is pinning smoothly! Some very very minor pip from the primo but seems to be getting better every pin I do so body has adjusted

Definitely noticed appetite starting to come back this week which is helpful with actually trying to get the food in

Back from the 2 day comp this weekend, finished up 8th place. Of mention, ended up hitting 150kg deadlift for 3 rep. Was my 1RM a week prior so clearly had some more in the tank + competition adrenaline was pumping.

Currently sitting around 92kg
Still eating well, mostly high protein
A few lollies and simple carbs over the weekend for some boosts of energy over the weekend
Back to the grind now

for sure anavar pumps are usual, you need to do 2 things get taurine dose higher, get electrolytes and get organ liver support and you'll see with anavar the pumps will clear up a bit man :)

yes make sure you keep an eye on your disc health doing anything overhead

What’s the thoughts on increasing Anavar from 40mg to 60mg daily?
Been taking 20mg in the morning and then again before gym
Thinking of changing to 20mg in morning and 40mg before gym? Been on it for 2 weeks now and not noticing any bad side effects or anything

Running alongside my Test @ 400mg week and Primo @ 300mg week.
No blood work yet but planning on doing some end of this month

Slight hiccup this week, been battling a cold for the last 4-5 days. Good news is over the worst of it, but not back to 100% yet. Still sneaking in some training where I can. No running which has actually been a nice change.

3 weeks completed on cycle now
No side effects to report on at this stage
Maybe some mild low patience/tolerance issues , mainly at work which has also been a bit busy etc lately
Planning on running this cycle from 12-16 weeks (12 weeks is the minimum goal), will do bloods approx half way through and also towards end of cycle to monitor
Hoping to finish up somewhere around 97-100kg range
Followed by another hard cut which will be assisted with Retatrutide in the new year to cut fat again, hopefully back down to the 90kg range but with a new body type / composition

Haha. Not quite, just an amateur crossfitter trying to get fit bro, it’s a great culture there and it keeps me coming back. Actually quite addictive which suits my natural addictive personality , so it’s good to channel that into something beneficial
