Advice for first Testosterone cycle Log

G'day.
Pardon my ignorance, I've done a bit of research into doing my first Test cycle but I'm unfamiliar with some of the lingo and would really value some advice, so please treat me like I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Background:
I used to be pretty fit, mostly body weight and cardio fit in my earlier twenties. I went through a period of about 4 years with no exercise due to hip pain, got three surgeries for Labral tears in my hips and began weight training to assist with physio after the surgeries. Weight training has been good for my mental health and I've more or less gotten fixed to it. Aa apart of my recovery from the last surgery I did 1 month on, 1 month off, then another 1.5 months of BPC-157 and TB500. I found it greatly assisted with inflammation for my duel shoulder tendonitis, hip bursitis (developed after the surgery) and Lumbar Spondylosis/herniated disc. I'm currently on a cycle of CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin (no DAC) previously taking a total of 200 mcg CJC + 200 mcg Ipamorelin daily and I'm bumping it up to 300 mcg a day today. I've put on 18kg of lean muscle mass in 4/5months from 70kg to 88kg (I think most of this is due to my prior fitness though). After the surgeries I've found myself very lethargic and unmotivated, I've got a few mates that have done a cycle or two of Testosterone and they rave about the mental benefits in men. I figured I might as well try it for the mental and physical benefits. I was recommended to go through Lighthouse Australia by a mate to get it legitimately- I booked an appointment with their Doctor and he said I more or less can't do it because I'm under 35 and my Free Test levels are at 385. If I were over 35 or Free Test was below 350 I could legally get prescribed Test (at least that's what he told me). He then more or less told me to source Test myself and he would monitor my bloods.

Goal:
Pardon my ignorance again, please let me know your opinions of what my goals are.
I want to do a brief cycle of just Testosterone (unsure what type is best for my needs) for maybe 3 months to begin with. I want to maybe get my Free Test up to 850 as per chat with the Doctor (unsure if that's a good goal for what I want). I mostly want to do it for the mental health benefits but obviously want to stack on muscle at the same time. I don't want to be permanently sterile (I know it's a risk but want to mitigate it as much as possible). My goal is to get to 100kg then cut from there to look more aesthetic, but looking good isn't the most important thing for me, I just want the muscles around my joints and lower back to be strong for joint stability.

What I'm looking for here:
Just want to get some friendly advice and mentorship from people that have done what I want to do. I would rather do it legitimately with a prescription through a Dr for the first time if anyone can recommend one in Australia? If not, then I'm happy to do it through a recommended and trusted source (don't want to bath tub steroids) and get a Dr to monitor bloods. Curious about Type of Testosterone you'd recommend for a quick cycle, any Post-cycle therapy (Dr I spoke to said it's not really needed for what I want, but I don't really trust Doctors based off recent experience, so your personal experience is more valued), any in-depth advice and recommendations based off experience is welcomed, again, I'm pretty ignorant to all this.

Sex- Male
Age- 29 yo
Weight- 88kg. Maybe around 20% body fat.
Diet- Not strict at the moment as I'm bulking, I try to always get between 170g and 200g of protein a day though. Maybe 50% of my protein intake is from Musashi Extreme Bulk Protein powder.

Training- Weights 4 days a week, Cardo/bodyweight 1 day a week-
Day 1: Upper Body Push- 3x 15 reps of push-ups, 3x 12 reps @ 6kg of Shoulder rotations, 3x 12 reps @ 15kg Tricep Pulldowns, 3x 12 reps @ 30kg inclined bench press, 3x 12 reps @ 5kg (per arm) Lat Shoulder Raise, 3x 12 reps @10kg (per arm) Shoulder Press, 3x 12 reps Dips, 3x 12 reps @5kg Landmine Press (with 20kg bar)
Day 2: Lower Body- 3x 12 reps @ 4kg Cable Hip Abduction, 3x 12 reps (per leg) @ 32kg (total) Step Ups, 3x 12 reps @ 70kg Barbell Glute Bridge, 3x 50m @32kg (total) Farmers Carry, 3x 12 reps @ 30kg Romanian Deadlift (low weight due to herniated disc, this is more for a stretch than anything), 3x 12reps @ 12kg Jefferson Curl (same story as RDL), 3x 12 Bulgarian Split Squat.
Day 3: Upper Body Pull- 3x 12 reps @ 50kg (total) Shrugs, 3x 12 reps @27kg Cable Face Pulls, 3x 12 reps @ 7kg (per arm) Bent Over Reverse Fly, 3x 12 reps @ 60kg Cable Row, 2x 12 reps @ 50kg Cable Lat Pulldowns, 3x 12 reps @ 10kg (per arm) Concentration Curls, 3x 12 reps @ 15kg (total) Reverse Curls.
Day 4: Lower Body- 3x 12 reps @ 20kg Cable Glute Kickbacks, 3x 12 reps @ 120kg Leg Press, 3x 12 reps @ 60kg Hip Thrust, 3x 12 reps @ 20kg Back Extensions, 3x 12 reps @80kg Calf Raise, 3x 12 reps @ 40kg Prone leg curl, 3x 12 reps Bulgarian Split Squats.
Day 5: Cardio & body weight- Run (only 1-2km atm due to chin splints but slowly getting better) 3x 20 reps Push-ups, 3x 12 reps Dips, 3x 5 Reps of Chin-ups (bodyweight is more just cause I enjoy it).

Sleep- Usually pretty average. I try to get 8 hours a night but my sleep is usually broken and comes in cycles- probably due to stress from work or physical pain. I don't have any breathing issues when I sleep. Melatonin doesn't seem to help. If I can't get to sleep I'll often take 50% THC 50% CBD oil to get me there but try to limit that as a last resort. Cycling Ashwagandha helps heaps but it's a 3 month on 1 month off cycle...
Supplements- Everything is taken in the morning: Blackmores Men's Multivitamin, Concentrated fish Omega-3 Triglycerides 1.5g, Ashwagandha dry root extract 600mg equiv. to dry root 27g (when on cycle). Musashi Extreme Bulk Protein powder 40g protein 2 or 3x daily (typically, depending on food protein intake). 300 mcg CJC + 300 mcg Ipamorelin daily with 3x injections at 100 mcg 6 hours apart.

@AussieGoose
Welcome to EVO Bro!!! Glad to have your here.
It seems like what your looking to do is raise your levels but keep them in what is considered the "normal Range"?
This would be a therapeutic dose of test or TRT dose. I would start in the 150mg/wk range and have bloodwork done after 6 weeks to see where your numbers are at. Typically TRT is a "for life" thing meaning once you come off your body may not recover to where you are now even and you may need to plan long term.
Personally if your gonna just do a cycle and then come off in 12 weeks I would go 300mg/wk for that 12 weeks. If your going to shut your natuarl test production down make it worthwhile.

G'day.

welcome to the EVO family :D @AussieGoose you have a strong base and you look good to start.
Your bloods are normal for 29, so a "mental health test cycle" is not the magic fix and a 3 month run still carries risks. I would like you to start by posting actual bloods in your log the paper (as you get it up).

do not start anything until you have a proper pre cycle training and diet log because right now we can’t see your daily calories, bodyweight trend, sleep quality, pain levels, and how your joints and back respond week to week.

Start the log now for 2 weeks with daily food, bodyweight, sleep, pain score, steps, and your main lift numbers, then the EVO family can tell you if you actually need hormones or if the real limiter is recovery, sleep, and calorie consistency. 15min to start :D

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

@AussieGoose go ahead and run the cycle for sure but I would also make sure you get in top shape and conditioning before you start it. This way you get the most out of it.

Hey mate,

I think the questions you need to ask yourself before starting anything is the following -
Do you want to run cycles or trt?

Are you planning to have children?

Are you happy to risk some health to get the physique you want?

There is a different path depending on what you want to do, but you are kind of looking for the results of cycles, with the risk of trt.

If you want to bring your T up to upper range - itll be 120-150mg a week - but this will be for life, and make you infertile.

You want to run cycles? Your results will be far more impressive, there is then the need to watch diet, recovery, training and bloods alot more intently, and it comes with inherently more risk.
But that would be running 350-500mg a week, perhaps with a second compound to control e2 - fertility still an issue, but likely can be restored

What are you looking to achieve?

Good base physique I can see you've lifted before too.

If I missed anything, made a complete fuckery of the Log format or confused you, let me know and I'll try to fix it.
It was a good start to your log and you're on the right track we just need more info and a few weeks of logging your training and diet before we start any type of cycle.

Maybe 50% of my protein intake is from Musashi Extreme Bulk Protein powder.
Is this due to budget constraints? Diet will be what we start focusing on for you the most so can we get your protein in with lean meats and mostly food?

It's great you're hear and the surgery went well. EVO will take care of your goals brother!

I think @Dreamer covered it all pretty well. Mentioned a bit about what I was going to say and then some.

But would say try not to get 50 percent of your protein intake from a shake , prioritise whole foods first,

If you go with any of the top tier approved sources you are def in great hands, I wouldn’t even bother with going through a Dr to pay a hugely inflated price. I have been on @Raptor Labs gear exclusively for 14 months, had zero issues and gear is regularly HPLC tested . Buy with confidence.

Welcome to Evo mate.

You definitely need to think about what you want and what they means in the long term.

Your T numbers are low to mid normal. You might feel a bit better on a trt dose and the might help you mentally. Firstly though, do you have low T symptoms? How is your energy, libido etc?

I think you can gain a lot just by getting you diet and training dialled in. Do you track all your food in an app? Can you show us a typical day of food?

Your training is ok but there is a few things that stand out. If you're going to do an upper / lower split, I wouldn't do push and pull for upper. That means your only hitting those muscles once per week. Also your exercise order for upper seems weird. You should be hitting the big exercises like rows, pulldowns and bench / shoulder press first.

You will be fine doing a simple cycle. I would do something a little bit different. @AussieGoose I would do some testosterone with anavar. Do the testosterone about 10 weeks and do the anavar the last six weeks of the cycle.

I think that you can improve your conditioning before you start your cycle. I think it's important to get on consistent training. Once you do that then your cycle would be much more productive. @AussieGoose

Hey everyone, thanks heaps for all the replies- you've been a big help and I'll take it all onboard.
Long-term TRT isn't really the goal just yet, I'm more thinking a 12 week cycle to get me out of this slump and gain muscle at the same time. Once I get to 100kg the plan is to cut from there and try to look good.
Just a couple of follow-up questions for anyone who has the answers:
1. Is it common to do a 12 week cycle at a high-moderate dose then recover fully (mainly fertility) with no post cycle therapy?
2. What type of Test would I use for what I want?

Yeah I feel pretty lethargic and unmotivated. Energy seems low and sleep it poor. Libido is interesting cause I have no real desire to chase women anymore but still have a sex drive- not that I use it. I previously got a full sweep of bloods done and stuff that may affect this like Vitamin D, B and Zinc were all normal. I want to do a cycle of Test to obviously gain muscle, but I think in my mind it's mostly to see if it'll help with mental health and make a decision to do TRT after testing it out.
As for training- Most of my exercises at the moment are to help with stabilising the issues in my hips, shoulders and lower back. Pretty ignorant to weight training, so chatgpt wrote up my routine with instructions based off my goals and injuries and equipment available. One thing I have noticed is even with a good warmup, if I put the heavy exercises first, I'll aggravate or throw out an injury- mostly the tendonitis in my shoulders or herniated disc in my lover back. If I throw out my lower back, it's two weeks off the gym and typically a week bed ridden.

Good base physique I can see you've lifted before too.

It was a good start to your log and you're on the right track we just need more info and a few weeks of logging your training and diet before we start any type of cycle.

Is this due to budget constraints? Diet will be what we start focusing on for you the most so can we get your protein in with lean meats and mostly food?

It's great you're hear and the surgery went well. EVO will take care of your goals brother!
Cheers man. Diet and protein intake is mostly due to poor motivation. Don't want to sound like a victim, but taking two years off work, in and out of surgery has fried my brain. Never really felt like this before but I just cant be fucked to do much besides work and gym. Shakes are just a lazy way of getting protein intake up to 170-200g a day. My food intake still isn't bad, I try to eat at least 30g of meat or animal products every meal, but I know it could be better- Something I'm working on.

Thanks heaps and appreciate any help or advice.

You may not be able to do it legit as you are in range, clinics were very strict with blood work and if anything was out of the norm you could get your prescription cancled.

Just diy it's easier

Hey everyone, thanks heaps for all the replies- you've been a big help and I'll take it all onboard.
Long-term TRT isn't really the goal just yet, I'm more thinking a 12 week cycle to get me out of this slump and gain muscle at the same time. Once I get to 100kg the plan is to cut from there and try to look good.
Just a couple of follow-up questions for anyone who has the answers:
1. Is it common to do a 12 week cycle at a high-moderate dose then recover fully (mainly fertility) with no post cycle therapy?
2. What type of Test would I use for what I want?
start a log please for full help @AussieGoose

welcome to the EVO family :D @AussieGoose you have a strong base and you look good to start.

Hey bro, I'll share my experience. I'm new to the forum, but all the amazing users here encouraged me to start a log and track my progress. After taking some time to think about it, I did, and it's been an amazing experience. I'm logging everyday, I feel accountable because I'm logging, and I get great feedback from all of these people online with experience and first hand knowledge to make what I'm doing better. Take the first step, set up the log, and give it a go, I think you'll get a lot out of it.
