Nice work giving the body a rest. I’m looking at doing something similar in my diet to you after this growth phase . Will lower carbs right down and have huge protein and good fats
Feeling better each day at present brother. The diet change seems logical for me, so hopefully it works as I believe it should. 🩵

6.5 hours. Was a bit better sleep. Still not awesome but improving.

Training
Deload week. No lifting at all this time. Starting to want to though....alot

Daily thoughts
DAY 6 of my deload. Was my WFH day so got going on stuff early today and was done earlier than expected.
Body is now feeling very good. Legs are good, knees are quiet for the moment, shoulders are both feeling better than they have for weeks and lower back is nice and loose.
Getting super twitchy now to get back into it. Went into the gym today to check a couple of things for no reason at all, changed an exercise I haven't even done yet and generally drove my wife nuts.
So nuts she even bought me a brand new lifting belt to calm me down and realistically probably shut me up.
I then watched Dorian Yates, Blood and Guts, to relax. Didn't work for some reason 🤔😅
Will insect bomb and clean up the gym on Friday and Saturday ready for Sunday.
Man, deloads are tough......

It wont really brother. This 12 weeks sets up for the following 16 week training block.
In this block I am splitting quads and posterior chain which is one of the biggest program changes I have done in years. I have to do this if I want to dramatically increase my deadlift and squat numbers.....which I do.
I am also playing with a couple of other exercises to see how they go. 12 weeks is enough time to bed things in.
After that I do my next cycle and want the training to be spot on....hopefully. 🩵

So my giving blood adventure.....
Today has started a cascade of new events that start almost immediately.
As I mentioned yesterday, today I went to give blood to lower my haematocrit and RBC levels. Unfortunately I am unable to do that as my hospital visit in September, and a couple of my still current medications, prevent this. So I found out from a very nice RN.
My RBC has risen from 5.47 to 5.72, and my HCT from 0.48 to 0.54 from December 2025's blood test to April 2026's blood test.
Since a blood donation now wouldn’t lower these, a decision was needed on whether I risk pushing to mid June on this cycle and raising these levels into the red zone.

After looking back through my log I realised I have been on Test E and Deca since mid January. Eq came later on. I then discussed with @Southern and my wife and the decision was made.

So I am going to cease this current cycle by the end of next week and deload in just under 3 weeks. It's the right decision and healthy one.

Should be a fun 3 weeks then a big program change and a health phase will run till late September.

It's not that other steroids don't raise RBC it's just that EQ is particularly effective at doing this.
Might be an idea next push phase to implement Primo or Mast in there instead of the EQ.
Doing this won't raise your RBC near as much & those two compounds also help to keep E2 in check too.

Splitting quads and posterior chain into separate sessions for the first time in years specifically to chase the deadlift and squat numbers is the structural programming decision that makes the next 16-week block a different animal brother.

DAY 8 of my deload. Everything is finally feeling close to 💯. Ready to start this 12 week block of training.
TRT started today, I am now off Deca and Eq. Dropped Reta to 1/2 dose for a week then pulling that as well. Proviron will also cease with Reta.
So just TRT and GH now for several weeks. Be fascinating to see how these go with a training block. In a couple of days we will find out I suppose

Thanks brother, deload is done now. New session just finished which I will log later. Huge cardio increase.....I walked to the gym AND back.... TWICE 😁.

**Pretty happy with this. Failed on 142.5 like I did 2 weeks ago but without any pain this time. Definitely coming soon.

DB Flat press 10x35,37.5kg 3x10x40kg
** New exercise. Went 10,9,8 for the 40kg which was ok. Shoulder and chest tie-in area is a weak point and got really tired. These are a keeper for sure.

Pullovers ezybar 15x15kg (bar not included)
**New exercise. Wasn't sure if the bar could substitute for a DB but it was actually perfect. Really felt the lack of flexibility in the stretch so these will benefit me greatly down the track.

**Good start in the progression of these. First 2 were slightly uncomfortable, 3rd was tough.

Daily thoughts
Back into it today after my deload week. It was probably the best return session I have ever done after a break.
I took my time, warmed up completely especially through my shoulders and made sure there was plenty of rest between sets.
I was able to push to the edge without pain and tightened my upper body nicely over the course of the session.
Really feeling good about this block of training and what it will bring. Bit wiser in my overall outlook to a training session and this will pay huge dividends where weaknesses and avoiding injuries are concerned.
The fails in lifts were kind of expected as I have never been able to take a week off and come back exactly where I left off. But this time was very close to that.
New back training session tomorrow, looking forward to this alot.

Diet wise, today was the biggest carb hit in a long time. Italian lunch will do that.
Tomorrow I start to further trim things a bit. I have started in places but tomorrow gets more serious. Protein will sit above 400 and I will trim carbs and fats a little to see what happens physically. An additional experiment on top of TRT.

Last day of deload. Body is feeling 💯 or as close as it ever will be and I am mentally primed for the next block of training.
I now need to ensure that the new adjustments I have set into my program work for the reasons they are now there. This will take time and I need to be patient will certain exercises especially my new posterior chain ones.

I was able to push to the edge without pain and tightened my upper body nicely over the course of the session.
Really feeling good about this block of training and what it will bring. Bit wiser in my overall outlook to a training session and this will pay huge dividends where weaknesses and avoiding injuries are concerned.
The fails in lifts were kind of expected as I have never been able to take a week off and come back exactly where I left off. But this time was very close to that.
New back training session tomorrow, looking forward to this alot.

Diet wise, today was the biggest carb hit in a long time. Italian lunch will do that.
Tomorrow I start to further trim things a bit. I have started in places but tomorrow gets more serious. Protein will sit above 400 and I will trim carbs and fats a little to see what happens physically. An additional experiment on top of TRT.

Hopefully that all changes now after yesterday's news.

It definately affected my mental health, would get up early to watch the games on Saturday morning, and by 10am my mood for the weekend was ruined 🤣
So very true. Suprised they didn't get Xabi and let Chelsea nab him if they knew they were changing managers 🩵

Daily thoughts

Last day of deload. Body is feeling 💯 or as close as it ever will be and I am mentally primed for the next block of training.
I now need to ensure that the new adjustments I have set into my program work for the reasons they are now there. This will take time and I need to be patient will certain exercises especially my new posterior chain ones.
Time to get this new phase underway.

HGH - 3iu. Once I trained and tightened things up I felt the benefits of the GH today in my joints. Lets see how things progress.

** New exercise. Went 10,9,8 for the 40kg which was ok. Shoulder and chest tie-in area is a weak point and got really tired. These are a keeper for sure.

**New exercise. Wasn't sure if the bar could substitute for a DB but it was actually perfect. Really felt the lack of flexibility in the stretch so these will benefit me greatly down the track.

**Good start in the progression of these. First 2 were slightly uncomfortable, 3rd was tough.

Daily thoughts
Back into it today after my deload week. It was probably the best return session I have ever done after a break.
I took my time, warmed up completely especially through my shoulders and made sure there was plenty of rest between sets.

First day back and almost as strong as you left is a good sign. Looking really strong in the progress shots. I'd say we have about the same shoulder mobility in our front double bis lol. Your bench form looks amazing. Solid looking arch. The powerlifting background really shows.

The 400+ protein worked awesome for me. Working my way back up there right now actually. Since you respond better to low carbs I bet you're gonna love the results too. I felt way more energized, clear headed, and looked way leaner. Some of us just don't respond well to high carbs like you said before
