Anemia

Has anyone ever heard of any AAS causing low hemoglobin (anemia) and lowered MCV, MCH, and MCHC?

I know it sounds odd since they should significantly increase hemoglobin levels. But wanted to see if someone had seen this before.
@TsaiTakamoto yes for sure possible, anything is possible really, but impossible to know if possible for YOU specifically, why?
because we know nothing about you, you're on cycle now right? I was checking your other posts seems you're on a cycle, but we know nothing about you still.

You should post a log journal and we can tell you what your issues are, you can share your diet training sleep history supps and bloods in the log and we can properly guide you as the EVO family instead of guessing, will take 15min easy and 5min to update

HOW-TO LOG?
To really guide you we need more info from you.
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
Please post a Log Journal asap for us

Please click the anabolic forum
https://www.evolutionary.org/forums/forums/anabolic-steroids-and-peds.2/
top RIGHT, you see: +POST THREAD
click that

in Title: write your cycle name, like> My _____ Cycle Log
___ = the name of your log
example: My testosterone cycle Log
in body: write your planned cycle or cycle you doing now, your diet, training and we will help you along on your cycle

here are examples of LOG Journals

i've never heard of that happening no. quite the opposite which is why i recommend donating blood as often as possible using them

It's not usual. it MIGHT suggest you're having issues

probably just a coincidence. you didn't tell us much. start a log and tell us EVERYTHING

you need to post your bloodwork over time. see what kind of changes have happened vs. what you have been taken. that would be responsible before we give advice on a log

have you discussed this with your doctor? you gave us nothing to work with. post up bloods and tell us what you are using

bro haha. i wish. my blood so thick you won't believe it

So, as above, a few thoughts

1) You may well have, happening at the same time, a medical issue. Less cause and effect and more coincidence.
2) The guys are quite correct. Many, but not all, AAS were prescribed to TREAT anemia not cause it. It is, as Stevesmi says, why many donate blood.
3) Two or three of our members ask for you to post a log. One indicator (low iron) might be caused by a really shitty diet AND using AAS. Hence the request for more info

4) Finally, as has been suggested, it might be well worth getting tested (posting them here) and or speaking to a doc. You'd also be helping other members by virtue of us learning how this can happen IF it was caused by PED use

Yes its been addressed by my doctor. He thinks it is my blood pressure meds, Olmesartan. Apparently it's a side effect that can occur after a few years of use. He had me immediately stop it, added Slow FE iron supplements but it hasn't corrected the low hemoglobin.

I asked if anyone had ever experienced it as a cause of an AAS just because it couldn't be ruled out, improbable though.

I'll post the log in thr next few days plus diet.

The first 2 are when I first was alerted to the drop, June.

And thid is Monday, 3 weeks after stopping the BP meds the doctor thinks is the cause, and almost 2 months of taking thr iron supplement. Sorry for multiple posts...didn't know how to do it another way.

These are the previous set when all numbers were fine, April I believe

What meds are you on for this? @TsaiTakamoto
AAS could be it but you know there are other factors thats why we were asking for a LOG.
I did DM you, no answer to LOGing I think thats crucial to start and you will become VIP and high status :D

I like the vibe y'all give so I'd love to contribute where I can and always love hearing advice from the voice of experience.

I do things a bit different though. I'm an old guy that's just lifting to feel good, no crazy bulking shit anymore. You'll see in the log, I train for lean muscle and the pure joy.
