HGH and sleep

Without seeing any other data, and if GH is the only variable that’s changed, it might be related to increased cortisol levels in the AM and fluctuations in blood glucose levels. Do you track fasting glucose, know what your a1c is, and are you taking anything to control blood sugar levels (if indicated)?
I’m no expert, but that’s where I’d start 😊

I always pin at night and I’ve noticed my sleep over the last week has been poor with shit deep sleep and waking up early early
Is 4iu in one hit at night to much ?

Typically once I start getting over 2iu I will split the dose either once in the AM and once after training or after training and before bed depending on what my goals are at the time.
A little more background would be helpful.

For what it’s worth oh have a feeling it definitely could be cortisol spiking earlier and ruining deep sleep
I went back to 3iu for the last 4 nights and sleep is back to normal.
I have no bloods to prove anything sorry but it definitely doesn’t feel like a placebo effect that’s for sure.

That makes sense, 4iu in one night shot can spike cortisol and adrenaline in some people which kills deep sleep and causes early waking. If 3iu restores sleep that fast it’s not placebo, either stay at 3iu or split 4iu into 2iu pre bed and 2iu earlier in the day so GH stays high without wrecking sleep. I would drop down to 2 IUs pre bed and keep it there for now tbh

You should generally see an improvement in sleep quality with an increased GH dose. @Alice_In_Ironland was asking about other variables; did anything else change? What were you doing within the hours leading up to bed?

What is your physique goal at the moment?

experiment around with the dosage and see how you react, then go from there.

Bros, that's weird. Usually, HGH makes people sleep better. I think you should lower the dose and then see what happens.

Nothing changed in the slightest in diet / sleep life ect except literally gong from 3iu to 4iu
First time ever GH run
Currently using it to supplement 125mg/week Trt
The reason for HGH was for longevity health and hold onto some youth
I’ve been doing Mining work for over 10years physical labour now with 12hr night shifts involved and I can genuinely feel the ageing process kicking into gear quicker with night shifts.
Open to Any advice on splitting the does 2iu am and 2iu pm I just don’t want to feel tired during the day that’s all ?
3iu still feel good at night but I wonder if it’s actually at the higher end of a shot before bed still

could be something else happening entirely. It's really hard to say man. It would really help if you put up a log.

I have a sneaky suspicion something else might be going on here or you're having just a really bad reaction.
 
GH is a tricky compound for me too, I get a lot of water retention from it when my dose is too high, and especially if I increase it too quick, my advice would be start low and hold there for a couple of weeks say 2iu, then titrate to 3, 4 etc, to be honest for your goals, 2 iu will still do a fair bit, it isnt a loud, noticeable compound, it works quietly in the background if done right
 
It’s good that you’re getting bloods done.
It’s all just speculation without them since there’s A LOT of factors as play.

I’m neither a coach nor a expect, but to my knowledge poor sleep, inflammation/ CNS fatigue, and high cortisol can create a bit of viscous cycle - as in they all continue to contribute to each other worsening.
Cortisol, glucagon, adrenaline, and growth hormone naturally rise at around 3-8am… the high stress (cortisol, inflammation) can trigger the liver to keep releasing more glucose… this can sometimes wake people up. Higher levels of HGH can also contribute to this.

With trt at that dose and your goals for gh. You honestly dont need more then 2-3iu anyway as a general heal an therapeutic replacement dose.
