I think some slices of steak would be perfect for that pizza
I wonder how it would taste along with the broccoli

that pizza looks sensational
keep up with the great food pictures

Made another homemade pizza. See pics.

Broccoli. Pepper. Vegan cheese. chicken, And tomato. On almond flour crust. Taste 1000% better then the fast food pizza people get and this one doesn’t fuck with my stomach at all
@stevesmi perfect combo of health and taste........

for my workout today i decided to do a FULL upper body work. mixing both push/pull into the same workout but going fast paced 2-3 sets each. it was a fun workout and i was drenched after. highly recommend doing something like this once in a while just as a fun change of pace.

one of the things I aim to do in this log is show you how to make healthy foods yourself vs. eating junk food.

example right here. going to a fast food joint and eating french fries vs. making them yourself. the french fries at fast food joint is full of refined oils, additives, cheap potatoes brought in frozen, fried.. an artery clogging food that you should never go near. MAKE YOUR OWN!!

my recipe is simple.. cut up organic potatoes. rub with some cold pressed coconut oil, salt and pepper.. put in air fryer at 400 degrees for 35-40 miinutes. as simple as that. prep takes less then 10 minutes and the air fryer does the rest of the work.. also i use the 365 organic ketchup which is free of junk.. that is important too as condiments are a killer or you should make your own ketchup

@stevesmi how hot is it there now? probably still warm down south.

I like your recipe, I have my clients doing that with sweet potato but preboiled a bit.

always hot unless we get a cold front cool it down a bit

I'm gonna try the same recipe, but I want to use sweet potatoes.

I just got an air fryer, so I'm excited to try it out.

Nice job. I can see that you rotated them.

That gives it a nice even cook.

That's a good recipe Steve and it's very simple and will last you days.

I like that recipe keep up with the great meal ideas.

Nice job on the full upper body day.

I will do something similar. I'll do 2 or 3 sets on each muscle group. And rotate.

I did the same thing with my legs.

Today, I did lower body, but I did a full lift routine.

@stevesmi healthy and amazing recipe..........

had my followup appointment finally after about 8 weeks for my back cyst after draining. they said it was healed up nicely and now time to setup the appointment to remove it with the plastic surgeon. this will require a cut and stitches then i will need to go back to have stitches removed after 2 weeks. its a long and expensive process and i've been annoyed by it all.

the scab keeps coming off and it will leak then scab up again. as long as the cyst is there it will keep draining and its disgusting and it will regrow over time once the scab hardens so might as well get rid of it. i'm supposed to have the surgery this upcoming week but still waiting to get booked so might be the week after.

as far as training, had a nice leg workout going into the weekend. racks were taken as usual so made the most of it by doing dumbbell squats, lunges, leg extensions and of course lower legs as well. did pre and post cardio.

yesterday hit hot yoga and this morning it will be more cardio, gonna do 10-15 miles on the bicycle.

did a long fast then yesterday made some soup in the slow cooker.

chicken, various potatoes, raw honey, swiss chard and spinach. ate way too much of it. today will fast for most of the day

what kind of plastic surgery will it be? just so no scars? curious.

They finally cut this damn thing out of me. After injections. Antibiotics. Draining it. Now I have stitches for 8 days. And then hopefully will be done with this shit. Hopefully no more complications and I can get back to training
Did not see it but the surgeon said it was large.

Hopefully having the sac removed does the job. Should heal up quick with your good protein intake! Glad you’re finally done with it. Be nice to have that off your list of stressors! 👍🌸💪

yes the scab kept being ripped off and then it would leak again. my bed sheets look NASTY with yellow/red liquid droppings. that was a NASTY cyst. the doctor said it grew large because of all the sitting i do and said it would have kept growing.

i'm in a shit ton of pain right now. it feels like bodymonster shanked me in the back lol. i'm taking tylenol 3x a day but it hurts like hell to even sleep.

Keep up with the fasting, it will help your surgery recover quicker.

You will be back in the gym before, you know, it.

This stitches will help it Heal faster.
I'm glad you got it, done.

I'm sure it hurts like crazy.

Similar to getting a major cut.

Hopefully, you can have this heal up fast.

you will be back at it soon!

steve that looks like a horrible thing to go through.
Hopefully you don't have any more complications.

i had a cyst removed years ago. it hurt like hell for the first 48 hours afterwards then it got better so you will be okay!

i'm looking forward to seeing your improvements once you are healed up.
would like to see how it looks after stitches are out!

bro stop being a poosy.

i had worse stuff then that in the clink when i got shanked.
not complaining man. but when you are in prison its fight or flight. so pain is normal. in real life you have work and sleep you need and if you are in pain it will hurt both

Keep taking some aspirin or Tylenol.

That will help with the pain.
thanks Cali. they told me to take tylenol ahead of time but i didn't feel a thing.. once the numbing went away THEN it hurt like hell lol. i should have taken it ahead of time but i was stubborn.. hope you had a nice holiday, tell hubby whats up for me.. haven't spoken to him in a while or seen him posting much on EF.. hope he is still making $$$.

hubby is doing good thanks.

we had a nice holiday.

Hope you recover fast

stitches are coming out friday.

the pain was rough the first 2 days. then after that it hurts when i put pressure on it or move around too much. i'm not taking anymore tylenol but its still swollen but getting better and better each day.

i've done some light walking this week. we will see if they give me the go ahead to do some training sunday before football. from what i've read takes 2 weeks to really get better from this and a total of 8 weeks to completely heal from this type of thing. knock on wood has been no complications.

ice it out bro ;) thats what i would do

healing is great on my surgery. everyone i know is getting sick right now as there are so many bugs going around after kids went back to school. i didn't suffer any setbacks like infections or fevers like most people do. my body is STRONG and the worst is over. the area is red but no visible scars unless you look really close and they said it would take 8 weeks to fully heal. the surgeon did a great job so gotta give him props for that.

did my biggest cardio day/training day since this all started this week. 90 minutes of hell. felt really good. sweated like a demon.

this time of year with the shorter days and the fast sunsets i tend to get tired a lot more in the evenings... so i try and get in my workouts earlier in the day when i have more energy.

plan on fasting today and then tomorrow will be prepping a huge meal for the week. gonna make a big pot of grape leaves again. watching some football and gonna do housework.

That looks loads better

All that fasting, you do definitely pays off.

Your body heals very quickly compared to other people.

Very true about the surgery. Most people do get sick afterwards, very stressful on the body.

Good to see that it's healing up.

Next step for you is to kill it.

Nice job on the work out.
90 minutes of Hardcore training is really tough post surgery.

you are a beast but take it easy.

This type of thing. Takes time to heal up.

Looking forward to seeing you back to yourself. Will be nice to follow that.

yes except the hours they show. it takes longer according to the data i have seen for that stuff to happen.

did you see earlier in this thread the hour by hour chart that i posted of what happens when? go back and look at that data its right there for you to see on the first page. a lot of good graphs and such

i will repost one of the charts for you here

Thanks for that, I’d missed it!

@James Young you going to start sharing your fasting log with us bro? we waiting
I’ve done it in the past but have found (what I assume to be) the blood sugar fluctuations make me crave way worse than if I do several smaller meals throughout the day.

I do the occasional 5 day fast as part of a detox routine, but limit it to once or twice a year 😅

the cravings are your brain messing with you. could be the ghrelin effects which go up and down, it could also be addictions to food. if you go for a walk or drink some water with some salt it will go away after about 20-30 minutes. if i do longer fasts i simply stay busy and occupied

Meal of the day. Fresh caught mackerel. Brown rice. Broccoli and air fried potatoes.

Worked out Thursday. Friday and this morning cardio. Then tomorrow will do a midday fasted session.

@stevesmi very clean fish meal. :D and fresh caught, cant beat that.

Looking forward to seeing you level up even more.

so this week has been weird. i got in workouts earlier in the week but the tail end of the week i have been dealing with some housekeeping issues and helping family with some stuff. managed to do some cardio this morning so that is good. if i can get in a workout tomorrow morning would be ideal but if not i will try for sunday if i can't get my errands done on a busy week.

the last 2 days i was able to go fishing for a few hours and got skunked on both trips. really pissed off about it because the first day i went the fish started biting as soon as i left for about 3 hours.. the next day i went back and they were biting in the morning so figured there would be a good PM bite too like the day before and there was NOTHING again for me. in 2 days i got 1 bite total and 0 fish. probably my worst 2 days of fishing in my life. but thats how it goes. hope to get in 1 good workout this weekend and try fishing again but we will see.

todays meal was:

top round steak
air fryed potatoes mashed
brocolli
coconut yogurt
and rice cooked in broth

one of my new favorite meals i put together and prepped enough to last me 3-4 days.

during winter its hit or miss.

today was lots of fish but of course i wasn't there. i will try again tomorrow and get up pics of the fish

Sounds like a really nice meal.

I like how you put together healthy and delicious stuff.

Good to take some time away from the training.

Gives your body some rest.

Sucks that you didn't catch any food the last couple days. I'm sure you'll get them next time.

I predict you have a big day, fishing.

Let's see if I'm right.

my buddy zacass who is also a member on here sent me a couple good articles on the benefits of gut health and mental well being. people do not realize how important gut health is to the entire body from head to toe. bad gut health= sick body.

fasting is great for gut health, its the only way to recycle cells in the gut and repair the gut
