I did my TRT pin last night and now there’s a red circle around it and there’s swelling about three or four inches all around it. Should I gotoER and get antibiotics

What brand of oil did u use brother, and did u clean the site and the cap before pinning? Please tell us all

From that photo That looks like you have pinned the top / front of your leg ? If you did you should pin. outer thigh located in the middle third of the lateral thigh between the hip and knee.


Also what lab gear are you using ? Is it new to you?
Some aren’t as clean as others speaking from experience. I’m using Raptor exclusively for last 13 months and haven’t had an adverse reaction. Previously used another lab on here ( not here anymore) and would occasionally get some inflamed adverse effects.

I’ve been using this oil for almost a year. This specific vial I’ve had for over a month. I’m always clean and use good technique.

Broooo... never pin the top of your leg there. Go outter upper thigh (see reference from @LevButlerov)

That looks fine. It's just a bit angry you pinned there and you have a histamine reaction or you've been rubbing your leg in that spot. You're good.

To me it just looks like a bad shot it does happen. Some contributions could be prior irritation, you were at a bad angle a number of things. Should clear up after a few days

HG is correct. I've tried the top 1x. I prefer the quad hamstring area

If you have tissue irritation, it can take a week or more for the redness to die down
there is really nothing a doctor can do about it.

Bros, you don't want to hop on antibiotics unless you really need them. Sometimes doctors give it to you when you don't need it and it fks you up.

I generally avoid quadricep injections. I used to do them back in the day, but more often than not, I hit a blood vessel.

Obviously your body hates what you did to it and sometimes you get these types of reactions. If it gets worse and you notice any type of oozing or anything like that, then you definitely should have a doctor take a look at it.

I mean at the end of the day it's really up to you man. If you have access to a doctor, I would go there first rather than go into the emergency room.

Id keep a bloody close eye on it. Looks very swollen, If it gets worse go see a Doc

Go Outer mid/upper thigh, that purplish color around it looks like you may have hit a capillary, i have hit them in my belly just doing peptides and once hit one VG. Not a big deal, you will heal. If it gets hot and worsens you could go to doc but i wouldn't stress

Looks like the others have you covered. Honestly, I’ve never had that happen to me. I’ve definitely had swelling and even bruising from certain things that are known for PIP, but I’ve never experienced that sort of pinpoint redness before, so don’t feel bad about being concerned. I will also add, I NEVER pin my quads. They say they do it no problem. Good for them hahaha! Plenty of better places imo. If I pinned the top of my thigh like that my leg would jump like a fish on a hook lol. I like the ventroglute and the hip flexor the best for accessibility and comfort. Always IM. At least 1” deep. Also I regularly use my delta and glutes. Occasionally lats, traps. For subq peptides, just anywhere I can pinch convenient or shallow IM.

And as the others said, keep an eye on that. If it gets worse go ahead and go to a clinic, but probably not ER. Unless it gets much worse fast, but it probably won’t. No need to panic

Ive been reading a lot of people saying it’s the wrong spot. I’ll switch it up. The reason I pin there sometimes is because I had a nurse tell me that’s where they do their injections for test if they’re not using side delts or glutes.
