What is the purpose of the metformin?
seems Like, there's better options that they have. You looked into taking GLP-1 instead?
Great start to the log man. I will be in to follow along but have to say that I don't love how young you are and that you are not only taking hormones, but diabetes meds too. I would rather have you take advantage of your crazy high (and still growing) natural testosterone. Starting to suppress it this young will lead to lots of side effects down the road.
Yeah i share the same mindeet as you do masonic, especially with the diabetes medication at 21
Just gonna put this in here and reply for you @Dr. Dolittle as all 3 of these have similar concerns, my question to you guys is why the concern around metformin? It's extremely highly studied, very good at increasing insulin sensitivity which will increase nutrient partitioning which will aid in overall progress and maintaining health, is anti cancerous, reduces oxidative stress, potentially anti ageing and has a tremendous host of positive impacts across a myriad of different health metrics? GLP1 agonists have a lot less long term data, far more (potentially fatal) side effects and why would he want to suppress appetite when the goal is from here to be increasing food post re-sensitisation period. 1500mg Berberine was in place prior but swapped out for metformin during the diet to take a break from the berberine and for the acute appetite suppression whilst food was lower.
For some background, @Dr. Dolittle was smashing 7,500+ calories (1,200+g carbs) per day to gain less than a kg per week at peak of last push, metformin and berberine and other insulin sensitivity tools are desirable over pounding more insulin to manage BG as it just compounds insulin resistance issues and raises BG over time deteriorating pancreatic health. Whilst food is low (for the good Dr anyway), drugs are high and bodyfat is low it's the best time to deploy insulin sensitisers prior to a push up in calories to ensure insulin sensitivity and nutrient partitioning is maximised for as long as possible.
This is all with the idea of maintaining long term health and stopping pre diabetic symptoms in their tracks.
I can understand @Masonic Bodybuilder s concerns regarding age of use but there's a lot of guys out there doing it a lot younger and too late to turn back now hahaha
