Been listening to the podcast for a while now and I thought I’d jump on the forum for the first time.

Back in December I weighed 150kg and was heavily obese, hadn’t set foot in the gym for 20 years maybe. I started on GLP’s and working out at the gym every day.

I’ve now lost 27kg since then and I’m working out 4-5 times a week now following a run of tennis elbow and shoulder bursitis but despite working out less, I’ve learnt a lot and the quality of my workout is better ten months in.

I did my first bloods back in April as I thought I had low test and my results were largely in range so I parked it for a while and pushed on with working out and trying to lose weight.

Test - 15.4
Free test 0.337
SHBG 30.3
Albumin 42.3

Anyway, I turned 40 in August and decided to jump on TRT (DIY). I pin 75mg of Test E, twice a week into my glutes. I put on 5kg weight initially but this has smoothed out now, I’ve increased muscle and I’m starting to look better as a result. I still have a high BF (38.3) which I’m working on.

As I didn’t do a set of bloods prior to starting TRT in August, I’m going to do a new set of bloods soon at the two month mark.

Libido is through the roof which is great, I’ve also noticed increase hair growth on arms and legs. Aside from a small amount of acne on my face, I’ve not seen much in the way of side effects. Maybe some tiredness in my second month as I’ve struggled with the early morning gym sessions for some reason.

If my bloods are good at the end of this month, I plan to increase my dose slightly and I also wanted to see if there is anything else that I could stack which may help with where I am in my journey.

I have looked at primo but is this recommended with such a high BF %? Are there any other suggestions?

@WelshC
Welcome to EVO!!!!
Congrats on your journey. You've done great work so far.
Couple comments here. You've only been on TRT for a couple months and onna good dose. The goal of TRT is to get to a place where you feel good. It seems you have found that place. The test you are taking has just reached full saturation in the last couple weeks so now you body needs to adjust. I would not recommend increasing anything or adding anything for at least 6 months so you can see how that dose actually feels. More is not better. The goal is to take the lowest amount to garner the benefits your looking for. Adding other drugs will not let this process properly play out.
This is what I would recommend. Spend the next year dialing in your TRT and your diet/training. Once your there and you have lower BF then think about using more test or other compounds to build muscle. If you keep changing doses and cycling other gear you will never find the correct TRT dose that works best for you.
Get a log started so we can help you keep things moving in the right direction.

welcome to the EVO family :D @WelshC happy to have you here, awesome you listen to the EVO podcast.
Strong comeback after that 27 kg drop, 4–5 training sessions per week now is solid! Stay on your current 150 mg test split for at least another 6–8 weeks before considering any increase, since your body is still stabilizing from the initial TRT phase.

Primo isn’t worth running yet with 38% body fat, and it's hard to get in legit form.

Start a log so we can follow your bloods, food, and training week by week. It’ll help dial in your e2 control, recovery, and decide when to actually add something like primo later. Logs make feedback more precise and keep your data clean for adjustments. Will take you 15min to start.

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

which GLP'1 have you used and how much? tell us more about that. get a log going

I would continue to get my BF down before starting another PED. Keep going with TRT it does work wonders.
Once you hit a good BF level then think about adding something.

Welcome to evo brother and well done on the weight loss achieved so far 💪💪
As the crew has suggested just roll with your trt and lets get the bodyfat down some more with the momentum you have already started building 🔥
Starting a log will help you not only stay on track but will allow you to build knowledge and get accurate help as the time goes by.
Keen to see you progress brother 💪 🙏

The podcast is definitely some good information so you're on the right track with that.

so those bloods you posted were before TRT or while on? can you get a log going and detail everything for us. your TRT should be levelled out @WelshC

150mg TestE
1mg Retatrutide/week

This is the way to go @WelshC and what I did. I wasn't quite as fat as you but on retatrutide if you play it right that only separates us by a month or two. I still had a gut and tits all my life and up until a few weeks ago when I reached a critical mass point or been in a calorie deficit for long enough to flick a switch and the scale has moved down every day since, it's seriously trippy man. Doing this first will be a goal in itself for you I'm sure but gives you a much better base to work from, much better and quicker than trying to grow your muscles faster while still fat.
