I love turkey dinners. I always tell myself to make them more instead of just holidays.

Problem is having enough time to cook it and enough people to eat it lol. Personally I can't stand left over turkey because I'm a breast guy...when it comes to turkey

As promised here are some photo progress updates.

I think I found a smarter way to take the photos so the quality should be better now. Think I still need to improve it some.

I still don't know how to pose, I'll work on that.

Just for reference I'm taking my 4th injection tonight, so end of week 2 on cycle. 200mg test c, 100mg primo 100 per week and 20mg anavar pre-workout daily.

Log Day 8

Happy Good Friday.

Still making solid progression in my training. Recovery is much better than usual. Today will be my 7th day in a row of weight training and still feeling strong.

3rd injection today on cycle today 100mg test c, 50mg primo100, 20mg anavar sublingually pre-workout.

Went over my intended carb amount yesterday cuz I had no idea back ribs have carbs lol. I'm still pretty new to macro tracking so I'm learning as I go.

Log Day 12

Took my 4th bi weekly injection yesterday. My training went well but nothing crazy. I thought because I had 2 rest days I would crush it, but not much progression on weight or reps yesterday. Tricep reps decreased and delts stayed the same as last week. Maybe it was just an off day.

Someone asked if I could post some pictures of meal, so here's a picture of the beautiful dinner my wife meet me last night. She's super supportive of me and my goals. I'm a lucky guy

A major game changer for me was getting the Eight Sleep mattress cover and pod. Changed everything as far as my sleep quality goes.

I also crash out pretty hard when I sauna right before bed.

Log Day 13

Training was pretty average these last two days. Nothing spectacular. Not sure if I'm a bit sick, or if I've hit some kind of plateau. Diet and sleep have both been good.

I thought after two rest days I'd be hitting great numbers this week but that hasn't been the case.

Eight Sleep mattress cover and pod
I would have never even considered Eight Sleep pod before reading your log...but now i'm intrigued. My wife constantly wants her side hot, I need my side cool... over the last 20 years we have gone through more heating pads and various dual sided matress warmers than I can count. Sounds like you recommend the Eight Sleep Pod....it's slightly pricey, but I think I may need to check it out. Thanks for this.

My wife and I are the exact same as you too. Her side is hot and mine is cool. I don't know how they sleep like that lol.

It's amazing. Your bed is perfect temp every night when you hop in. It adjusts for ambient temp and adjusts throughout the night according to how you're sleeping. It's really pricey but my wife and I both say we can't live without it now.
 
Log Day 10

Still out of town with family. Yesterday was an active rest day after 7 days of weight training in a row. I got over 12k steps in hiking and playing with the nieces and nephew. Hit the hot tub for 30 mins and my muscles appreciated that. Dinner was a roast turkey for Easter and I ate just over 400g of Turkey breast. My appetite is definitely up since starting this cycle. Another rest day today in preparation for 5 days in a row next week. Looking forward to getting back in the gym.

One thing I'm noticing the past couple days is I feel dry, like I'm not hydrated or something. I've been drinking electrolytes in the morning and evening. I drink A LOT or water throughout the day.

I've heard about the anavar pumps during daily life. I don't think it's quite that but I do feel certain muscles tightening up, kind of like cramps. It seems to happen whenever I'm working on ladders or in awards spots. I think the sustained isometrics bring it on.

No just like dry internally almost. It's kind of a weird description I know. Back in the day I used to get cramps and pull muscles a lot when I didn't drink enough water. It's feels like that sort of. My muscles feel tight like they're about to pull whenever I'm using them for an extended period of time.

E.G. I'm up on an extension ladder working and then when I come down 20 mins later my upper glutes feel like they're about to tear when I'm walking down the ladder.

I'm trying to gain lean mass. I'm hoping to add 10-15lbs of muscle. It looks like my weight is staying the exact same since I cut carbs to 250 per day, but it's only been for a week. I'm going to keep tracking and see how it goes.

If you want to gain lean mass, you still need to moderate carbs. Consider cycling carbs, big leg day push 350 grams and small days or rest days drop to 200 grams even 150 with higher fats, PROTEIN is key to growth its a fact, you need to keep it high. @BeMe

Sounds like a plan. Stay the course and keep logging everyday. I'll start manipulating my carbs and fats from now on like you said. Keeping protein high is no prob for me. My appetite is up since going on cycle, so eating is not an issue. I'm getting much better at managing my macros too and hitting my targets well now.

Here's a screenshot of the potassium and sodium I got just through the food I ate today. Looks like most of it comes in the afternoon and evening, so adding the baking soda and sodium in the morning to my breakfast supplement shake should definitely help.

I checked and my morning multi vit contains 200mg of potassium so with the electrolyte mix I'm getting 745mg of potassium and 3.3g of Taurine to start the day off.

Will add salt and baking soda tomorrow morning and check in again tomorrow evening. Thanks

Whew...atleast something is good lol. I've never investigated macros or micro nutrients. My focus was always performance/longevity supplementation and exercise science. I'm realizing now I have massive gaps to fill to really optimize my overall health and fitness. Just changing my electrolyte supplement today had a pretty immediate effect on my well being. It will be fun to learn and make more adjustments/improvements.

Longevity is good its #1 but macros really do matter long term, including trace minerals. @BeMe

Didnt have time to train last night so it became a rest day. My body felt pretty tired by the end of the day. Hit my 10k steps at work. Today's going to be another hectic day on the job.

Drinking my baking soda as I type, tastes pretty gross in my morning shake lol. I think I'll mix a separate shot of baking soda from now on.

on tanker we sleep under deck in room. some days got like 20 sweaty dirty guys sleeping on top of each other lol. it not easy to sleep. the corporate bishes sleep in the nice rooms up top. it like titanic ship where the poor slept lower deck and was last off ship. if tanker blows off the corporate bishes get first dibs off ship

Cutting carbs down is always tough to adjust to initially.
Yea it takes some figuring because I didn't even know certain things have carbs. Before I started tracking macros I was eating really low carb and fat, like sub 100 each. I was having issues on my bloodwork though. My body wasn't recovering, but when I upped my fat and carbs all my blood markers got in optimal range

Not sure what sickness. I wasn't all the way sick, but just feeling a bit off. I usually get sick after a weekend with my little nieces and nephew, they're germ factories lol.

I already take absorbent amounts of D and multis lol. I take the recommended daily amounts of two different multi vitamins and 6000iu of D with 1500iu K2 everyday. I know people say to take C when you're getting sick but it's never helped me personally for some reason.

Higher dose of vitamin C will help for sure, wont hurt, get 5 grams in there and try with elderberry too @BeMe

My immune system is generally pretty strong, I rarely get actually sick. I worked all through COVID and never got it once. The only time I can remember actually being sick over the last few years was after I was forced into taking the COVID vaccine for work lol. That knocked me on my ass for 3 days.

Ya me too.

For sleep you should try CBD tincture (Oil). If your company drug tests you, you can get ones that have no THC in them, but the ones with a bit of THC seem to work better. This is the one I use.

Log Day 16

Up north with the family again this weekend for Moms bday. I had my favorite avocado toast for breakfast and that blasted up my fats for the day.

Trained yard and got some extra steps in to try and offset the high fat. Still feeling strong. Had to run a modified program because of the lack of equipment up here.

Sleep is never as good up here as at home but I try to make up for the lack of quality with quantity.

If you've done 5 grams of vitamin C it would boost your immune system no matter the type. Liposomal vitamin C is the best but hard to use. @BeMe

All other bio markers seem good. Recovery was worse that usual this week but I did feel like my body might be battling off a bit of a sickness.

Yesterday was a rest day and my mom's bday. Went up to the family cottage and had some family time. Managed to get 14k steps in on a hike and clearing up some trees that were down after a recent storm.

I forgot my electrolytes and by the end of the day I did notice a bunch of joint pain. My knuckles, one big toe, wrists, knees, and one elbow felt dry and achy. It got progressively worse into the evening, but I feel good so far this morning. Slept well last night but went to bed later than usual.

I forgot my electrolytes and by the end of the day I did notice a bunch of joint pain. My knuckles, one big toe, wrists, knees, and one elbow felt dry and achy. It got progressively worse into the evening, but I feel good so far this morning. Slept well last night but went to bed later than usual.

Thanks bro. I feel like I'm getting more peeled but losing size, maybe it's in my head. I'm gonna take some measurements tomorrow to see. It's only been 2 1/2 weeks on cycle so can't expect much just yet. Just gotta keep hitting the targets set out for me by the EVO family and trust the process
