Shoulder acting up again so having an MRI next Tuesday. Had problems for the last couple months but pain went away for a week when I added 200mg of EQ to the cycle so I cancelled my MRI thinking it was healed. Pain came back 2 weeks ago and thought I could heal up but nope. Had rotator cuff surgery with biceps tendon repair in 2019. I am staying away from all free weights until I know what is going on.

Protect that shoulder man. I had a bone spur and rotator cleanup in 2018. Still have occasional issues if I go to hard on shoulder movements. Barely do any free weight shoulder work. Been averaging 1-2 cortisone shots per year in both shoulders.

I take two tablespoons 1-2 times per day. Natures Bounty Probiotic 10 which has 10 strains 20 billion live cultures which is stored in fridge. Cant read the label as its too small for my old eyes.

I dont do any free weights at all until I get this shoulder fixed. I also dont do any direct shoulder work as I am getting enough from everything else at the moment. Once I get this shoulder problem fixed (most likely another surgery) then I will add some light machine seated lateral.

Tbone steak sounds good. how did you cook it?
First thing I do is salt and pepper heavily and then put back into the fridge overnight uncovered. I pan fry them until nice and brown and turn over and then add crushed garlic and butter to pan and spoon the melted butter ontop of the steak for about 4 min and then take off burner and rest for 10 minutes. Comes out perfect everytime.
 
Well so far the biggest improvement I have done since starting this diet is quitting alcohol last Sunday evening. I looked at my fitbit data and my resting heart rate has dropped everyday since. Dropping down to 70 bpm. It got as high as 84 when I was on heavy drinking. Looking forward to seeing how I respond over the next few weeks. Back in 2017 my resting heart rate got down to as low as 54 bpm when I was swimming anywhere from 1500-3000 yards per day 4-5 times per week while squatting 405 for 5x5.

I went back and wrote down some data. On Nov 27th 2017 I was at peak yardage and weightlifting. On that day I did 3000 yards in 60 minutes at lunchtime. I then went to the gym for 56 minutes at 3:30. Then went back to the pool for 2100 yards in 52 minutes at 7:30 p.m. Total cal expended for the day was 4842 with 174 Active Minutes. On my hard lifting days I was at the gym for as long as 2 hours on hard squat days or deadlifting days. Oh I would love to be able to do that again.

Went 2.5 hours before eating. I had 15 grams of Glutamine immediately after training. Trying to get my fasting to 21 hours per day. Training at 11:00 A.M. Currently eating at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. everyday. Go to sleep at 10:00 p.m.

I stopped walking on treadmill because it was even worse on my feet and ankles. Hopefully as I lose weight everything else will fall into place. I just dont know how long its going to take until I stop putting on muscle. Seems as though its coming on much faster than the fat is coming off. My pumps are just insane. I also cant believe how much energy I have in the gym after being fasted for 15 hours on my weight lifting days. I thought I would be tired but it seems as though I am excited everytime I go in and lift heavier every workout. I think I am going to have to come down below 1000 calories per day in order to stop the weight gain.

On the magnesium I don't know any magnesium experts bro lol. But I suggest magnesium post training with water, NOT epsom salt, just get normal magnesium+calcium mix.

clomid, I dont suggest taking clomid long term, it's a sERM so selective on estrogen tissue and can cause long term estrogenic damage in men. If you're shut down an want bigger balls, use hcgenerate its made for bigger balls on cycle, 5 caps ed.

during a fast you can add a pinch of salt, cream of tartar (potassium) and pure liquid magnesium to your water. just a little bit of each. this will help hydrate you .. but honestly unless you are sweating you really shouldn't need this for just a 15 hour fast. now if you fast longer then 2-3 days then yes i do it

Oh shoot I forgot to ask about calcium. Whats your favorite type if it is in pill form? I never get enough. I also understand that too much calcium can be bad? I have caclium deposits that have caused me to have ankle surgery a few years ago. Also got them in my shoulders. Not sure if that is from gout or too much calcium?

Also alot of the damage to my body most likely from my extremely high stress job of being on a fishing boat in Alaska for over 35 years. Being on feet for as much as 48 hours with only a few breaks to eat.

Also alot of the damage to my body most likely from my extremely high stress job of being on a fishing boat in Alaska for over 35 years. Being on feet for as much as 48 hours with only a few breaks to eat.

calcium supplementation is simply not needed and does more harm than good
our bones have calcium already that the body taps into when needed.

stick to what i mentioned above for when you sweat during a fast. you don't need anything else

as a fisherman too i believe yes you damaged your body, that is a horrificly bad physical job. there is a reason why deckhands in my state are addicts who just want to make some extra tips to go buy drugs with. nobody wants to work on a fishing boat lol. one of the worst jobs on the planet
 
Ok thats expensive. Looking for a cost effective way to help. I think I will just do a 2 weeks of clomid when I am off the EQ in a couple weeks and add in 20mg of Nolvadex.
How about Proviron. Wouldnt this be an effective way to help? Here is the thing. I am doing 200mg TRT which will be done for years. Going to do 8 week cycles of adding stuff to it from time to time. Not going to go overboard on anything. Looking to do lower dose cycles like 150mg NPP for 8 weeks on the next cycle. Then take 4 weeks off from that and then do a cycle of anavar with the TRT.

Oh shoot I forgot to ask about calcium. Whats your favorite type if it is in pill form? I never get enough. I also understand that too much calcium can be bad? HCGenerate is not expensive, it's a natural way to get your balls going instead of using an estrogen like clomid, you get what you pay for. You're paying with a credit card so you can spread payments.

But if you can't afford it, I would just wait and not do anything about the balls at this point. Proviron will not do anything for ball size.

Fasted for 15.5 hours while doing the Eliptical for 40 minutes. Burned 529 cal going up to level 15 for my hardest intervals.

Meal 1) 3 p.m. 6 eggs, 2 slices cheddar, 2 oz Smokehouse Almonds, handfull of daily vits, minerals, 8000mg Omega3, Inulin, Acacia Senegal Fiber, 100+CFU Probiotics
Meal 2 8 p.m. 16oz ribeye, 1/2 package of asparagus, 8000mg Omega3, more pills/minerals,herbs.

Going camping/hiking tomorrow for the weekend after a full body circuit. Going to be eating what ever is around. Going to try and concentrate on fruit as much as possible. After I get back its going to be game on. Going to try to get to a 2 hour feeding window by months end.

Anyone an expert on magnesium supplements? Whats the best one to take while fasting? Epsom Salt?

Anyone ever take clomid longterm? Is it safe if taken in smaller doses? I need something for my nuts. Just a small 200mg Test Cyp and 100mg EQ has shut me down.

Well today was possibly the hardest day I’ve ever had physically. Climbed a mountain today. Had a rating of Hard. It was painful. I’ve burned 7083 calories today with 5.5 hours left in the day. Have had about 1000 calories today mostly from coconut water and some fruit. Won’t be doing legs on Monday. Lol. My heart rate has not gone down below 100 since we started the hike and finished. 626 zone minutes logged.
Edit heart rate finally dropping down to high 80’s. Ate a sloppy Joe, Doritos, and pineapple.

Finally broke 8000 calories burned for the 24 hour period. I will never be able to top that ever again. Eating lots of fruit today. Body is completely shot from yesterdays hike. Hips and knees are in pain. Going to ice heavily this week. Might even take ice baths.

which mountain did you climb? in alaska?

I will survive with this one day of not eating perfect. The 13 other days were perfect. Ate less than 2000 calories for the day. Still losing fat and gaining muscle. I also had peanut M&M's and they were glorious.

bros obviously you will survive but you have to do your best to control yourself, maybe 1 cheat meal per month with your size but good part you trying hard

Even bigger guys like you can have thyroid issues so refeeds are fine, stay with about 14 days between refeeds. You're fasting and doing cardio so go strong. I would go real high protein via protein shakes so you can get the anabolic effect on the cheat days.

I agree with this. Until habits are locked in, garbage food has no place. He barely quit alcohol a few days ago. You cannot outwork a bad diet.

It's by having that mentality that he got where he is now. Even when traveling, or long hikes, you can bring trailmix and protein bars and raw veggies. You don't need to eat junk (and I'm not a health or so-called clean eating dogmatic person).

Get lean. Be consistent. Drop the weight. Then you can see what triggers you or not.
 
Sounds like a hell of a day

It sounds like we’re going to do another mountain this weekend. I refuse to do it while in Ketosis. Will break my keto this weekend again. Going to concentrate on lots of fruit again. Also lots of beef Jerky. Swimming is in store this week I think. Trying to get the wife comfortable in the water. It’s a challenge as she has trouble breathing.

Do u think I’m not eating enough? I get mixed messages on here. I eat about 2000 cal per day. This weekend I bet I ate about 6000 calories for the three days which is still way below my maintenance. I don’t consider it a refeed as I was still burning fat and I was doing extreme calorie burning at the same time. I am 1.7 lbs lighter than last Monday so it lines up exactly with my 6000 cal deficit on Saturday.
 
I am going to be refeeding every weekend until Mid August as my wife has vacation time and we are going on trips every weekend until her vacation is over. I bet I end up losing more fat over the next 3

You worry about refeeding once you get to 4% body fat. Until then forget refeed which is only gonna prevent you from losing fat as fast

If refeeding was a good thing Americans would all be lean and healthy with all the refeeding that happens daily lol

You are over thinking the how and why our thyroid does what it does. Also reading way into what pro bodybuilders do with their diets which is not how 99.9% of us should approach this game
 
Real talk: If what you are reporting is correct, you are in like a 2000 calorie deficit, so absent consistent Dexa scans, you are probably losing fat quickly, but not putting on muscle. It’s just not the way bodies work. As far as reseeding, you have a lot of energy to supply from your stored resources. If, and it is a big if, keto makes you better at burning your own fat by ingesting fat, then your ketogenic/lipolytic pathway should be becoming more efficient, and you shouldn’t need to eat Doritos to keep up your energy.

I’m not sure the duration somebody can stay in such a large deficit, but if you are going to do so, and want to preserve, much less grow, muscle, you need to concentrate on getting your protein intake up.

You are wrong. Maybe a person who is at peak condition, but not for somone like me who has spent more time away from the gym than in the gym over the last 20 years. Ive gone as long as 2-3 years without touching a weight as recently as when covid started. Muscle memory is real. I am nowhere near my peak. I figure ive spent less than 1/4 of the last 20 years in the gym. I can afford to eat what I want from time to time. I dont have to live a life so anal that I can't enjoy the finer things. I have no competition I am competing in so I will have my ice cream once in a while. I am burining twice as many calories per day as I am consuming. Anyone who eats Atlantic Salmon is harming their body more than I am by eating carbs on the weekend once every couple weeks. Atlantic Salmon is poison. At least I am doing 19 hour fasting everyday. Not everyone has to eat ultra strict every day of the year. I will just do what I know is working. The weights are increasing and I am seeing the difference in the mirror so that proves your wrong.
