Hey guys just wanted to let everyone know about my recent experience with roidsafe
I have used roidsafe once before for bloods but normally use imedical i acquired the regular blood screening test from roidsafe on Monday the 12th of may and proceeded to collection centre i waited approximately 7 days no results came through I emailed roidsafe who advised they would chase up the collection centre after several back and forth emails at approximately day 12 i received most of my results not really good enough when they are normally back in 3 days at this point i had all results except testosterone fast forward to today and after a few more emails I was given a new referral to redo the bloods
I cant say this is directly the fault of roidsafe but just a heads up if your looking to get your results in a timely manner i would Personally stick with imedical
Anyone else have this type of experience with roidsafe?

I haven't tried roidsafe but like you, I find imed to be fantastic. Next day results more often than not. I know roidsafe are cheaper but this experience sounds like a headache.

Stick with imedical save yourself the headache

I've been using g them for over a yr and normally my results a back with 3 days.

Never had any issues at all. Remember blood results are lab dependent, the script provider has no way of speeding up the process, it's the same when I have had the gp do it, all the say is we will call the lab.

Fair enough that's why I put the post up see if anyone else was having issues

EVery time I have used roidsafe - results on my phone in 2-3 days.
Sometimes it depends on what lab you use - some have to outsource some tests etc.

I feel for ya brother! You really did get stiffed by this company.
Imedical has always been spot on for me - always 48hrs and then GH or CRP a day later.
Thanks for taking the time to post up your experience bro

Not good mate, thanks for sharing.

They have recently changed hands, I am not a fan of the new system they have implemented.

Ive not had huge dramas with them, but yes extremely slow or incomplete tests have been an issue before.

Ive not used iMedical - thought it was $$$ for monthly bloods.

Imedical is a little exy but always have results in 72hrs

I done my bloods trough iMedical last Thursday at 8.00am, and got the results back by 5pm.
Blood was taken by AusLabs. And test I took was Sports BB1 from iMedical.

They haven't changed hands brother. They acquired another company and merged it with their parent company at this beginning of this year, bringing in additional expertise in the process. I believe this is all part of their plan to scale up and streamline their operations. They rolled out a new patient portal recently but there are probably a bunch of changes happening both internally and customer-facing - no doubt there will be some teething issues during this process.

I use both Roidsafe and iMedical - there aren't many companies doing much in this area so it's good that we at least have a couple of options to choose from.

Always happy to be corrected, thanks AJ. Whatever it was, I only care about how I get me results and the new portal is shitty to navigate. It's now made me just use it on my desktop. Still my experiences have been mostly positive, and bang for buck they are spot on thats really the only reason I continue to use them.

For sure brother, I think it's important to share your experiences too. Speaking about something you don't like about a company doesn't mean you dislike everything about them. The companies that genuinely care will take that feedback and use it to improve their product. I do know that when they rolled out their new portal they were requesting feedback from customers so they could learn more about what needed improving. It probably made sense to ship the new portal knowing it has flaws and then implement changes based on real customer feedback vs. just assuming what customers would want and prolonging the release.

I also think that Roidsafe's initial unique selling prop was its ability to offer (mostly) what iMedical can but at a fraction of the cost by utilising Medicare rebates, but it's becoming apparent that customers are happy to pay more if it means getting their results quicker and having a smoother process overall. If they could get some of the more pressing problems ironed out while maintaining their current price point, they'd be in a very strong position.

I've forwarded this thread over to Roidsafe. Hopefully someone from the team will chime in - being able to tap into the community and get feedback directly from their target audience would give them some valuable insights.

This is exactly why I made the post for feedback i don't dislike the company there prices are great if they ironed out the timing issues and and portal you are correct most people would definitely use them

100% brother! Genuine constructive criticism has the potential to benefit everyone if handled properly. Especially in cases like this where a company is operating in a niche space and market share is limited. That alone should be enough motivation to gain any competitive edge they can :)

Hi Everyone

Sorry for the delay in responding, currently on a family holiday. Also, sorry for the poor experience or slow results if this happened to you.

If your results haven't come back in 4-5 business days, or you haven't heard anything from us, we just need you to let us know.

Lots of different reports here! It appears iMedical and us, have similar issues, re results being returned from pathology are inconsistent in timing. Also, like to mention, we haven't changed management, we've brought in some amazing talent with an acquisition. Our portal and patient experience is improving and will improve every week from here on out. Not every improvement feels like an improvement immediately, but I assure you we will keep getting better. And sometimes the steps are part of a great picture. iMedical sells testing from Healius - Laverty Pathology and Dorevitch. They definitely have the benefit of knowing you went to that group. Our referrals are accepted at every pathology Australia-wide. So unless we hear from you we have no idea if you have been to pathology, so just let us know. And regarding slow response, we will work on and review this if it's the case. We are continually reviewing and monitoring.

I know we have had customers, including myself, get results back in 24 hours from pathology, and that's bloody awesome. For example, when this happened to me, it was in September 2022, at Laverty Pathology in Market Town in Newcastle. I took in a Roidsafe referral and had all the results the next morning!

I was astonished. But the reality is that we give a five-business-day turnaround for results because we operate Australia-wide, and pathology is truly inconsistent.

You can read it in this thread—even iMedical: "I get my results back in 24 hours... I get mine back in 72." I'm not trying to shift blame, but we are dealing with lots of providers. iMedical does have the benefit of only dealing with one group, but either way, no one can guarantee turn around.

We encourage people to use certain clinics for these tests, but we cannot guarantee their consistency nationwide - they're not a part of our group. Our preference for testing is pathology clinics from the Healius group or Sonic Health.

Anyway, if anyone needs any follow-up or any suggestions for improvement, let us know via the new patient portal. More features are underway, including an AI automated follow-up - ie. When we haven't received all your results the system will ask pathology why.

It will just get better and better.

Great feedback mate, a better web app is in the pipeline too. The old Medirecords system caused far too many issues and had to go. The new system, we control and can continually improve with your feedback!

This is all I needed to hear! Just make it easily accessible to view results and you're on to a winner.

Thanks for taking some time out to drop in. I think we all understand you're working with 3rd party providers and this makes nailing down service linked issues difficult.

Imed here. Long time since posted here. Stumbled across.

Fyi, labs are rolling out new systems whereas they are giving every GP in Australia access to their WHOLE database. Labs had started doing this with certain Specialists a year or 2 ago but previously not GP's.

Imedical has been specifically quarantined off this system. It took a decent fight at the lab board level with legal arguments on patient privacy. But imedical now has special coding in place on our accounts at the labs installed before they went live with this. We found out they were about to start so was a pretty big effort to get it over the line.

Thanks for the update, I did notice that my GP was able to see some tests, but that was "my health" related.

Not an issue for me, but im sure others have valid concerns.

Won't be ours. No way they can see. Possibly related to another company or Dr.
Anything medicare related will show if dr uses same lab. Imedical avoids all that. Also imedical results unable to go to myhealth, even if we wanted them to. Needs the medicare 'fingerprint' to work

@Roidsafe Any chance you’ll eventually let us view our historical data properly, without all the PDF treasure hunts? Tracking changes over time is the whole point of regular bloods. Your new forms might look flash, but right now they’re style over substance for the end user... maybe it was clinopath but data is useless without the history.
