TRT for only 3 months WTF?

trank406

Buff Brother
So I'm eligible for trt but the endo says it's only going to be for 3 months and one injection a month so a total of 3 injections in the course of 3 months then after that wait 2 weeks and do blood work to see if I'm in the normal range. Does that makes sense to any of you guys because I thought when you go on trt you have to stay on forever? I don't want to get shut down because some dumb ass endo doesn't know what he's doing. I'm so frustrated!

He said he wants to check your levels to see if they're normal?? Maybe he's just checking the dose. That doesn't make any sense.

Need Venom?? I'll bite ya 😉

It doesn't make any sense to do it 3 months in hope that your natural levels will get better. You're not sure of his motive?

Find another doctor bro....there is protocol that needs to be followed. They must first establish a baseline, then establish dosage, yada yada yada. it cant be done in three months.

Well supposedly my test levels are now 238 so he said he's going to confirm if my insurance covers the injections and i'll be getting an injection once a month for 3 months to see if i'll be back to normal but i thought if you go on trt it's forever? I'm going to talk to him about how the hell it's all going to work out because I don't want to get started for him just to fuck up my body even more! I mean I've taken clomid for 3 months before to raise my test levels and it got to 630 but everyone says once you get off the clomid you'll go back to where you started that's why i wanted to try for trt

time to drop that doctor like a bad habit bc he has no clue wtf he's doing bro. One injection a month is not going to create stable levels at all. You need at the bare minimum one injection a week.

Honestly it doesn't sound that bad, maybe he just wants to check your levels to see if they're in the normal range and if they are he will keep you at those doses?

Actually after re reading everything it sounds horrible lol. He needs a baseline, and he needs to do weekly injections, worst case every 2 week injections, not a month. I would find a new doc bro. And you could always just self medicate for TRT purposes. Just give yourself 100mg a week for 3 months and do blood and see how you feel and you can always increase it to 150mg a week. But you have to make sure and get bloods and I would not recommend this before trying to find a new doctor. My doc that put me on TRT checked my levels, said hell yea they a re low, and said I needed bloodworm in 1 year to make sure everything is ok. And its been a year and my bloods came back fine, test was just over 1000, so I do more bloodworm in another year. So if you find the right doc it will be worth it

Yeah I'll see what happens with my insurance and if they cover it then I'll have to go and meet with this endo and talk to him about everything and explain to him that I don't want him to fuck up my hormones more than they are lol hopefully by talking to him he can further make me understand what he wants to do. We'll see. Thanks guys for your input! Just had to share to see what you guys think cuz it didn't make sense to me.

this guy thinks that if you inject test for 3 months that after 3 months your body will magically start producing test on its own.

he doesn't get the concept. a dude I work with thinks this as well and wanted to run test for a couple months in the hopes his body would adjust to it and then start producing lots of hormones when he stopped.

find a new one that actually understands how the HPTA works

We need a sticky naming doctors that are ignorant so that no one else goes near them. Call it Dipshit Incompetent Doctors EXPOSED.

if we did that we would crash the site from sheer volume of posts

I agree with you guys and I'm going to explain to him that any kind of synthetic hormone that he gives me I'm not going to take as a joke because if he gives it to me for 3 months and that's all and I get shut down or get fucked up he's going to hear back from me! I'll definitely talk to him and have him explain what his plans are before proceeding. I know there are a lot of idiot doctors out there and I always get the dumb asses who don't know what they're doing! My shitty luck I guess!

Do you know how much trt costs if your insurance doesn't cover it?

self TRT is an option.. you can run your own bloodwork without worrying about going into seeing a doc

I am Still Amazed to this Day that so many Doctors just don't Understand TRT, Nutrition, and quite a Few Other Things..................... JP

P.S.
Just goes to Show that because you have some Initials after your Name, doesn't Mean that you Know Anything.
P.S.S.
From Time to Time over the Years, I've brought a couple Doctors Up to Date on Different Topics.
The Good Doctors Listen and Learn.
The Bad Ones Lose a Patient.

Yep, going that route myself and with all the resources, it's far easier than I'd have ever expected, I should've done this to start with.

The thing about his doctor giving him TRT for 3 months doesn't make sense to me, though God knows I'm no expert. From what I've read, all that'll do is suppress his own testosterone production and make things worse. Shouldn't he be trying to jump-start the guy's production with Chlomid or something like that instead, at least to start with?

One injection a month? Wow - amazing to me a doctor would prescribe this when a simple Google search will come back that this is a really shitty idea. At least once a week shots (I do two a week and break it up to keep levels stable), but once a week is just fine with test cyp. Ask him about one shot per week and if he disagrees then it's time to find someone that is competent in the area of trt. He'll have you feeling great for a week, back to baseline after two weeks, and worse off than before during weeks three and four. Have another conversation with him and then come back and let us know what he suggests. There are good docs out there that can really improve your life, but there are some that are way behind the curve. Find out which on this guy is and report back. Good luck
