Hit a 35lb back squat PR this morning. 405lbs and had more in the tank. I was stuck in the mid 300’s for several years. Pretty pumped.

Microdose of psilocybin (2 days on, 2 off) is interesting. Do you take it for mood elevation? Does it help recovery? Also why 2 on 2 off? Not familiar with microdosing at all.
It’s for mental health. I am just experimenting. I don’t know if I’m sold yet. It does induce an improved mood/more positive outlook. The 2 on 2 off is so that you don’t develop a tolerance for it and have to continually increase the dose.

@ajg223 psilocybin works for mood elevation but you need to do micro dosing like 3-4 times per day, low dose

thanks for being open about the depression you can help a lot of people with your knowledge on it

I'm glad to see you're being honest and transparent

it takes a real man to talk about that type of thing much respect for that

Thanks guys for the support. I was always embarrassed about it, but then I realized it’s part of who I am. Around that time I quit using drugs and alcohol and starting exercising. I had never lifted a weight before I turned 30.

I didn’t mean to make this about mental health and I wasn’t attempting to shame or make @Mobster feel bad. He has been more helpful than he knows in my journey.

That's good you quit the alcohol and drugs those Are depressants so they make you more depressed anyway

you are right everybody has something different about them and being different isn't something to be ashamed about

being different is what makes us strong and strong on this forum as well

I'm proud of you for being open about it and helping others who are reading this you've got so many people reading this log even if you help one person that goes a long way

I can definitely relate to the depression. It is incredibly hard to talk about, especially in person.

I should be able to start some light upper body tomorrow. Won’t at 100% for a week or so.

@ajg223 go slow but increase collagen, add more bone broth required ED

Joe Rogan raves about micro dosing. Also listened to a podcast saying it helps veterans with PTSD and CTE (it’s supposed to help with brain inflammation associated with CTE). Not medical advise, just listening to podcasts.

Got back in the gym today. Using this week as a rest/deload week. Going to be away for the 4th and not sure what the gym situation will be. Might be able to drop into to a couple CrossFit classes. Did only upper body today. Might try some really light weight lower body stuff tomorrow. Not really looking to tear my sac open. No pain to speak of but stitches haven’t healed completely.

@ajg223 take it slow dont do anything too heavy or too much for 4 weeks
the training you doing is fine dont go over man :)

It definitely listen to the doctor on this and go very light
maybe some swimming? Or some walking
Doctor’s instructions were simple. Listen to your body. If it hurts, stop. Put no actual restrictions on me. I asked specifically about lifting and playing golf.

Sounds like normal weight lifting should be fine

just don't do any heavy Olympic lifting like clean and jerks or anything crazy

sounds like your doctor gave you some good advice

Your doctor is a good guy

we want you to be happy and healthy

you won't go wrong listening to the doctors

yeah I would have avoid the super heavy weight

Love a good Deload after a long heavy training stretch

Bro while it may be frustrating, just take it easy and go light for the next few weeks - that way your staying active and once you have healed properly you can go hard 💪

I’m back on intermittent fasting. Usually 14-16 hour fasts. This week hasn’t been great as cleanliness of diet. BBQ’s, a couple meals out, and occasional ice cream at night. Not enough to totally derail me but need to tighten it back up Monday. If I am going to get the abs I want, I need my diet to be nearly perfect.

I don’t feel that big, but I have been around people I haven’t seen in 6+ months and literally more than ten people have commented on “how much time I must be spending in the gym.” I feel kinda bad that it’s due to being on gear, but also feel better about my physique than I ever have.

make sure you're getting in some good stretching post-workout as well

proud of you man you are doing very good keep it up

nice work man you hit the both ends of your legs

the hard work is starting to pay off for you

nice update man looking forward to see where you go on this log

@ajg223 alright lets cut that down tight
but you need at least 16-20 hour fasting if you want to get super tight and abs
you doing that?
