Newbie, first cycle

Hey all, been listening to this podcast for a while and thought I'd join up as I'm always happy for more knowledge and support in any way.
Started my first proper cycle 6 weeks ago. I'm 42 year old male and I've trained on and off since high school, but never seriously. Decided I wanted to really get stuck into some training and my mate is a powerlifter who put me onto my first bit of real knowledge about test and PEDs.
Started first 7 weeks ago on nandro test 400mg (240mg test u/160mg deca) which made me feel amazing and got some nice pumps. Decided to then really sort out my diet and I've now lumped up and even smashed a p.b. of 5 reps @ 100kg on the bench press.
I'm really enjoying my workouts and try to train with as much intensity as possible for maximum results. Gonna run this cycle for another 5 weeks and then get a solid PCT in.
Just one question, especially after chest sessions, my nips are tender, do you think I should grab some aromasin or e-blocker as a precaution?

have you not been using any ancillaries the entire cycle? no AI as well as nothing for prolactin? you should have also had PRE, MID and then of course post cycle bloodwork done.. you need a baseline, then you need to know how your body is reacting and then of course how you recover.. you need to go check bloodwork FIRST so you do not address the wrong issue.. by doing that, which happens often because people become lazy and do not take the proper precautions necessary, often find themselves a mess...

Thanks for your reply, it's hard and very expensive to get the bloodwork done in the UK, so I know I needed it but I just couldn't afford it. I've had no other real reaction apart from slightly sensitive nipples and that's only after a chest day, is there anything you suggest, obviously I don't have the baseline that I should, do you think an estrogen blocker would be advisable?

not trying to be a dick bro but if you cant do bloodwork , DO NOT use steroids period... you are just playing with fire both short and long term... i mean that as me looking out for you...

i would at the minimum use a low dose of aromasin or arimidex, yes but then again, you also could have prolactin there as well, which is why its so important to know.. you certainly should use vitamin b6 and ashwaghanda for that at the bare minimum but this is just bad all the way around without bloodwork

I take the comment on board fully brother, obviously I will make sure to get my bloods done post cycle and during PCT then I can get some kind of level. I already take b6 and will order aromasin tonight.

sounds good bro... some people take me the wrong way because i dont necessary tell them what they want to hear.. i dont care what people want to hear, i care about what they need to hear so they do things right.. .glad you actually have the right kind of attitude... stay on top of things and youll be good bro

Literally just ordered the aromasin now so that'll be here in two days. Like I say, I'm new to all this and welcome any and all suggestions as I want to be as safe as possible while getting the best shape my genetics will allow. Appreciate you dude.

@philmo23 welcome to the EVO family bro :) happy you're posting and you're listening to the podcast, thats #1 info right there.

now, on the cycle situation, well, I like overall that you wan to do test deca not bad BUT you started the cycle without starting a LOG bro? after listening to the log, thats disappointing but we can fix this. :)
please help us understand you more and your cycle more, start a NEW thread with your LOG journal diary, diet training cardio cycle info and history and we can help you and guide you more and podcast hosts will help you here live.


To really guide you we need more info, we need you to share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
We have 100s of years of experience between us, you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight,height,age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.

if you're using gear that aromatizes then you need an AI
 
please put up a log Journal
very difficult to make guesses based on what you said
 
at worst keep an AI on hand
at least you will save yourself
 
you won't go wrong with using an AI
please put up a log Journal though and post up your blood work
 
Are you training seriously now?
Yes, training is my new addiction, mainly doing two warm up sets and then two heavy sets followed by drop set for each movement I do. 30 second to 1 min rest between each set.
Getting some nice results already, slow and steady gains are the key as I've heard you say in many of the podcasts I've listened to so far.
Want to try and bulk first cycle, then do a cutting cycle and alternate to see what my genetics can produce. Know I'm not blessed with the best, but want to get the best for me.
