Had a really good close grip bench session today. Hit massive PR. My best before today was 315 for sets of 5. Never did a one rep max with close grip but today was nice. Blew right past that with 365. Hoping to increase again by another 10 lbs next week for the final week of the peaking process. Ok everyone have a nice weekend and get Strong AF!!!

Will concentrate on squats with my next strength building phase which starts in about a week. Will do squats and deadlifts twice a week on the same days. Ok everyone have a nice holidays. Will be back tomorrow for a possible attempt at 365 on the incline bench. Its my 55th birthday so I have to at least try it.

Looking forward to my next strength building cycle. Looking to build strength and recomp. Basically what ive been doing the last 18 months. If I can get down to 230 during my health phase I think I have a good shot at being able to make weight at 220 for a competition just by cutting carbs and water loading. Ive seen stories of Dan Greene losing 20 lbs in a week doing this. I would be happy to do half that. Now I just need to figure out how to insert an I.V. in order to rehydrate properly when it comes to that point. Ok everyone have a Merry Christmas and eat good!!!

Well here we go back to the grind. Will be starting a new strength building phase. Decided to not do deadlift today as a week off from them will do the body good. We will be doing 5x5 @80% 1RM starting off. Will adjust accordingly as we go from week to week. Will stay at 5x5 for at least 8 weeks on the big 3 lifts. Tomorrow is my last shot of NPP and then its going to be just 150mg of Test per week on my health phase. I dont want to go any higher as I want to see how low I can go and still feel good. I think 250mg of TRT is too much IMO during health phase. I have no intention on gaining muscle in the next 6 months so no reason to go high on dosages. I am trying to gain strength with zero muscle weight gain. Need to make weight for the 100KG class. Most likely going to enter a local comp in mid May to qualify for nationals at end of summer. Ok everyone have a good last few days to the year and get strong af!!!

Had a really good close grip bench session today. The last set of 5 were all pause reps. Felt strong. Will most likely do the same weight next week and see how it goes. Will most likely bump up the weight when I can get sets of 7 on all 5 sets. Haven't decided yet.
Today was also the last shot of NPP. I havent had any orals in 5 days and masteron ended over a week ago. So starting Monday will only be doing 150mg Test Cyp once per week. I have no reason to go two shots per week as once per week I have felt fine at that level since I started on TRT 18 months ago. I am not trying to gain muscle so I dont care about how much weight I lose over the next few months. In fact I want to lose more weight and I expect to lose some muscle weight over the process. The muscle will get much stronger though. If Jessie Norris can hit huge numbers while weighing 198 lbs at my height so can I. Ok everyone have a good weekend and get strong af!!!

Felt really strong today on Incline Bench considering I decided to train without elbow sleeves for the first time in 5 months. I probably could have gotten out sets of 7-8 on all 5 sets but need to start low so I can increase over time. Volume will increase over the next month as well. Have to really tax the body bigtime so I have a lot to taper off of when I compete in May. I can sure feel the elbow without the sleeve after the 5th set of incline though. Will assess how it feels over the next week and make a decision to keep them off or back on again. Ok everyone have a Happy New Year and dont drink and drive!!!

Had a good day today. Added in pause squats to increase squatting twice a week. Felt nice and easy. Will keep deadlift weight the same for next week and then increase by 20 lbs the following week and then hold for 2 weeks and then go up another 20 lbs. They felt nice and speedy until the 5th set. Fatigue really set in on the last set. My weight has gone down to an all time low of 234 today. Havent been this low in decades. Hoping to see it go below 230 before my cycle start on Feb 15th. Currently on just 150mg week of Test Cyp EP brand. Ok everyone have a good weekend and get crazy strong!!!

Have some pretty severe tendonitis rearing its ugly head again in my elbow. Hoping it doesn't travel all the way down my arm into the shoulder. If I was on HGH I bet it wouldnt even happen. Still not sure if I will keep the weight the same next week and up reps by another to sets of 7 on close grip. Will play it by how things feel. I see no point in increasing weight and might just be better to keep weight at 295 and go up each week until I hit 5 sets of 10 or even more. Ok everyone have a nice weekend and get Strong AF!!!

Had another easy squat session today. Could have done sets of 8-10 it felt easy and fast explosive reps out of the hole. Will go up 20 lbs next week and see how I feel. The plan is to go easy and hold back until I start my cycle and training for the powerlifting meet which is first week of May. Training cycle begins Feb 15th or therabouts. Had a nice strong day today on the incline bench. Kept weight the same but added in a rep on each set. Decided to do AMRAP on last set and got out 10. Was pretty pumped with that effort for the 5th working set. I guess next week will go to sets of 7. Hoping to continue to gain strength in this health phase with only 150mg test cyp per week on board. If I can get to 5 sets of 10 within the next 5 weeks I am golden for the strength cycle starting in 5 weeks. Will be back tomorrow for deadlift session and some back work. After finishing up pause squats got a terrible pain in my groin tendon so took it easy the rest of the workout and just did one more thing and then off to stationary bike to warmdown. Going to back off on all exercises that dont pertain to powerlifting for the foreseable future. Will do mutliple types of bench on bench day and avoid shoulder work altogether. Very limited bicep work. Maybe a couple sets here and there on arm or back day. I figure ive put enough muscle on over the course of the last 18 months that I can coast through and just get stronger in the main three lifts. Going to try and keep up and do the main three lifts multiple times per week. Its time to get the ball rolling and get the big three lifts up to record levels over the course of the next 12-18 months. Whatever it takes I will break the world record in the Deadlift and the powerlifting total at min. If all goes well maybe even the bench and the squat as well but that will be further down the road IMO. I want that deadlift record of 733 lbs at 220 lb BW. This is also going to be the last entry into this log as the cycle ended on the 31st. I will post up photos in the next few days. All in all I am happy as a clam at high tide. My strength went linear the entire time as I kept hitting PR after PR the entire cycle while losing BF. I might have to settle for the high 220's for my lowest weight before doing a water cut for my powerlifting meet. I just dont know how much weight my body will allow me to lose without losing all my strength and most importantly getting injured. I feel if I go to low it increases my injury risk and I cant allow that. I just want to thank Purity Source Labs and @~Vision~ for the opportunity to get a full sponsorship for my needs in order to continue to see gains even as I hit my mid 50's. I feel there will be many more years left of gains ahead as I feel I am at the early stages of my genetic limits and have much left to achieve. I also want to thank everyone of you on Evo cheering me along as it really helps motivate me when I am feeling tired and down. It pushes me to the next level when you all are cheering me on each and every day so you are just as much a part of my success as pretty much everything else that goes into a successful log. I cant wait to start my next cycle which I am in the planning stages and will be a strength oriented cycle as I plan to compete on the platform at a local powerlifting comp in the first week of May with my wife. thinking about increasing my TRT back to 250mg like I did last recovery phase. I wanted to try 150mg but I don't think it's gonna happen. Ideally I should probably add 100mg NPP per week but we will see how it goes. Worst case I will be back on cycle in 4 weeks with 200-300 NPP anyway.

i think you're a big lifter bro and a true powerlifter, so many small injuries come happened to me back in the day 15 years ago
