First cycle advice and history about my lifting experience

Hello! I wanted to first state that i am very new here, as i quite literally just created this account. i have been a lurker of forums and other online discussions about PEDS for a while now, however i'm planning on starting my first cycle very soon (i already purchased the testosterone vials needed for it, yes i am potentially a dumbass)

I would like to add a little paragraph about my lifting history, if it's irrelevant you can just skip it lol.

LIFTING HISTORY
I started lifting at 16 inside my house with some weights, i was around 65 kg when i started (172 cm at the time i believe) and it wasn't until i was 17 till i stepped foot inside of a gym. Throughout my training from 17-18 i made a lot of progress, my lifts were pretty strong, especially my barbell backsquat, i had really good mobility and managed to squat 150kg for 2 in my first year of training, in my mid 18s i was looking into the whole powerlifting outlook on lifting, got myself some coaching, a belt, and wanted to eventually squat 180 kg in a real competition. Unfortunately this dream was very short lived, as i herniated 2 discs in a warmup set. Yes i was teen, and probably pushing myself too hard, but i even had a video which i showed my physical therapist, and he said that injuries can happen to anyone, no matter how hard you try to prevent them, even though i was warming up, had a belt, a spotter, and safetys, and seemingly perfect form. Fortunately i had like 5-6 months of physical therapy and my pain is completely gone, even now.

Forgot to mention, however i bulked pretty heavy to manage that squat, when i started this bulk i also learned to count calories, eventually reaching 85kg, and i sadly lost a lot of weight since i was very sad about the injury, couldn't train very hard and felt like garbage, ended up dropping back down to around 70kg. When i was recovered and green flagged to train hard again, (19 now) i immediatly started to bulk, this time aiming for a more controlled one, eventually getting back up to 83kg, estimating around 20% bodyfat probably, this bulk did last a while though, i was in a much more controlled surplus, i actually ended up mainting this weight for a while since i didn't feel to fat at 20%, but eventually i decided to start a cut.

Which leads me to where i am at currently, i'm 21 (yes, i know, very young) and around 76kg. grew to 175cm and i estimate 15% bodyfat. I have made what i believe is realistic and great progress as a natural, some of the vets of my gym ask me what i'm taking, one of them is dead set on me not being natural (flattering, lol)

TLDR: I've made what i believe is good progress as a natural, i fucking love lifting with all my soul, and can confidently say that i have my training and diet dialed in. (not sure if relevant, but my carreer is heavily associated with training and the movement of the body)

First cycle
Even though i have done my fair share of research, i am still doubtful of how i should do my first cycle, yes it will only be testosterone, and i originally i bought enough test to last at 500 mg for 16 weeks, but i've read many opinions on how starting at a lower dose like 250mgs is better, i am also doubting if i should pct or cruise, originally i planned on PCT, cruising does sound nicer, but you only have so many cycles in the tank, and considering i'm only 21, i'm not sure that's a great idea. I will have an AI on hand, and will take it accordingly to whatever high e2 sides i experience, and for PCT, i have nolvadex, don't really care about testicular atrophy that much or fertility. I also got my bloodwork done recently, will do during and after. If prompted i'll add it but i do have to translate it to english. Thanks for reading.

I don't take many pictures but these are the most recent i found.

I tested at 519 ng/dl, not extremely low but lower than i'd thought considering my habits are all very healthy and "high test promoting" everything else was practically perfect.

welcome to the EVO family :D @LiftingLarry you look good and thick in the pic!
You’ve got a strong foundation already, good base strength, and the discipline that most guys never build before cycling. You’re also smart for thinking about the long game instead of just blasting the first bottle. At 21, your natural test is still peaking and you’re clearly progressing off good diet and training structure, so the goal right now isn’t to rush into a cycle but to build the habits and data that make it successful when you do.

@BeMe @HarleyGuy can chime in with @vanlife_gymbum

Before pinning, spend at least 8-10 weeks running a pre-cycle log. Track lifts, recovery, sleep, and full bloods. That baseline log will tell you if your nutrition, training load, and recovery are ready for exogenous test, and it’s what allows you to spot real improvements once you start. Keep your calories controlled, protein high, and document weekly metrics like e2, weight, and strength. If you do that prep first, your first test run will be safer, smoother, and way more productive. It's easy to do 15min of your time and 5min to update. Here is the guide below.

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.
To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

@LiftingLarry disc issues are something that are par for the course as weight lifters. but to get it that young is something you need to take seriously. i recommend foam rolling, inversion table and hot yoga as maintenace. and also its required to warm up properly

Hey @LiftingLarry welcome to the EVO fam bro.

Sorry to hear about the troubles you've had at such a young age. Being young and strong is a very dangerous combo. You really don't start thinking about long term health and strict form until your older and banged up already lol. I know I didn't. I still get caught up in the odd ego lift even at 40 haha.

I whole heartedly agree with @LevButlerov

Post a training log pre-cycle and let's see what we can do to dial you in naturally. You're committing something long term and you're still young. It's a big decision to make hopping on gear. You wouldn't marry your girlfriend right now right?

Saying you don't worry about PCT or fertility is also a mistake you could end up regretting in life. As an older dude I know I don't think about almost anything the same way I did when I was 21. I know it's sounds super cliche but it's actually true.

Your test reading of 519, what were the days like leading up to that test? Did you train? Cuz training will knock down your reading big time. How were your other markers? There could be something else effecting that reading. Posting your full blood report would help.

You have a great physique for your age and have some solid muscle already on your frame with a great shape and clearly great genetics.

First I want to welcome you to EVO! We are lucky to have such a jacked natty on here and with your experience already too at this young age. You will be a great contribution to the forum.

Before I give you any advice I have two questions @LiftingLarry
- How dead set are you on running gear at such a young age? I need a no bullshit assessment on where you're at with this because it will gear me into one direction or the other. No judgement, just need to know.
- Are you willing to post a log on here and include all the information that @LevButlerov showed you needs to be in a log? Supplements, macros, diet, training, mood, pictures of any that apply, etc. and most importantly get bloodwork done and post it on here.

Reason I ask is because at age 21 we will need to follow along with you a lot closer than some members because your test levels are peaking now and what you're about to do can really shut down your HPTA and mess with your fertility and endocrine system (possibly permanently) and it is currently in a balanced homogenous state for natural gains and growth and likely where I'd love mine to be at at age 48.

If you are dead set for it and can stand the heat to stay in this kitchen where advice given and if not followed will lead to consequences possibly down the road then we got your back. We've got your back anyway but you will get the best care here if you can let us help you. If you're on the fence about it then there's no harm in waiting.

The absolute ultimate way to use steroids, if I could go back, would be to get to my absolute freakiest max natty self and only then introduce smaller strategic cycles with a dialed in PCT to save my fertility and HPTA amongst other systems.

I'll just finish off strong here too... 21 years old, first cycle, and 500mg... WAY overkill. And I would hate to see your estrogen levels on this if they weren't carefully kept in check to avoid some nasty side effects.

Thank you! and yes, even though i understand the consequences (as much as my 21 year old brain can lol) i am most likely than not determined to run this cycle, i just posted the log, not sure if it's proper though, as it's my first.

Ok I respect that. Then before I recommend a dose what is the ester of your Test you bought? Enanthate? Proprionate? Etc.

And more importantly for your log. To make life easy for you go to page 51 of my log. That's my latest log update and I am now off cycle, click here: https://www.evolutionary.org/forums...nomast-deca-dbol-cycle-journal.105881/page-51

That will give you an idea of the amount of info that's needed for us to help you best.

While I was on cycle here's a page out of my log with the log update including the gear breakdown and dosing info as well and it was the last day of injection hence finishing my cycle:

Your log would be best if it's presented with this much info so we can guide you best on your first cycle. Some logs are watered down more and simpler but my recommendation is to really dive into it as it keeps you accountable and motivated and I'd be very interested in following you along on your first cycle and helping out with any hiccups along the way.

Cypionate, i finished making the log and i think it's similar to what you just showed me, but it's awaiting aproval.

Like @HarleyGuy said - if you are deadseat going down this track we will give you advice. But I wish I had a physique like yours at 21 mate not many people your age look like that. I would flaunt your natty self until 30 before considering test.
But 250mg/week is a way better idea with an AI - 12 weeks - and make sure you PCT - you don't want to shut your balls down at such a young age before having kids etc.

I tested at 519 ng/dl, not extremely low but lower than i'd thought considering my habits are all very healthy and "high test promoting" everything else was practically perfect.
1. That number is great and your physique reflects that
2. As you yourself suggest it's too soon at 21

If you're dead set and have made your mind up and have your log ready then include 250mg TestC per week in it and order Aromasin (nothing crazy like letro) off of an approved source from here so you get real stuff. Post pics of your TestC as well and your Aromasin when it touches down.

I'll be waiting and look forward to guiding you through this!

Thank you! and yes, even though i understand the consequences (as much as my 21 year old brain can lol) i am most likely than not determined to run this cycle, i just posted the log, not sure if it's proper though, as it's my first.
just be aware of the blowback on your body. it doesn't matter if you are 18 or 80. anabolic steroids are serious hormones that come with risks @LiftingLarry

I don't take many pictures but these are the most recent i found.
welcome to the EVO family. a young guy like you should learn training/diet @LiftingLarry that will be the key so log it

@LiftingLarry You look fantastic. One of the best features you have is your arms. I can tell you have stocky build as well. You have the potential to go far in bodybuilding. Just make sure you do it the right way.

Bros. I think the misunderstanding people think you have to use steroids to bodybuild it's just not true. I lifted for many years before I even touched steroids. @LiftingLarry

@LiftingLarry I think you're getting some advice from some pretty heavy duty members and mods on here that you should consider brother. I am on board with their advice too. You really will end up thriving in the long run if you wait.

You’ve already got the vials. You’re probably going to do it. You will almost certainly be fine and get amazing results because you are already looking amazing.

My only warning is this: you WILL want to keep doing it. You will rationalize it however you have to to convince yourself that staying on and bigger blasts are the right thing to do. Just know that.

Please please please don’t be a post and ghost! Make your log! Let’s see what you can do!

This was well put. Especially the part about bailing on us. If you already have the vials then run it and start a log and let us help you.

And... yes it all starts here. No turning back now heh heh. I'm having post cycle withdrawal every day as we speak.

Welcome aboard and great physique especially for your age. Looks like you’ve taken very good care of yourself with you saying that your test is where it is. I would just continue naturally until it is needed.
