Veteran Log 16 week Summer Cut Cycle Log - closing 2025

42.5's on incline dumbbell for 11 with that tempo is big weight!
Yeah this exercise is moving well bro! Ill get a video up next rotation and ill reckon ill have the 45s even if it knocks the reps back a touch.
Nice full slow reps there mate! Pushed all out!
Everything is based on control and intent now. Took me a while to drop my ego and begin to build a proper training mentality. Work in progress as always but we a forever trying.

Ahh brother needed this one today. Feel spent as, been away on the border working away first 4 days straight in 35+deg lol.
Head is burnt from staring at the sun for days on end hahaha.
Did find an old school gym up there to get a few sessions in though. Also has a sauna at our accommodation so that was a cracker too. Kinda wanna buy one now. 4 weeks left in it brother just gotta keep on keeping on. Thanks my bro 🤝💙
 
Fuck bigg week away from work, found a gym up there and still got the sessions in. A couple of sauna runs of an evening too.

Was nice to get a bump up on weights still this far into my cut. Food is key now and is all locked in tight. Ill post up all my meals and the shift in macros for the day too.
Need to get some fire back in this log again lol. You know more then anyone the dedication to the logs of the members haha im getting there though. Thanks again brother 🤜🏼🤛🏼🔥

Nah not mixing it all all anymore, too hard not just for the macro tracking but makes it difficult to see if something is causing inflammation or bloat/bad digestion if im swapping meals all the time.

Now its the exactly same meal at the same time of day and we just drop some carb quantities depending on the day it is: high/med/low
Carbs maintain around my workout each training day though and drop in out some of the earlier meals.

Rest days i completely drop my intra workout as i dont need it and we taper back a percentage off each remaining meals for the day.
Bro consistently of the same meals and not macro swapping pays huge dividends

One thing u changed about six months ago was that and not having off plan meals and my ability to take weekly increases in calories and stay leaner keep rising

Sunday check in with the coach.
Food was locked in tight all week, didnt drift even in the slightest. Training took a little hit as i had missed a session due to work unfortunately however still gave it heaps on the days i got in there.
Was a little heavy this morning which was disappointing however still am the leanest i have been. Coach says stress this week is the playing factor on weight and to not even worry about the scales. Photos and measurements are the metrics from here on out.
We hold the line as is currently macros are where they need to be and training stays locked. Need to get some better sleep this following week, been shit working away and being away from the wife and kids and adjusting to the heat up where i was made rest a little tricky.

Current weight this morning was 86kg on the dot lol. Went all the way down to 81.7 after the first few weeks of this cut and now sitting at .7kg lighter then where i started though composition is completely different. Holding abs full time now and obliques are starting to show. So not too phased at the scaled and shows i have been able to hold muscle and maybe even put a little bit on.

Bg was a little high at 5.9mmol so will add in berberine to hopefully assist.

Took 3 bp test fasted this morning and we are still rock solid at 120/06 - 117/64 - 115/65

Will aim to get a comprehensive blood panel when work finishes for the year and stress drops off. Just to get a current indication of how we are sitting and what we can do moving foward.

Finally got here. Pb at 45 each and continue the road to 50s. I have to swap the focus between these and the chest press as if im balls to the wall before i get here im a little too spent to get this weight. Form is tight and moved it well, very happy.

Nah so i utilise a 12-8-3 rep structure to warm up a muscle group. 12 at 50%, 8 at 70% and 3 at 90-95% of my top working load. The last 3 reps simply prime me for the top weight and i give myself a reasonable rest period before i get to work. These are mainly at the start of working a particular muscle though. Once im warm i might only throw in 2 feeder sets just so i can prime myself and give better indication of what my working weight might be on the day for a particular exercise.

Yeah i used to run straight sets but reality is the sets at or closest to failure are the only true working sets. Exception would be intensifiers allowing you to push past failure through a different pathway eg. Dropsets, rest pauses.

Didnt think i had any money left by the time i got to the leg press but the mind does funny things. Mindset took over and the body had no choice but to listen. Back up to the 260kg for clean controlled reps with solid depth.

Walked out with my head held high for sure.

Very impressive lift mate. Have u tried putting 10kg plate on the sit on leg press. It helps to get bit more knee flexion.

Hit a PB here tonight, first time at 150, happy with that rom leaving all the tention on my hams.
Any lower and i get some transfer to my lower back.

Wasnt sure how i would go with these after the Rdls but the brained turn and just forced it. Got back to 260 and for my rep range too.


Wasnt expecting much after a long day on the water with my son and brother. But it all clicked into gear once i got in there. Got to Rdl's and flicked a switch, hit a PB at 150kg for 7 reps. Wouldn't mind slowing these down a little but will work on that next rotation.
Didnt think i had any money left by the time i got to the leg press but the mind does funny things. Mindset took over and the body had no choice but to listen. Back up to the 260kg for clean controlled reps with solid depth.

Walked out with my head held high for sure.
Perfect form on those RDLs bro. Great work with the PR!! No cheating at all
