Hey guys, I am a 200lbs 6’1” 37/male. I try to workout everyday, and my wife and I do eat healthy…. I used to be in amazing shape in my 20s, the past 6 years I have been really struggling tho, and last year I tried Peter MD. They prescribed me .35mg twice weekly. Although they were legit, I felt crazy the first 2 weeks on cyp. Felt like my BP was low yet I was having panic attacks all day with overwhelming feelings of nervousness, extreme anxiety, shortish breathing. I told them about it and they offered no assistance or help so I said F it and stopped. Of course the week I stopped I noticed I JUST started to feel great. But I had already had it in my mind to stop. The reason I wanted to start TRT was bc I had no libido, super fatigued, hot flashes in the night, fucking will tear up at any soft ass movie my wife is watching, a feeling of just no motivation to even do the things I enjoy, stubborn stomach fat, always irritable, I can’t even workout without wanting to take a nap, SUPER tired all the damn time. My total T levels are 280-340 depending on the time of day I get bloods, I still have all of these symptoms and im looking to give TRT a try again, except this time I was thinking of doing it myself. I got some para pharma prop in hopes that if I start to feel crazy sides again at least it will get out of my system quickly, I just want my life back, my life is great, I make good money, hot wife, decently successful…. I’ve talked with primary drs and they see nothing out of the ordinary in my bloods. Only thing I DO have is venous insufficiency in my lower legs, the valves in my legs don’t allow blood to flow back up properly so I wear compression socks which do relieve the pain. Look, I’m not saying T will fix everything, but I’m hoping for at least my fatigue and libido to improve so I can go hard in the gym and get my body back. I feel like a shmuck…. This has been a roller coaster and I really just am looking for real help. Been to primary care, and an urologists… Havnt tried an endo yet. Is the test prop ok for me to use as TRT? Pinning daily or EOD is fine, but what is a good starting dose to feel out how my body will react? I was thinking start at 5-8mg? But someone please chime in who knows more, I can’t seem to find much online on Prop. I’m also wondering how long after your first injection does your hematocrit start to be effected, I use Labcorp and can get any testing needed. Sorry for the long write up but l am pretty unsure of what to do and will really appreciate some feedback and help on the journey. Thanks guys. I hope I’m not the only one with a story like this lol. Feels like there is no relief in sight sometimes……. Thanks yall.

I added my last blood work results, this is what I used for Peter md. I will be getting more blood work within the next week or 2.

It’s my opinion that if cyp made you feel like that, prop would too. Trt can cause your blood to thicken, increasing your chance of blood clots. Is this something you want to do with the condition in your legs?

I believe that you can make this work for you, but you need to be patient, and careful.

If you’re talking .35 ml test cyp, that should be 70mg. Twice a week. So 140mg twice a week. Your test was certainly on the low end, but you weren’t able to stay the course long enough to test again and figure out if you had estrogen issues. This is tough, you know? There’s going to be some responses from more qualified people than me, but I’m curious if you’re taking anything like benzodiazepines or anti depressants. If you are, it’s my opinion that you just need to find a better doctor somehow. If you aren’t taking things like that, and you don’t think you need to, then *I personally believe* that you can get yourself sorted out and feel much better! Good luck!

I’m not on any benzo or anti depressants. Not really depressed like that, just friggin sluggish is a great word for it. And the dose was .35mg 2 times a week, so 140mg a week. I don’t smoke, drink, or do drugs at all. Non of it really makes sense to me to be honest.

Well that’s why I figured I would start with prop, incase it had the same effects I could stop and it would get out of my body quicker that E or C…. Because I feel like maybe some of those side I was feeling could have been myself psyching myself out that something was wrong. The week I stopped pinning I started to feel really good, which was my 2nd or 3rd week of injections. So I keep thinking maybe it took that long for my body to get used to the test and that’s why I started to feel good. I did used to get really bad panic attacks, although I Havnt had one in about 8 months now.
Well my hematocrit was good on my last blood test. I would definitely monitor it of course. But how quickly does test raise your hematocrit, after injection? Should I monitor it weekly?? I’m going to share the screenshots so you guys can see, thanks for the response dude, it helps a lot.

Test prop is not a good idea for you at all.

Cool! I have had panic attacks before. One so bad they sent me to the ER. But it’s been a very long time, like 15 years, and using testosterone hasn’t been an issue at all, it seems to keep me pretty chill! I’m just a high strung person and at that time there were bad people in my life and a lot of stress.

It’s all going to make sense in time I think. You’ll like logging. You need this👍

Train less. Like 5 days or fewer

you need to be working with a REAL DOCTOR who is an expert on endocrinology and a cardiologist. you are opening yourself up for blood clots here.

peter MD is not a real doctor. its sort of a scammer if you ask me. they don't care about your long term health

Thanks yall.

a lot of time TRT doesn't solve everyything. @Makinbones88 sounds like you have multiple issues. you should see a specialist

bros you should watch that. low WBC can mean something serious like cancer even
Well I did ask about i. Dr compared it to other blood tests said it isn’t something to worry about. He said I’m slight anemia but said I need to get on a multi vitamin so that’s what I did. I’ve had so many blood tests and other tests man. They can’t find shit…. That’s why I’m so invested here…. I’ve tried Drs and tests only Dr I Havnt been to is an endo, which around where I live the waiting list is like 4 months

you need to start a log. there is a lot to go over. the one thing you can control is your lifestyle from here and we will help you

Maybe I browsed past it, but are you getting enough sleep? That’s ALWAYS the strongest lever I pull. Not enough sleep screws my blood pressure all to hell. Ruins my physical performance, motivation, recovery. And like, I know you said that you’re only getting half assed workouts in, but five days a week. Well, you really seem like, for whatever reason, you aren’t fully recovering. Your symptoms describe stress to me.

I will agree with that. My sleep is trash dude. I need to lay my ass down at 8 because I’m out the door by 5am….. most nights I wake up in the middle of the night with hot flashes which are super annoying. Even when I do get 8 hrs I never feel like I’m getting a deep restful sleep. I got tested for sleep apnea and they said I’m good. My wife has sleep apnea tho lol

Tbh I would sell to fix this by any means and I would do so before I do anything else. I say that because I tried everything before I came to the conclusion that sleep was the key to everything.

I’m not above using things like CBN, melatonin, I even had a prescription for trazadone. Did the sleep study too.

I’ve gotten completely off caffeine, but never permanently. Changed all the lights in my house. I have a red light in my room for at night. Blackout curtains.

There are apps for background noise that are awesome if you can’t schedule silence. The one I use is called “portal”. Your exposure to light and dark and your circadian rhythm is way more powerful than people want to admit. If you don’t believe it go camping in the north woods, far away from artificial light. Somewhere you can see aurora borealis and the Milky Way. You’ll sleep like you’ve been drugged. I’ve had the opportunity to relive this experience many times because of all the storms I’ve gone to work for.

This is good info right here. I used to sleep so good in the little town I grew up in, ever since I moved to a big city in MA my sleep has been not great. I have to sleep with ear plugs in bc of the upstairs pounding on the floor at night, which may have a lot to do with shit sleep every night, sounds like a elephant walking up there lol. I think you are hitting a good place for me to start, but the melatonin, and trazadobe leave me feeling REALLY groggy when I wake up, like hungover type. I was thinking of trying a smaller dose of melatonin. And I will definitely download that sleep app you mentioned. Thanks for pulling this up.
you need to be working with a REAL DOCTOR who is an expert on endocrinology and a cardiologist. you are opening yourself up for blood clots here.
woah…. Blood clots??? I agree that an Endo would be beneficial, except getting into one is a very different story. I have an appointment with on for Feb 2026….. like that’s ridiculous. I went to a vein specialist 2 years ago for my legs getting swollen. She said I have venous insufficiency, which runs on my mother’s side. They did an ultrasound and checked for clots in my legs on both sides from my hips down. I have also had an echocardiogram done within the past 6 years which came out clear…..I’d like to get another one. But would a low does TRT really cause blood clots? If so why do so many guys do it? I don’t want to add more issues, I’m looking for relief not to add an issue. I’m not trying to run a cycle, just to get my levels up and see if it gives me some relief from 1 or 2 of the symptoms I’m facing.

i'm not trying to scare you. but when you start messing with hormones while having preexisting conditions your chance of illness is very high

Nah man. I actually appreciate it…. Youre looking out…… So, If I monitor my hematocrit and do some basic bloods every 2 weeks would that be enough to catch anything before it causes an issue? If all goes well then great, if it starts doing some damage, then I just stop…. Using Prop, it should get out of my system pretty quickly if I stopped it. Right? And I’m only talking about a low dose until I know how my body will handle it…… I was even considering using a cream to start with…. Legit ones are impossible to find tho lol

you don't need to do bloods every 2 weeks. the main thing you can do is get healthy first before you go blasting hormones is my advice.

We need to move this conversation to your log

Many have preexisting conditions, you just need to take it slow.
