Didn't quite get the sleep I'd have liked, but a late gym session usually leads to a late night.
Wife was stil a bit unwell on waking,
Left her to sleep in a bit, Chilled with the younger kids, And thankfully she woke up feeling better.
I decided to get a run in during the day and skip Football training, just so it was an easier afternoon for the wife incase the illness flared up again..
And what a run it was,
I set out for 10km,
And ran it in a Personal Best time of 46m51s (4m41s/km ave)
Beating my previous best by 2minutes 18seconds, which I ran during my Marathon prep.
I ran a negative split 5km, (which means my 2nd 5km was faster than my 1st 5km)
First 5km - 23m 43s (4m45s/km)
Second 5km - 23m 09s (4m38s/km)-(My 2nd fastest ever 5km time)
For context my my standalone 5km PB is 22m 42s (4m32s/km) which I haven't tried in over a year.
So it looks like a 5km time trial is on the cards.
Strength is going up,
Aerobic fitness is going up,

Bit of a weird night,
Ended up on the couch for the first time in awhile thanks to the toddler,
Then the fkn robot vacumn decided to randomly start as myself and the toddler dozed off to sleep
Semi-early wake with the kiddos,
Chilled out,
Then wife got up for the tag and I jumped into bed for an hours nap
Fresh haircut again today then off to the gym for the pre-game priming session, they feel really good, nice and quick.
Cruisy afternoon, until I had to finally make the flatpack book shelf thing for the kids room2hrs later haha
Actually threw on "The Boys" after seeing a bit about it and was told to watch it by my barber.
Not a bad show thus far

Went with a 2.5g Sodium Bicarb, 2.5g Potassium Bicarb, 1.5g Salt, mixed in 1L water today which I sipped on the 90minutes prior to my game,
Think the levels are okay,
Didn't have any stomach issues,
Nor any feeling flat etc during the game/end.
We got up and won by 60 points,
Bringing our W:L to 3:2 for the season after starting 0:2, a solid turnaround.
I didn't kick a goal, or get in the best players,
But what can you do,

Woke up wondering if I'd just simply not woken up to him and the wife had it under control,

Cruisy day at work, had a few interesting incidents but nothing unusual, for the line of work,

Hit a new re PB on the Box Squats - 140kg for 10, final set, not long ago that was my 2-3rep max,
As you can see by the training they werre super set with stand still Box Jumps, heights as follows.

I've decided to put my Mots-C, Carderine and Slu-pp-332 on pause for a bit,
And might just stagger them back in over time,
I was only using them for a month,
But the last couple weeks had felt like they weren't really achieving anything,
Probably pulling too many levers,

Lazy day all round until football training came about,
But being a Thursday even that was pretty low intensity.
I've decided to put my Mots-C, Carderine and Slu-pp-332 on pause for a bit,
And might just stagger them back in over time,
I was only using them for a month,
But the last couple weeks had felt like they weren't really achieving anything,

When I was playing competitively I could handle getting beaten by a better team if we, and myself, played well. I hated losing where you lost and played badly. It was always my mental check list whether we we were beaten or lost.
Flip side I took no real satisfaction out of winning and playing like shit either.

Was was unfortunately feeling a bit "blah" again, gave her a few extra hours sleep.
Coffee run with the toddlers,
Then relaxed for the morning,
Headed off to gym,
And as the way its been going lately,
Stepped off program for one of my lifts,
And went for an AMRAP of 100kg Bench,
And actually hit a lifetime rep PB of 9,
Pretty stoked with it not going to lie,
When I did 8 reps I was roughly 100kg BW, so to get 9 reps this much lighter body weight, when I don't actively train flat bench all that often was pretty sweet.

Set out for a run today,
I had planned to do 15km since last week,
As a bit of a test as to where I'm at,
I hit a 15km PB, (not a distance frequently ran)
But I didn't even really push that hard,
First 12km @ 5m30s km ave
Final 3km @ 4m55s km ave,
Shows levels to my fitness,
To send it home after pre fatiguing the body.
If you see by my splits (will be posted under the run) I have solid pacing,
And ran conservetively to bring it home the final 3km.
If I was in a "race" I probably would have sat at roughly 5m km ave
Was a nice run to be honest,
Have missed these bigger ones.

Just couldn't fall asleep properly,
And then throw in a mix of the kids alternating wake ups, was a short nights sleep.
Slow boring day at work.
Into a slow cruisy afternoon that rolled into football training,
Wasn't too bad,
Legs definitely feeling the effects of the 15km run followed by the gym session the day after,
Game day this weekend against the bottom placed team,
Can't be complacent however,
But here's hoping we can pull together a solid team outing and get the W.
