I think everyone should strive for something in between the two. Look at Lee labrada. He had plenty of muscle mass but was extremely aesthetically pleasing also. I strive for both. I want to look good but I don't want to be a skinny guy with good abs eitherm

stop dating girls... go for the 35+ crowd. problem is you have a lot of crazy in you and you are young yourself so of course those are the chicks that you are going to meet. i'm being serious. big difference between 20 and 30.. and huge difference between 20 and 40. too many young guys think they have to get married and have kids at 25.. bullshit. you can worry about that well into your 30's and 40's. by then you will know what you want and can find mature women

You're right. I wanted marriage at 18 lol then got married while in the army at 25 and divorced at 26. First kid at 28 and then a second at 29 and still fighting with their 23 year old mother to this very afternoon lmao! I'm still young, getting crazier by the day, and yet more enlightened by the hour, as well as more paranoid by the minute. At this point my life goals are to stay sane, protect and raise my boys well, and stay out of jail without getting cancer.

Although I don't even date. Haven't in a couple years. Romance is not on my priority list unless you mean fucking, doing a bowl and parting ways to go eat lol

Back to the actual thread-subject ...

It has always been a tough one for me. At times I think 'that's it, dirty bulk and wet compound time' and I want to grow like shit, see if I can max out at 300lbs after 2 years. Other times I feel like running the dry compounds and leaning out down to around 185 (but this usually hurts my joints like you would not believe). So, I have decided to run more wet than dry and go more for your Roger Estep type look ... I love that look. It just says enough.

I hear ya bro. Anytime I get under 10% I'm hungry all the time and feel as though I've got no energy. At 10% I've got slightly visible abs, although I'm more interested in performance than aesthetics.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but you must not be using your calipers correctly. You are a long way from 10% bro. You look much closer to 15% to me. 10% is a lot more ripped than most people think. You should have striations and good vascularity at 10% with noticeable defined muscle separation at every muscle group
 
Genetics man,

My quads/back get shredded out long before my abs/serratus really come in - whereas my training partner has potato legs until the single digits, but his abs pop around 12%
 
People carry fat in different areas more than others from their genetics, which is true but you guys are missing the picture here. When you look at a picture of someone you can get a rough idea of their bodyfat percentage regardless of genetics because you get the whole picture, and no way is that remotely close to 10% in any way, shape, or form.

Aesthetics for me.

As for bf%. A lot of people say they are 10% and are probably a bit higher. This is my below last time I measured I was 9.7%
