Really? I see a lot of celebrities leaving and moving to Vegas these days. They say the crime and taxes are outta control. Even Beverly Hills ain't safe anymore. Now you got the National Guard and Marines in LA. You must be up in NorCal right? I hear it's more chill up there
bros you watch too much tv. of course they only going to show the bad, never the good. it like saying canada all ice every time snowstorm. they don't show how nice canada during summer time

i'm in south cali.. i grew up in alabama. this is 1000% better
only thing about cali sucks some people here cocky and stuck up. but i met my wife here she asian and nice chick. LA a big place bros, it like an entire country. all kinds of people, all kinds of culture and different food. can go eat at chinese restaurant then next meal go eat at russian restaurant then go eat at Latin restaurant. all kinds of good food. of course you got bad parts and good parts. Vegas a shit hole, nobody want to live there man unless you like strip clubs and gambling. i hate that place everytime i gotta go there for work. it literally a city in middle of desert lol and most people there high on drugs or alcohol. not a good place for peaceful life, it a place for debt and partying. good celebrities moving there who are braindead, i wish they would go

Naw I'm in Ontario. We get like average rain and snow here. The coastal parts of BC are crazy rainy. I remember when I was in downtown Vancouver I was the only one that was walking with an umbrella in the rain. I look like such a tourist LOL. I look like such a tourist LOL
Ontario is a beautiful place to live. people are so friendly !

just hate the cold winters

So two things wrong with that statement in my case.

I live in Toronto, which they call New York of the north...everyone is very much not friendly lol. People used to be very friendly when I was younger but in Toronto the Canadian identity has been lost totally and it's like every other giant metropolitan city in the world. We're the 4 largest city in North America and the vibes are very much like New York just on a slightly smaller scale. The rest of Ontario is still Canadian and the people are really nice. Anywhere within an hour of Toronto is full of assholes

As for the cold, Toronto is the 3rd warmest city in Canada. Lake Ontario is a large warm lake and it protects us from the really cold weather most of the time. It still gets really cold from time to time but it's pretty manageable most of the time. Not this past winter, but the two before it snowed less than 10 times all winter. Global warming has been very good to us lol.

someone told me there was a city or airport over there that stays very warm even all winter. not sure if they were pulling my leg or what but makes sense.
you should take a pic of niagra falls for us

and i'm surprised toronto isn't nice.. curious to hear @Masonic Bodybuilder opinion on that too

Had some "rockfish" for dinner tonight. Being in central Canada the fish selection can be hit and miss so when we see something new we try it. Never had it before, don't know what it is, but my wife cooked it up and it was great. Maybe @stevesmi knows what a rockfish is?

Maybe the Toronto island airport? It's a small airport on a little island right at the bottom of downtown Toronto on the lake. Only small jets and prop planes can fly in and out tho. No big commercial stuff.

Niagara is almost 1.5hrs from Toronto, but next time I'm out there I'll definitely take some shots. I go there from time to time, but the city is a shit hole lol. Kinda like Vegas north. It has a nice strip then everything around it is all drug addicts and poverty.

@Masonic Bodybuilder lives in a place where the people are still nice for the most part. Although I'm sure even he will have noticed that his area is even less Canadian now than before and people just aren't quite as nice anymore.

Ya the windchill can get you by the lake but it rarely gets really really cold like other parts of Canada. In northern Ontario it gets so cold that your spit can freeze before it hits the ground lol. That's cold

Log Day 70

Thankfully I can say my recovery is back on point. It was pretty tough from the last week of May up until a week ago. I was in the last phase of my 8 week training cycle and pushing my limits. It's nice to wake up feeling refreshed in the morning again. I actually woke up well before my alarm today and my body just didn't need anymore sleep.

Got my low impact cardio in on the treadmill yesterday. Steps over 10k. I was listening to the EVO podcast and @stevesmi and @Mobster were talking about pull-ups are the secret to bigger arms. I always program pull-ups atleast once a week in every training cycle. What I'm going to do now is just hit random sets of pull-ups throughout the week. Maybe a set or two in the am, another set in the afternoon, just whenever I walk by my pull-up bar and I have time. Let's see how it goes. I've always been more focused on bringing up my chest and back that my arms are falling behind. Hopefully these pull-ups will be the key to some good arm gains.

Drugs are a big problem where I am at. I can't even go fishing at my favourite spot anymore because it has been taken over by a "tent city". Very similar issues here right now that you see going on in the US. Excessive immigration is one of them. I wish I could go into more detail but I don't want to risk offending people.

Amen bro. Atleast where you are still feels like Canada some of the time. Toronto is the least Canadian city in this country. I'm the only person on my street who picks up garbage on the road, follows city by laws, or shovels other people's driveways out when we get a load of snow. That used to be just what people do. You barely see guys holding doors for the elderly or women anymore. The amount of garbage you see everywhere, even in nice neighbourhoods is disgusting. I don't get why people just stopped caring.

Immigration used to be the greatest thing about our country. People coming from all around to world to become Canadian. Bringing the best of their culture but assimilating it with ours and bettering this country in the process.

Since Trudeau opened the flood gates we're getting the worst of the worst. This stupid loop hole to citizenship with these fake colleges. Bringing criminals and people with their problems and beefs from home here and now Canada suffering. Poaching wildlife, littering, historical ethnic infighting, etc...all the norm now. Somehow we just voted for 4 more years of this. I'm afraid of what could happen if the pendulum swings to hard in the opposite direction too. We used to be a country or centerists where liberal and conservative was determined by how much and where to spend the money. This polarization of everything in the world by social media is leading to polarized governments who ruin everything.

On a lighter note lol

We have an American sub chain call Jersey Mike's opening up locations around the city. They just opened one near me and everyone is raving about it. The wife and I are thinking about checking it out today.

Any of you guys familiar with Jersey Mike's and have any recommendations on what to get?
