"Dadbod" to Roman God! My TRT+ Journey

| 6th to 12th Jan 2025 | Life, Cycle & Workout Update |

LIFE UPDATE - LIFE & GYM
Evo Family, I don't have a gym membership atm and have no intention of getting one for the foreseeable future. But great news is that I have some equipment on the way, the new place has a room that will become our gym. This has made workouts pretty basic as I have very few items atm.

What do I have:
15 Rubber Mats
Dumbbells to 12.5kg
EZ Bar (10kg)
5kg plates
10kg plates
15kg plates

What is coming:

View attachment 69585

What other equipment would be needed in your opinion? Straight Bar obviously!

CYCLE UPDATE - LOGGING
@ez2plz | Vendor: House of Gains - Product: BiopoweRNA Test Depot & Primron
@Sydneycitysupplements | Vendor: Sydney City Supplements - Product: Pharmatides Aust. NPP & Anavar

I've recently added SCS's NPP, a new AAS for me, at 100mg per week, administered EOD (every other day). I'm administering NPP using a 29-gauge needle into the delts. It was slow to draw up, but that's expected since I'm using the smallest needle possible, and all oils tend to be slow to draw up. Administered with no issues, starting next week I think I will add this to the Primo/Test vile that I make up every 2 weeks.
I believe I've started to feel joint pain relief, just not in the back or hips, but it's still early days.
Right knee pain at full flexion under weight, so squats are ok and have minimal pain approaching the bottom of the movement, while pushing back up it is painful to start, but pain stops pretty quick.

BiopoweRNA Test Depot 250mg/ml @ 300mg per week
BiopoweRNA Primoron 200mg/ml @ 300mg per week
Pharmatides Aust. NPP 100mg/ml @ 100mg per week

BiopoweRNA Acirca (Tadalafil) 20mg Tabs @ 5mg per day
Pharmatides Aust. Anavar 50mg Tabs @ 25mg Pre Workout - Might move up on this!

WORKOUT UPDATE—WORKOUT

Longevity Workout: As above no gym atm, so been doing walks, sprints, and swims with the dogs fasted every morning. These are usually 20 to 30 minutes of activity and 10 minutes warm up/down each. Super casual but done each morning of the week except the weekends, where we just walk the beach and play fetch with the dogs.

This morning running into the water at the beach, until I tweaked a hamstring and crashed into the water! I'm limping, but it feels ok, so let's just give it some rest. So no swimming till that hammie feels better, I just walked it off with the dogs along the beach.

@juddy solid work here!

I’ve been looking for workout and meal prep videos this week, mostly using the audio as background while I work or handle tasks at the office.

Recently, I’ve developed a bit of a dislike for Mike Isratel. While it’s not as strong as my feelings toward Greg Doucette lately, there’s an arrogance to his approach that comes off as annoying.

At the moment, I’m trying to find “body doubling” content or full free-weight workouts I can follow along with while I wait to expand my equipment setup.

I’ve come across Chris Heria’s videos, and while his content looks promising, it seems more focused on calisthenics. I could be wrong since I’ve only seen a handful of his videos so far.

Suggestions?

@stevesmi @Mobster I've been smashing your podcasts recently between YouTube and Spotify. Thanks for the great content.

@juddy best is not to overthink training, in your situation cardio will be key and more of it. :D

I used to find Jeremy Either easy to listen to, has a masters in kinesiology also so he does have an educated idea. I don’t follow much on YouTube these days so sorry I can’t help with many suggestions.

I would suggest reading the logs on here. There are some excellent meal and training info.

Ty,

The topics vary and you two seem to play off eachother well, good listening.

I've been looking at a few, but get distracted too easily. Will keep looking.

Yeah, I hear ya. Thanks! I really do know that I need to loose weight, I definitely find running is out if the question due to back injuries so have maintain my morning cardio as walking, at pace tring to keep my heart rate up above 110 and below 130bpm.

Diet is likely where I'm failing too, I'm not being strict enough and honestly this week have not been able to stop eating, NPP?

walking up an incline on a treadmill is what you want to do, the easiest way. :D

On the food, if you can't control your cravings or appetite, consider using a GLP-1 peptide like semaglutide.

I can see eggs but rest of meal hard to understand, please tell us. :D
Have some Semaglutide on order and I'll add it back to the mix once here

Brekky today was a super simple meal, taking a non-stick small pie dish. I placed a single slice of ham down into the pie dish, cracked an egg, salt pepper to taste. Then I diced some portabello mushroom and cherry tomatoes on top of the egg and a small topping of Romano cheese grated over the cold dish. Then placed this into the air fryer for 20 minutes.

Once cooked I added a little BBQ sauce, taking care not to add too much. An after though is baby spinach would have worked too

I also had some baked beans with this as I was still hungry.

Both those two named are pretty much just working the algorithms. They both started out with solid content but quickly realized what they posted then got less views. So now it's just whatever 'sells'.

On training. I do what needs to be done. I've NEVER needed to find a special program for 'ideas'. Say I wanted better delts I'd see what the best for great delts is and do that. Ditto anything else. Plus we have done a few training talk shows so check them out

Riding a stationary bike or using a rowing machine but using less and arms only etc

Yesterday, I hit a milestone: EZ curl at 45kg (100lb) for reps!

I had been eyeing these two 15kg plates, and the idea of them on the EZ Bar had me feeling a bit nervous or silly. The bar itself is 15kg, and with the plates, the total is 45kg—over half my body weight.

Pump was great, ego was massive, sense of achievement was overwhelming.

Irukandji jellyfish, death is just a side effect of being stung. Oh we have 3 to 4 meter crocodiles libing here too, the larger ones are inland hitting 6 meters! Sharks.... yeah them too.

But if it's your time it's your time.

Yeah I agree, nothing more satisfying as finishing work and running 10km. Used to do 10km a day. Either as two smaller jogs or one. Back when Jack3d had 1,3 dmaa.

Haven't written much lately, took a photo this morning.

Can see any change but that's not the point, stevesmi or Mobster said reveals about being "naked" in you log... not literally naked, but in how we share....

Breakfast. Looks really good, man.
I actually like that. The berries are frozen when you're eating them.

Yes man, I agree with you.

These guys on social media are a joke.

My daughter found a blue ring octopus on our beach holiday last month (Western Australia). Small- about the size of the palm of your hand. Amazing to look at but has enough venom to kill 26 adults with a painless sting - so you don't even know you have been bitten - you just stop breathing. No anti-venom either.
Just another one of the things that want to kill you in Australia

Make sure you're doing plenty of stretching, gotta decompress that spine.

Especially with your history of back issues.

Thanks for taking the time to post up a picture of the bar and the weights. Makes me pumped up to go kill it.

Very pleased with what I'm seeing out of you.
Definitely, you're killing it and I'm glad that you are getting a nice pump.

@juddy welcome to the big boy club!

Sooo, I’ve injured my left forarm, not sure how. Its hard to grip things, hurts more prorated and grabbing than supernated and grabbing.

Picking up something I guess at work, just can't remember hurting it.
I've had that happen before many times. The worst part is not having any idea what happened. Hopefully it heals soon. Stretch and ice.

Yeah, had it a few years back on the other arm, going to strap it and stretching feels good.

Thanks man.

Hey Evo Fam,

Bit of an update (and maybe slightly boring) today! I’ve been keeping up with fasted cardio in the mornings, and it’s been such a solid way to kick off the day—feeling great.

I think I’ve injured my pronator teres (waiting on physio confirmation tomorrow), but the good news is I can still train with my EZ bar (since that’s all I’ve got), so I’ve been staying consistent and keeping at it.

The power rack order turned out to be a complete scammy deal. They advertised free shipping, but when I inquired about delivery times, they said it wouldn’t arrive until end of March or later, plus slapped on a $300 freight fee. After that, they tried upselling other products they had in stock. Honestly, it feels like Ritkeep doesn’t even have a proper office in Australia—maybe just a single warehouse—and they’re trying to run some drop-shipping style setup here. It doesn’t work. Communication was terrible, and their emails felt like they were written by someone who had no idea what was going on. Just my experience, though—yours might differ!

On a brighter note, I’ve managed to snag a bench and am still on the hunt for more equipment. Definitely not spending a fortune on the local gym—it’s just not good enough for what I need.

Lastly, I’m feeling a bit heavier but still averaging 88kg over the week. Staying on track! My arms are fuller and un pumped now fill my work shirt sleeves so that is another confidence booster too!

Diet update: it’s been boringly consistent, but it’s working!
  • Breakfast: Baked beans, coffee and leftovers if any.
  • Lunch: Salmon and salad, and beef jerky for a snack, after lunch.
  • Dinner: Prepared frozen meals.
  • Added a 4th meal: I’ve cut out dessert and added this because I’ve been waking up hungry. It’s usually Greek yoghurt, fruit, and granola with some honey for taste.

Lastly, I’ve started increasing my NPP from 100mg/week to 175mg/week to help with progress. Staying consistent and only moving things slowly 💪.

Have bloods from last month, will update my spreadsheet soon and will have this months bloods taken tomorrow.

Will sort out bloods soon to post too

@juddy sorry about the power rack but at least you got a bench bro ;) let me ask you, you doing training natty? push ups, squats, planks?

food seems good you cut out desert bro but AM can you do oatmeal with eggs for breakfast or as aussies called it "Breky" right

Here, let us know what the doctor tells you.
Those types of injuries are quite common.

I think I had a similar injury years ago when I was Cheerleading.

Some girl fell on my arm when I threw up in the air.

Can you dispute the charge on your credit card for that scam?

Seems very scamming to me as well.

It's very expensive to ship weight training equipment.

I remember I had to pay a fortune to ship some rubber weights to me.

It's always best to buy used equipment.
When you buy it new online. It's extremely expensive and a rip-off.

A lot of times people will be willing to part with their training products for very cheap.

They just want to clear room their house.

Sorry to hear that, you may have gotten scammed.
It seems like they probably never had the stuff even in stock and just sold it to you anyway.

$300, just to ship. The product is a waste of money.

I would tell them to cancel it and refund you and if not, I would call my card company .

Thanks, yeah, all done! Got my refund, but it still feels like a big L.

It is brutal dealing with companies like that.
Yeah, true. Funny enough, I’ve become far too accustomed to it.

A lot of times people will be willing to part with their training products for very cheap. They just want to clear room in their house.
100%, brother!

I'm fine with second-hand gear, just not a lot available since our town is seasonal. Should be good in 9 months!

Agree.

I wish I could say the same.... alas it was just a common over exertion.

Evo Fam,

Life threw a few curveballs my way this week, and as a result, training had to take a back seat. Between travelling by plane and supporting my wife through a serious illness, I simply didn’t have the capacity. And you know what? I’m okay with that. I’m not chasing massive gains or trying to break world records—I’m here to build a stronger, healthier version of myself. Progress isn’t about perfection; it’s about staying on track despite life’s setbacks.

This week, I had to cut a work trip short when my wife was rushed to the emergency department due to complications from an ongoing pilonidal abscess issue. I managed to book the earliest flights home and got back as quickly as possible. Thankfully, after three days in hospital, her condition stabilised, and the surgery was cancelled. However, with no MRI machine here, the doctors won’t proceed unless the situation becomes life-threatening. The abscess settled with a hefty dose of antibiotics but is still weeping and making life miserable.

I hadn’t planned on training but hit the hotel gym for a quick pump before catching up with friends on Saturday passed. Honestly, though, I wasn’t really feeling it.

BLOODS - and future thoughts

The full blood panel couldn't be completed as the samples were tested more than 72 hours after collection. I believe this delay impacted the haemoglobin results, as the rest of the HAEM MASTER HAE-0 panel was also not completed. Currently, I am on 300mg Methenolone (BioPoweRNA Primoron) per week, in addition to Testosterone. After reviewing my historical data, I feel the haemoglobin reading is not accurate due to the compromised testing conditions.
E2 was elevated last month, so I took a single 10mg of Aromasin (Thanks to R&D Pharma for fast shipping and awesome service! @DofRandD) about a week after the bloods were done. I held off taking more because I was concerned it might crash my E2 levels—and it looks like I was right. Three weeks later, my E2 is sitting at 64 pmol/L.

I've decided to pare back the dosages for a while. Over the last month, I’ve experienced some emotional instability—more frustration than anger—which I suspect is due to the NPP, but could also be life being stressful. My plan is to finish the current supply, take a short break, and then restart NPP at a higher dosage to see if that helps.

I’ve also been considering dropping testosterone to around 150-200mg per week while keeping Methenolone at 300mg to see how that balance feels. I'm still undecided, but since I’ve had minimal side effects overall, I’m starting to believe that consistent EOD (every-other-day) injections are more important than we often give them credit for.

On another note, I have some Semaglutide on hand and will start using it again. Lately, I’ve been eating at all hours of the night and constantly feeling hungry. My weight is currently sitting between 86 and 88kg, which I’m happy with, but I’d like to trim some fat off my gut.

@AE1079 Were you looking for evidence that Methenolone can help control E2? I believe the trend below suggests that it does to some extent. Since increasing my Test from TRT to TRT+ dosages, E2 has remained generally controlled, which seems to align with the introduction of Methenolone.

@juddy yes life can have a real issue for all of us bro ;)
but training doesnt have to be 2 hours in the gym you know?
50 push up
50 squats
50 sit ups
5 min planks
you can do that at home or ANY place you're at bro thats the spirit that will push you thru this

bloods hard to say, you still on gear but you probably should go back down to just testosterone pure TRT if you aint training too miuch

Hopefully, your wife will be okay, that's definitely something very serious.

Glad she got to the hospital and got good care.

Yeah, definitely you want to watch out for infections. The antibiotics will help.

Try to make sure you don't overeat, especially right now,

sometimes the brain can play tricks on us when it comes to hunger.

Try drinking some water if you feel hungry and see if that helps.

Life will do Life, thanks all.

Try to make sure you don't overeat, especially right now,
Thanks, yeah trying to limit food while not being as active as I have.

I believe there was a pro bodybuilder in the past year who had a similar medical issue and it ended up becoming a major problem so definitely don't neglect it
Cheers man, yeah this has been a 3 year thing, many surgeries. Hygiene hygiene, hygiene...

But yeah you're right about just being active, thanks man will actually incorporate this on days when I'm not active.

Make sure you get it checked out and taken care of man.

LIFE UPDATE - LIFE & GYM

Well, that was a hell of a few weeks.

Back from working away, and the universe decided to throw a little cyclone into the mix. If you’ve never experienced what it’s like living in a remote part of Australia when the weather decides to go full chaos mode—imagine being completely cut off. We're located along a national hwy, so one road in and one road out.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-02-15/ex-tropical-cyclone-damages-carlindie-homestead/104941200

🚧 One road washed out.
🌊 The other road flooded.
🍽️ No food deliveries, no mail, no nothing.

For more than a week, we were in full-on survival mode. I wouldn’t say we were down to eating shoe leather, but let’s just say our usual high-protein and fresh produce diet took a bit of a hit. Luckily, we had a decent stash in our emergency kit and plenty of frozen meat and veggies, so we were doing alright—definitely better off than some.

And thanks to COVID, we never gave up our bidet, so toilet paper? Not even a problem.

Good news is with no freight I had no work, the dogs have been out and about in the rain and wind, with most days consisting of jogging for 10 minutes and the walking for 30.

The Dogs, Wife and I survived, and now that things are opening back up again, I’m getting back into routine.

CYCLE UPDATE - LOGGING

Titrating Down – I started reducing dosages after some concerns with blood pressure, paranoia, and anxiety.

No joke, felt seriously off. Out of character. Noticed my BP creeping up, and at times I was way too on edge for no reason. I don’t mess around when it comes to health markers, so I made the call to pull back.

Current Cycle Adjustments:

  • Test Depot Dropped to 160mg per week (from 300mg)
  • Primobolan Dropped to 160mg per week (from 300mg)
  • NPP 1 → REMOVED
  • Tadalafil @ 5mg/day – Keeping this in.
  • Anavar – Not used

BLOOD PRESSURE & HEALTH CHECK

BP Concerns:
Previous Week High BP: 140/80 (hypertensive)
This week’s average BP: 145/85 – Not happy with this.

Even at lower doses, I’m still borderline hypertensive, which tells me my BP medication might need adjusting, increase fluids and getting rid of some blood.

Next Steps:

  • GP appointment booked to discuss statins & BP management.
  • Monitoring BP daily before deciding on any cycle adjustments.
  • More cardio & hydration – Been a little slack here, time to clean that up.
Anyone else had issues with blood pressure creeping up on cycle, even at moderate doses?

Also, for what it's worth @ez2plz has been right here all along helping with solid advice and pushing me in the right direction behind the scenes while I was experiencing a bit of a freak-out about the paranoia and anxiety. Solid effort, and simply I'm thankful for having his ear.

Quick Update – 24th Feb 2025

Pin Day today: Waiting until after the draw to pin. Running down my pre-mixed BiopoweRNA Primo & Test at a 1:1 ratio (not volume), aiming for 160mg per week, administered Monday/Thursday.

Food Plan for today

You really need to start working on cleaning up your diet @juddy
can we get oatmeal in AM instead of beans? oatmeal and eggs
bangers and mash?

Thanks Lev,

I really like that you're always looking out for me with the food. My reasoning follows:

I don't see my diet as something that will change significantly right now. If anything, I feel that I don't eat enough, but I am seeing body fat dropping and look to be gaining muscle slowly, this is where I feel the best atm.

I have oats and yogurt here, I often mix them with frozen fruit and have them for brecky or as a snack. Yogurt and muslie mix (with oats) is a go to along with mixed nuts for quick hunger relief. I just don't include every meal I have during the week, but I'm eating that muslie.

Baked beans are a great source of fibre and cheap. Eggs are on the menu, but hard boiled and eaten cold usually, none last week as there was no food in the shops.

The bangers and mash is a frozen meal, HERE and are great nutrition and size wise. Again another cheaper option as I buy bulk when on special, I cannot cook a meal for $6 so I consider this a win.

Thanks for being interested, and yeah I got the month wrong on that post, I cannot change it now :(

This seems to be an issue with mostly upper body, you been doing legs or cardio? @juddy

Thanks, Lev, I've taken time off most things, dropped back all my PEDs. I'm still eating well and doing passive activities where I can, but I cannot hold 5kg in my hand, so can't even pick up a bar at the moment.

But yeah cardio is fine and is part of my daily activity, usually I get in 20 to 30 minutes before breakfast each day. Physio tomorrow!

Also have a massive install tomorrow morning, so trying to find ways of lifting motors into place using racket straps!
