Shoulder press just checked 40kg any issues with pain?

Shoulder press is ok with Smith machine above head more pain when trying to bring db from lap to above shoulder that movement isn't great if I start with weights above all good minimal pain

If you have tightness from shoulder presses, I would go with very light weight and squeeze.
