Hey Everyone
Firstly just wanted to say I fuck with the energy everyone has here, I was on Reddit before trying to learn some things and the responses were terrible (if people even responded). From what I've seen on here after reading threads for a few days everything is so much better and everyone has good knowledge.

A little introduction: I'm a 20yr old (almost 21) from New Zealand, I've been into the gym seriously since I was 16 where I used it for sport; however now I have a passion for it. Both power lifting (usually for my own mental), and body building (I'm aiming to compete with my girlfriend sometime). I like to think I'm fairly knowledge on the gym for my age, having successfully cut, bulked, progressed, and having read multiple studies around working out. Now I'm looking at potentially taking things to the next level with the possibilities of performance enhancers.
I'm currently 90kg at 6'2.

There's a few things I'm aiming to get out of this post
1. A stronger understanding of performance enhancers (as they're one part of the gym I've never learnt at much depth)
2. Is it feasible at my age, and in my current position to use any of these (both for strength and muscle gain, and for potential body building)
3. What would all of you recommend? As you all are much more knowledgeable than myself.

Please feel free to ask anything or ask for more information. I'm here to learn.

Cheers all.

My suggestion would be to wait until you’re older.

You’re still too young, in my opinion.

If you’re deadset on being enhanced, I would start with injecting L-carnitine daily for 6 months.

That would give you an idea on the reality of the enhanced life.

Hey brother! Welcome to Aus! My missus is a Kiwi as well. I'm yet to visit NZ, but it's on the top of my list. Where in NZ are you from?

Before I can help with your cycle design I will urge caution as @Nasser1997o2. This could be a life-long commitment.

What's your goal here brother? Sport specific? Bodybuilding? Strength?
Do you have any bloodwork I could see?
What does your nutrition currently look like?

Just to help me get a bit of an outline so I can help you.

@LevButlerov

Hey mate,

20 is very young to start, I would not advise at all, you havent even finished developing.

Not that many of us where, but I doubt very much at 20 your even close to your genetic ceiling.

There is a whole host of issues that come from starting that young.

Not to gatekeep at all, as you are on a steroid forum, but you will find majority here wont be supportive of a 20 year old jumping on.

Welcome to EVO @CrushTheLimit. As other have pointed out you are too young to mess with hormones. Your body and brain have not fully developed yet. You don't want to mess with that and have to live with possible consequences for life. Take a few more years to build a solid base before even thinking about using gear. You have a lot of natty gaines left to be had. This is not a race. Building muscle takes time.

@s.gentz @Dreamer @R.AP @Nasser1997o2 Thanks all for your replies. I was wondering about the response I would get as I've heard a fair amount about people starting too early. I appreciate all the real responses from you all, I definitely won't rush into things.

From what youre all saying it sounds like the age that you start taking it drastically affects alot of things. Are the risks and chances of bad side affects increased when you take steroids at a younger age? If so, do any of you have any natural tips that could help me as i feel like I've been at a plateau for a long time. Again, I appreciate all the replies.

@R.AP Hey brother, I stayed in Aussie for awhile when I was younger. Mean to meet another brother. I'm from Auckland, where abouts is the missus from, and wheee abouts are you in Aus?

With your comment about life long commitments, I hear you, but I've also had a lot of mixed stories of people both being on it for life, and hopping off sfter a cycle of two, what's your experience with this?
Goals wise I'd say muscle gain and strength, and a little bit sports specific, as I'm a rugby player (tore my meniscus twice last year and really struggling to get my gains back in my quads) but that's just a hobby now so powerbuilding is my goal.
Haven't had blood work before but I'm looking into it, especially if I decide steroids are an option.
My nutrition is pretty solid, especially when I'm dialed in with a goal, mostly Whole Foods, Oates, meats, rice, the basics. I'm looking at hopping on a bulk in the near future.

Hope some of this helps.
Cheers again

As I said above, your brain/body are not done developing yet. Your not fully developed until your late 20's. You could do one cycle and not recover properly and you will be in a worse position then when you started.
You say you have hit a plateau. Why not start a log so we can see what you are doing and what can be improved. There is a lot of BB knowledge here and we are all willing to help.
At 20yo with maybe a couple years of training you haven't built the proper base yet. If you start taking gear without that base you just renting muscle while your on and you will lose it in PCT.

From my experience. I experimented with supressive compounds when I in my early 20s and regreted the decision.

Do not supress your system at such a young age.

Look into to
L-carnitine
Amino acids am
Amino acids pre workout
Amino acids intra workout
Amino acids post work out
Amino acids pm

Amino acids are the building blocks for protein

Look into natural testosterone boosters
Boron

Ashwagandha – may reduce stress & cortisol, which indirectly helps testosterone; some studies show modest increases.
Naturem.us - Nature's Remedy
Fenugreek – may raise free testosterone and improve libido/performance in some studies.
Healthline
Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia) – traditional herb with some human data showing modest improvements in T and libido.
Naturem.us - Nature's Remedy
Zinc (mineral) – essential for testosterone production, especially if deficient.
Naturem.us - Nature's Remedy
Magnesium – similarly supportive if your intake is low (often paired with zinc in “ZMA”).
D-Aspartic Acid – some evidence of boosting T in short-term use, more in low-T individuals.
Limited / Mixed Evidence
Tribulus Terrestris – may increase libido more than testosterone itself, but some studies show modest effects.
Thomson Scientific
Shilajit / Fadogia agrestis / Mucuna pruriens – traditional herbs with early data but limited well-controlled human studies.
Gymaholic
Maca root – supports libido and well-being, but doesn’t reliably raise testosterone in trials.

Hello,

I agree with every one else on the cautions!

I would also say everyone is different I did a enhanced body building show at 20 ( I regret it but I did ) I feel I would be further along now if I didn’t ,

posting pictures would really help if your advanced and have alot of muscle and a good base and low bf% then it is some thing you could look at if your dead set on the lifestyle and competing

But if your just a life style user, your no where near your natural potential and not a low bf % I would say there is zero need for a cycle .

It is a life long commitment depending how much you use and how you react you may end up on trt for life ( as in my case ) and I’m okay wit that but it is a commitment

And your going to do what your going to do regardless but posting some pics to gauge your level of fitness and body composition would really help and there are safe and bad ways to do anything

But I agree starting with some l carnatine , b12 etc little injections to see what your getting your self into is a good think to even start just to see if your gonna be commitment and organized and structured enough to complete a cycle

If I can be of any help please let me know

Him commenting on “brain” is great to see it’s not only the physical I may start a thread on here talking about mental sides of steroids. It’s one us men don’t normally talk about .

But it’s real, some of them have caused me to have crazy anxiety , paranoia , sleep issues etc , plus they are hormones at end of the day your brain is as effected as your body is. Those some times are worse .

At a young age it’s hard to comprehend that and it was some thing I wish people explained to me.

A bad cycle can cost you relationships, jobs etc. I’ve seen it happen to many .

Again your going to do your own thing .

But at a young age I feel the mental aspect is over looked, plus the the inevitable body dysmorphia 😂😂

No doubt man. Mental sides on a brain that is not fully developed could stay with you for life. It will alter the way your brain finishes developing.
The morons on social media never talk about that.

Firstly just wanted to say I fuck with the energy everyone has here,
I think this is a good thing lol. I'll reply in the same vein (how I usually talk in real life ha ha). There's no damn way I'll recommend a 20 year old (the 'almost 21 year old' thing sounds like you wanna be old enough but KNOW you aren't) using

Use the time now, viz your point 1, to learn. We've a fkin ton of legit info here
eBook: https://irongorillas.com/
Articles: https://www.evolutionary.org/steroids/
Podcasts (inc shows on being too young): https://www.evolutionary.org/podcasts/

And the other tabs too

The guys have you covered on the why. Note we do NOT always agree but, thus far, we ALL do, Wait

Appreciate all the realness, most of the guys I've talked too in person seem to forget all the negatives when they're talking to me about it, temptations increase when all you hear is the good shit. Thanks all for your wisdom, I'll be listening to the majority advice as like @Mobster said, if 5+ guys can all come to the same conclusion theres probably some truth there + will definitely be using those resources you mentioned bro.

@JuiceyBrucey007 @jerseyshoremuscles appreciate the comments, are the aminos and b12 injections, as well as the supplements mentioned something that could genuinely help me, with limited or no side affects, from my small exposure to the fitness business I've learnt that usually anything that has drastic impacts on your muscle growth or strength, and so on, usually has side affects (such as steroids or sarms). Would you recommend the injections from a growth standpoint, or is it more to see how I would react to a commitment like you said.

@s.gentz a log would be a great idea, are there any threads I can look at explaining how to best go about logging.

are there any threads I can look at explaining how to best go about logging.
You would just start a new thread with the word "log" in it and the mods will get you set up.
If you look in my signature you will see multiple logs I have done over the last few years. You are welcome to use the format for your own or look at any of the threads labeled "approved log" and you can see how other do it. Whatever works best for you. It's great to have everything in one place so we can guide you and/or answer any questions you have. Let me know if I can help further.

@LevButlerov-Look out for @CrushTheLimit log.

welcome to the EVO family :D @CrushTheLimit Good attitude and goals, but right now we honestly do not know enough about you to give cycle advice that would actually help you.
Before talking aas you need a proper pre-cycle log with training split, lifts, bodyfat estimate, diet macros, sleep, steps, supplements, and bloodwork so we can see how you are responding naturally.
At your age especially, guessing without a log is how people mess things up early, and the EVO family works best when we can see real data over time.
Start a log now, run it clean for a few weeks, and then we can have a serious discussion about whether enhanced routes even make sense for you yet and what direction fits your goals. 15min of your time to start.

HOW-TO LOG?

Why is a Log Journal important?

  • Doing a log will actually help you way more than just dropping random updates. When you lay it all out week by week you start to see patterns in your body that you won’t catch otherwise.
  • Other guys here run logs all the time and there’s no privacy issue, nobody is asking for your name or anything personal, it is just training, diet, and how the compound feels.
  • The feedback you get is also way better because people can follow along and spot things you might miss. It also helps the next guy who is thinking about running the same compound so you are giving back while you learn.
  • Even if you think you might not stick with it, just starting the log makes it easier to come back and add quick notes. That way you get more out of what you are running instead of keeping it all in your head.

To really guide you we need more info from you:
  • Please share your diet, training, cardio, sleep, supplements etc log with us in a NEW thread, full log journal so our guidance is based on facts you provide.
  • It will take 15-20 minutes max.
  • We have 100s of years of experience between us, so you need to post a LOG Journal with your stats (weight, height, age, years training, cycle history) diet, training, cardio, supplement, sleep details. If you don't log what you eat or train now, open NOTES on phone and start recording it there and paste here. Very easy.
  • Please post a Log Journal asap for us

I personally would suggest just waiting until after you have kids man.

People say you can maintain or restore your fertility with PCT.

But take a look at the logs and you’ll see heaps of people running “fertility logs” and having to jump through hoops to conceive.

I personally ran stuff too early, and then had to pay for IVF, that didn’t work. I gave up, but luckily it just happened naturally 3 years later.

I also didn’t keep fuck all gains when I went back to being natty.

Once your older, have had kids, you can just run trt forever, have the occasional blast and make way better progress.

Plus you’ll have more money, be more responsible and have a much better natural base.

That's awesome bro. I've met so many Kiwi's recently migrating over! Missus is from Palmy North, and we're in SE QLD region 🤝

You can definitely have a crack at kickstarting your natural production following a few cycles but your response here is heavily individual, and could be quite a drawn out process, or you may never completely restore function.

Personally, I'll just be on for life. Once my bodybuilding journey is over, it's not too hard to pin once a week. Cruise dose.

Get me some physique piccies brother! And a rundown on everything you eat! Your bloods too, once you've done them! Let's see if we can get everything dialed in before you commit to get the most out of your time on.

Definitely check out the podcast and read some of the articles on here. You'll learn a lot about these performance enhancers. There's a lot of things that are coming around especially these peptides which are really cool stuff.

I would recommend at your age to definitely get your diet and training on point. That's why it's important to get a log going and check out the other logs. See what can work for you. Once you dial that in, in a few years from now, you can start experimenting more with PEDs. Another option too is going with peptides and SARMs.

Please feel free to ask anything or ask for more information. I'm here to learn.

Cheers all.
At 20 years old you have your whole life ahead of you. No reason to jump into anything strong. Maybe run some peptides, maybe some GW.

Bros, my recommendation: put up a log as soon as possible. You're going to be almost 21 years old. If you dial in your diet and your training when you're young, you're going to have even better results as you get older

What's good all, appreciate all the levels of feedback, @ROIDDERS @2Thick @Ulter appreciate the ideas, I'd previously thought sarms and peptides were extremely risky due to the little research as their pretty new. Is that not the case? Appreciate any explanations.
