**I have a high protien, lower carb and fat diet as I have found this is what works for me. Yes, I have tried higher carbs, didn't work well

Sleep
6.5 hours. Not the best, very disjointed.
Training
Bench 5x20,40 3x60 1x80,100,110,120,130,142.5kg
**Took a while to get into these today. Body was tight and only loosened up in last couple. Fail on 142.5kg was a clean fail. Setup, bar path and leg drive were all good, just not strong enough today. I can accept that. Part of the journey.

Modified Floor Press 5x72, 82 3x5x92.5kg
**Strong enough for these. Got them all clean.

Flat flys 3x12x30kg
**Best the shoulders have felt on these in weeks. This is where my weak point is. Obviously this is due to being unable to do shoulder work for almost the entire cycle.

Daily thoughts
A bit of a story today....
Thankyou Evo. Why?
I was having one of deeply reflective moments and figure for once I should actually write (type) it down.
Just over 5 years ago I felt unbreakable and immortal. Covid had come and gone and I didn't get a thing. I was, as usual, incredibly busy at work and I was training well in the gym and loving it.
And then I broke.
I went from unbreakable to broken in a day. It was 15 years in the making but the fall was sudden and brutal.
I had worked 6-7 days a week, 10-12 hours a day, with high stress workloads for 15 years and I burnt out....spectacularly.
Just one meeting too many that pushed an unfair and unrealistic agenda broke the dam.
I was a mental mess and it took 18 months of therapy and the unconditional love of my wife and children to drag me back...most of the way. I was still immortal because I could train hard and this was vital in this time. This was mid 2022.
A change of jobs and location had me getting my mental strength back and things were looking good.
Jump forward to 2025 and my energy levels were going downhill so on the suggestion of a great friend I started TRT in March 2025. I joined Evo in June that year. I started my first log and I was feeling more comfortable with myself than I had in a long time.
Then in September 2025 I actually did catch Covid. I of course ignored it and kept training. This was, on reflection, quite idiotic.
I ended up with atrial fibrillation, myocarditis, and heart failure which doubled the size of my Left Ventricle. I also had double sided pneumonia and pulmonary interstitial fibrosis (found after the pneumonia subsided a bit).
I was in a Cardiac Care Unit for 10 days and had 3 clear heart failure episodes.
Suddenly I was now Mortal as well as breakable and my identity of who and what I was collapsed entirely.
I was a proper mess during October and November, not being able to train at all and unsure if my body would recover and what that might look like.
My wife was my absolute rock and without her no recovery at all would have been possible.
By December I decided enough was enough and decided I needed to get my arse back in the gym one way or another. I also made sure I reconnected with Evo and started this log.
I have increasingly improved since then health wise. Most of that you can see from my log.
So here we are now.
I am almost as strong as I have ever physically so nearly immortal again. I am also getting mentally stronger and my focus is clearly better.
Almost unbreakable.....
Evo has a lot to do with this. By reading other logs and interacting with the brothers and sisters here, I have been able to draw on the positive attitudes and vibes that perpetuate throughout the forum. I have also learned an enormous amount on about a incredible array of subjects.
I feel at home on Evo.
So as I initially said, thankyou Evo.
I hope all of you get as much from the Evo Family as I have.
Much Love Evo Fam
