Canadian TRT struggles

Just wanted to share my journey to date trying to address low testosterone issues in Nova Scotia, Canada. First off, family physicians are impossible to get with 90k plus people waiting 7 plus years to get one. Family physicians and walk-ins won't go near TRT.

Finally found Jack Health online but the only tested my test levels and not even bioavailable testosterone. My test is normal, but at 44, I'm in the 60 plus age range for bioavailable testosterone. Was denied by them. A year later science and humans finally had a NS NP who I got my bloodwork done and bioavailable test was very low. Met with them and they only want to prescribe HCG. From my research this isn't the best option as solo treatment. I have 4 kids and no plans on having more. Apparently in Nova Scotia regulations say you have to see an in person physician quarterly for trt. Just wanted to let everyone know so they don't waste their money on science and humans in Nova Scotia. Alberta and other provinces are less strict around virtual test prescription. I'd love to hear other solutions or experiences.

I used to be a bodybuilder so I'm familiar with cycles etc but just wanted a simple cyp every other day at 150mg or so with regular bloodwork but it's impossible in this province trying to do it legit.
@Jimdawg22 Welcome to the forums bro! Self TRT would be your best bet!

Same issue in Australia - need to just do it yourself - 125-150mg/week will get you in the supra-physiological range (at least for me)- 80-100mg/week if you just want to get to high of normal

Hey man,

Fellow Canadian struggling with getting TRT. For me, I had low normal levels from various injuries and really struggled to get a script for TRT.

I went with Sovereign Male out of Ontario and they have been really good to deal with. My benefits cover the costs which are a DEFINITE pain but something I gotta endure to keep the missus chill. They put you on 160-200mg a week with HcG as well. Super gravy

In terms of a little something extra, I found on this forum @pur-pharma-canada that I have been enjoying on my current test/var run. My missus is my literal pin nurse so she is very sceptical about UG product and the Pur-Pharma stuff has been the first she stacks up as good as script stuff from the pharmacy.

Canada is funny with TRT but we gotta make do 🤠🤠

Hey Bro
When the clinic puts you on 160-200mg whats your oestrogen numbers? Are you running an AI? I’m in Australia doing self trt and trying to suss it out. At 125mg per week my testosterone levels are great but my oestrogen is to high.
Cheers mate.

Hey

At 160mg test e and 300iu HcG per week my estrogen sat at 178 pmol/L. Above ref range (160pmol/L) but didn’t worry the doc as I am a high converter with no noticeable sides at that time. If I could go back, I’d ask for an AI (for future cycle use) but didn’t want/need it at that time.

In future cycles I’ll be including an AI as I’m currently relying on Nolva to keep gyno away from a 350mg test e cycle.

I’ve heard it’s very possible to run your TRT without an AI depending on your biomarkers. You mentioned your estro was too high. What did the bloods say and what sides did you notice?

I’ll send you a msg so i don’t hijack this log.

@Jimdawg22

its the opposite in america. its trt clinics putting people on all kinds of shit to take as much money as they can.

the truth is self trt is the way to go. its cheap but you need to do it right
Oh man i could get anything i wanted in the states years ago, doctor asked me if my joints hurt and i said yes he just sent over a script of decca with just one question lol, never ended up using it, it really was that simple.

yeah that is one thing we have in the USA. you can get anything as long as the person selling it to you is making a profit lol

@Jimdawg22 Bro starting up a log will be good.......

You're right. I've seen hundreds on Tik Tok advertising. You pretty much have to be transitioning from female to male here to get any medical guided TRT care. Medical cannabis was like that here for a decade. No doctor would touch it in fear of losing their license and now it's much easier.
That’s crazy man.

Just an update. Ended up speaking as a second opinion with a physician with science and humans and she felt I was a good candidate for TRT and not HCG. So all is good and am able to do it all through my health insurance.
Hey bro, Would love to see what she prescribes , your before/after bloods and any AI protocols she prescribes.
I’m Doing self trt in australia and still trying to get my dosage correct.
Was doing 125mg per week but oestrogen was to high, so trying 100mg per week now. I would prefer not to use an AI but i’m curious to see what happens under medical supervision with a prescription.

Welcome Bru
