maybe the first date needs to be more casual and relaxed. Instead of a formal meal, meet for a coffee and walk around a park? Keep the first date casual and brief. Then you can lock in a second, more formal and intimate date?

📝Week 5 - Day 4📝

I got my blood test results back today. Im going to lay out my numbers in two sections. The first section with me my HGH and IGF1 levels, as i can compare my results for these with the test i got 4 weeks ago. This will be able to show the results of @StoryOfTheProphet HGH! (All units will be in the units used in Australia https://unitslab.com/ )

Growth Hormone - 5.5 ug/L (up 0.8 ug/L from 4.7 ug/L)
IGF1 - - 23 nmol/L (up 0.9 ug/L from 14 nmol/L)

This is on a dose of 1iu per night.

According to my blood test, i was already in the top end for natural HGH production (0.1 - 4.3 ug/L), however, i was on the bottom end for the IGF1 production (14 - 37 nmol/L). After 4 weeks of the HGH, my HGH has continued to raise beyond the reference range, and also put my IGF1 levels into pretty close to normal, from clinically low.

This is the ideal scenario for a longevity scenario, which is what im most interested in. Overall, great result.

Now for this section, i will lay out the rest of my hormones, along with the reference range for the Luteal cycle phase (as that was the phase i was in during the test).

FSH - 8 IU/L - (Range during Luteal cycle 1 - 10 IU/L)
LH - 9 IU/L - (Range during Luteal cycle 1 - 10 IU/L)
Oestradiol - 322 pmol/L - (Range during Luteal cycle 200 - 800 pmol/L)
Progesterone - 4 nmol/L - (Range during Luteal cycle > 6 nmol/L)
Prolactin - 75 mIU/L (Range during ALL cycles< 500 mIU/L)
Testosterone - 0.7 nmol/L (Range during ALL cycles 0.3 - 1.8 nmol/L)
Free Testosterone - 7 pmol/L (Range during ALL cycles 6 - 28 pmol/L)
SHBG - 73 nmol/L (Range during ALL cycles 25 - 120 nmol/L)
DHEA Sulphate - 3.5 umol/L (Range during ALL cycles 1.2 - 8.0 umol/L)

So summerise, my FSH and LH seem to be within range, but my other hormones seem to be lower than ideal (save for SHBG which is normal). This is most likely just the reality of being low bodyweight and the passing of time. Maybe some dietary changes could elevate these levels slighty, but everything is working fine so no need to worry.

Lunch - Mexican beef salad
Afternoon Snack - Beef Jerky
Dinner - Beeg Silverside and vegetables (Americans would call this corned beef)

Very high protein today, lots of meat. Believe it or not like most girls, i was a vegetarian for a long time. Now i eat beef 3 times a day 😂

💪Exercise💪

Had alot of strength and energy in the gym today, must have been the almond crossiant :love:

Plate loaded leg press 100kg x 5 (4 sets)
Single db squat (glute focus) 20kg x 10 (4 sets)
Back extension (hammy focus) 15kg x 10 (3 sets)
Machine single leg press 54kg x 10 (3 sets)
Machine calf raise 109kg x 12 (3 sets)

Felt really good after the workout, really lifted my mood :)

Hit 7k steps and drank over 3 litres of water (like always!).

Something that didnt really fit into either catergory, but was included in my blood test was Cortisol.
Cortisol 216 nmol/L (Reference range AM 145 - 619 nmol/L).

There was actually a note that mentioned my low morning cortisol, as its normally the time when its highest. I did read that HGH lowers cortisol, which is great. Cortisol is generally a stress hormone, and lower stress hopefully means less oxidative stress. Maybe i will start looking younger soon 🤗

📝Week 5 - Day 2📝

Early Pilates session this morning was a great way to start the day. I felt rested and recovered from yesterday and it really helped for this morning session. The instructor even commented that “I’m looking really fit” 😍

Morning Snack - Black ice coffee with whey and collagen protein.
Lunch - Chicken, Rice and vegetables.
Afternoon Snack - Protein bar
Dinner - Chicken and salad sandwich.
Dessert - little serve of ice cream

I don’t actively set to eat any certain number of calories. I just eat when I’m hungry and eat a serve that makes me full. Today, I had ice cream and ate lower than yesterday. My intake seems to be a range of 1400 to 1700.

💪Exercise💪

You’d be surprised at the workout intensity you can achieve with bodyweight and band resistance. It’s obviously not going to have comparable hypertrophy to conventional bodybuilding, but it’s still a challenge (and fun 😄). I see the YouTube videos of super ripped bodybuilders trying yoga/pilates and struggling. Obviously any new type of exercise you’ll struggle with, until you get the hang of it.

Noticed I kept waking in the early hours of the morning which I was often doing with the reta but I was more easily able to get back to sleep. I assume from that’s the HGH getting me back to sleep faster when I wake up?

yeah i asked that last woman to go for a walk in the park and she said "am i a dog?" take me to a 5 star dinner

Yes this is exactly how GH works, it takes months to really to start getting into gear. Some benefits may be noticed after a month but it starts to really shine when used long term. I run it all year round at low dose and take the odd break from it here and there, while also upping my dose here and there as well, depending on goals.

Nice work on the 8k steps. It can be hard to get them in if you don't do designated cardio or have a physical job. I went for a 45 minute walk yesterday morning and only hit 10k for the day.

Finally took some progress photos today. Weighed in at 46.8kg. I can tell im looking leaner in the back, i can see some seperation in my lats. Never thought id be somewhat "shredded". :eek:

Your abs have changed drastically! Your arms specifically biceps are peaked and your delts are noticeably more of a 3D look. Rear delts are looking toned and dense. Your lower back muscles outside the spine have the peak and valley look where your spine is. Insertions are looking more visible too. Your lats have leaned out and you've kept the lat spread. Overall amazing progress pic update! You're really coming along!

I did grow to like it eventually with a bit of creamer though so I can see it's appeal.

Finally took some progress photos today. Weighed in at 46.8kg. I can tell im looking leaner in the back, i can see some seperation in my lats. Never thought id be somewhat "shredded". :eek:

Lunch - Mexican beef salad
Afternoon Snack - Kiwi fruit and rice cakes with Biscoff
Dinner - Homemade Beef Burger

Today was Legs 2. I was pretty taxed so instead of a 5th exercise i did an incline walk on the treadmill. I probably could have "pushed through", but i knew i couldnt give 100%. Sometimes its better to call it early, so you dont hurt yourself.

BB good mornings 25kg x 10 (3 sets)
Machine leg extension 23kg x 10 (3 sets)
Machine abduction 43kg x 10 (3 sets)

Hit 8k steps and drank over 3 litres of water (like always!).

American here. I make my own cold brew or I use a French press.

The best coffee I ever had was in Miami. The Cubans make this sort of espresso but they put brown sugar in it or something and you get a cup and some tiny cups and the big cup is meant to be shared. I promise you it’s delicious! People who hate coffee love it and you can always tell someone new to it because they try to drink the big cup and that would be waaaaaaaay too strong 😱

One of my best friends is Vietnamese, but no, I’ve never had it!

I have never found Cuban coffee that equaled coffee made by actual Cubans hahaha. But I can believe the rest of the world has, being more coffee literate hahaha.

went to Vietnam this year and I was addicted to all the different ways they have their coffee!
Also did a cooking class and the little vietnamese chef told me (in broken english) that I looked like the rock - mainly because I'm a giant over there, and I told him yeah - I'm the Temu Rock

I've been to canada too. Very close culturally and demographically to Australia.

No that balianese coffee, Indonesia.

The way it works, is this native cat type animal have a sense for finding all the best coffee beans and they eat them. Their stomach acids ferment it and turn the beans into really fancy coffee.

Weighed in at 46.4kg this morning. Lighter than normal, but i have been looking pretty lean at the moment, so i guess that checks out. I've been on Reta for such a long time now, as i started months before this log. I know the glucogon part of the peptide burns interal organ fat. I wonder how much i have left? :unsure:

Morning Snack - Kiwi and jerky
Lunch - Mexican beef salad
Afternoon Snack - Pocky sticks (and some cheese and nuggets at a party 😆)

I went out to a function that had some finger food. Hense the random afternoon snack. I didnt have much of an appetite today, but i tihink i did eat pretty within range.

Today was a rest day. Was otherwise pretty busy, so probably didnt get complete mental rest. Got pilates tommorrow, so ill be well rested for it 💪

I think it’s a combination of it all synergistically firing on all cylinders for you because you’re doing everything correctly and your dedication shows in your log.

Why and how has no one mentioned Tim Hortons yet? We Canadians will fight you to the death over a Tim Hortons debate.
I didn’t find Tim Hortons any better than most coffee franchises, but it was very consistent. Even in Singapore, it’s very decent coffee.
I think it’s a combination of it all synergistically firing on all cylinders for you because you’re doing everything correctly and your dedication shows in your log.

i did notice my shoulders looking rounder and leaner.

I am very small. I’m very short and have a pretty small frame.

This is the lightest I’ve been since I can remember. I’ve been 46 kilos before, but not with the same muscle mass.

Today was a great day. Got alot of sleep last night. Started the day with a really satisfying pilates session and got to enjoy some good food. All while staying within my goals 💪.

Morning Snack 2 - A few small brazilian snacks at an event (did not track them :LOL:)

Yeah i've had random insomnia bouts on Reta. I've read that it's a side effect in some people. Its hard to know what part of the Insonmia is directly reta related, or just a result of the reta making me lower body fat?
I'd try to grab a nap later on if poss

I find that you get a more natural range of motion with db in some exercises. Its good to switch them up :)

Nice log! Recently became active on EVO so haven’t followed the entire time, but will pick up from here.

Tell me more about the Reta insomnia.. I think I share a similar side as to you.

Some nights better than others. But often fall asleep just fine, wake up a few hours later (say 1am) and find myself unable to get back to sleep OR perhaps asleep but can hear my mind thinking for the rest of the night.

Didn’t think of Reta. Definitely could be as this all started @ similar time

I get this from carnivore diet,its brutal
Awake every 2 hrs 😴
Its from blood sugar dipping to low by around 1/2am and im wide awake all of a sudden
Do you think it may be similar circumstances and not the retas fault🤔
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt reta play some part of your blood sugar levels?
If this is the case that could be the cause.
Might be worth increasing carbs 💪

Fruits, veggies and grains are important. We are omnivore’s after all.

Yeah it should lower blood glucose levels as it makes you insulin sensitive.

Finally took some progress photos today. Weighed in at 46.8kg. I can tell im looking leaner in the back, i can see some seperation in my lats. Never thought id be somewhat "shredded". :eek:

You guys love that perculated stuff. In Australia we have a MASSIVE coffee culture. The european style coffee is the most popular, but we give it boring names like "Flat white". Its basically an espresso shot, topped with some extra hot water, then some frothed milk.

Yes, i have a fancy coffee machine. Any tradesmen (or contractors) always get offered fancy coffee. You almost guarantee a good job when you give them quality coffee! :LOL:

I slowly increased from 1mg a week to 3 mg a week. Its hard to know if the appetite increase is from the HGH though. I've heard that does happen in some people. 🤔

i don’t know what causes it. When it happened the first couple of time, I googled “Reta and insomnia” and a couple of threads on reddit popped up.

It seems like, at least from other users experiences, it can be a common side effect.

Is the directly from the Reta? Or a side effect from being lean?
overweight people get more insomnia so that isn't the reason. being lean is being healthy
 
📝Week 6 - Day 3📝

Had the dreaded "Reta induced insomnia" from 3am. It really drained me the rest of the day. Happens every now and then on Reta, in my experience.

😋 Food 😋

Breakfast - Coffee straight away o_O
Post Workout - Overnight Oats
Lunch - Chicken Burger
Afternoon Snack - Kiwi, jerky and rice cakes with peanut butter
Dinner - Salad wrap
Dessert - Greek Yogurt with Casein

I didnt track today. I was tired and grumpy and didnt feel like it :ROFLMAO:

Pretty sure it was within my normal caloric range.

💪Exercise💪

Today was Push. Even with the early wake up, i still felt pretty strong.

DB incline bench press 12.5kg x 8 8 8 6
DB incline flyes 6kg x 10 3 sets
DB seated shoulder press 10kg x 8 (3 sets)
DB lat raises 5kg x 10 12 12
Cable overhead rope push 14kg x 10 10 10

Hit 8k steps and drank over 3 litres of water (like always!).

Pretty low today. I really don't do well on low sleep. I need my sleep quality to be good, its the main variable that i know effects me the most. Fingers crossed i get a better sleep tonight 🤞
