Update

Day 95 Lean Build Phase

Fresh off a proper rest day and decent sleep, off to an excellent start this morning with a massive upper body session 💪

I reckon if we did an extra couple weeks on this course, we’d hit 100kg 😂 😂 weight continues to just climb. 93.2kg this morning 💪💪

However am holding a lot of water now in the legs and have noticed in forarms, wrist hands also. More than I’ve seen before. Think there is definitely an element of water weight to the increase. Stomach and lower back also not as tight. So Our little health phase commencing week after next appears timely!!

This all said. Not concerns or bothered at all!! Feeling pretty damn good and strong. Moved some excellent load today and intensity remained high for the entire session. I was happy with this one.

And yep. Stupid stupid pumps continue 😂

Day 99 Lean Build Phase

HAPPY EASTER 🐣 to the entire EVO family. Hope you all enjoy the weekend and its meaning to you, whether that be religious or simply the Easter bunny!!!

Early morning leg session to start the day. In and out the gym before kids wake up so that I can spend the rest of the day focused on family and Easter festivities. We did attend an Easter show last night, and whilst my meal choice was that of a typical bodybuilder (photo attached 😂 😂) I did enjoy some off the plan chocolates with the kids 🤤. So definitely put those calories to work this morning 💪💪

Entering into the final week of build phase 1, block 1. Positive early check in with coach. Body composition is set to finish this gain phase in a really good place. No changes to current plan then we pull back, check bloods and health, to enter a health / maintenance phase 4-6 weeks before block 2 of build phase commences over winter.

No other updates! In a great place. Diet break today. Much needed mentally. Then back to the grind tomorrow. Feeling 💯 all round. Great place to be!

Quick one today - only felt right to throw something up on day 100🔥🔥

Wow how quickly this block has gone, yet how successful it’s been also.

We’ve exceeded all initial expectations and goals by miles while the only adjustments to PEDs during the is time was a slight REDUCTION in total AAS load…12kg in 3 months. Absolutely mind blowing the respond I’ve had with such a low dose and no need for caloric increase along the way. We’ve managed to build some quality tissue, stay lean and healthy along the way.

Rare chance to workout with my coach this morning. Bloke towers over the most elite competitors in the word and spends most of his year at 135-145kg. Highly experienced and highly respected locally, has not steered me wrong 1 degree over last few years of working together and always puts my health and wellbeing first above everything else… and. Day 102 Lean Build Phase

After a run of 6-8 weeks of relatively uneventful but successful GAINS, how quickly things turn 😂....

Feel Absolutely broken today. Body is very sore and feeling fatigued/drained.

Have completely blown up with water again (similar or perhaps worse than than mid-course) - this extends past the ankles and lower legs and includes feet, upper legs, stomach, arms, wrists, hands and face. Uncomfortable but manageable

Today’s session was tough. Mentally had to grind through every rep, so rest day tomorrow is a blessing! Not much progression tbh but matched last weeks effort at least.

Diet on point post Easter.

Not too concerned at this point just providing a transparent look at where I am at and what I am going through.. Health phase next week will be so important for the body and systems to reset and recover before we go again

Will crawl to the end of this block if I have to!!!

Finally, I have decided to wrap up this Log at the end of this week and take a break during the health phase (I’m assuming this 4-6 week block will hopefully be fairly uneventful). The aim will be to start a fresh log, with my new stack, for build phase 2.... the road to + 100kg LEAN💪💪

Surely… i do my coaches head in 💯 😂 😂 I’m a man of education and understanding the science behind everything.I continue questioning all elements of training, nutrition and supplements until they make sense in my head 😂

Hahaha you and me both! Tweak and tweak, however this is also how you get to a good spot! Only you know what you feel and what exercises you click with.

Day 105 Lean Build Phase

And just like that…. Final session of the first build phase for 2026 is completed.

Starting scale weight 79.9kg - Final Scale weight 94.9kg. Attached side by side of the growth transformation 💪💪

Upon reflection, this is the first programmed build phase I’ve complete in my 18 years training in the gym. Prior to this, I simply took the “eat and lift” approach. No structure. No goals. Simply spent my year pushing weight until I was unhappy with how I looked in the mirror then jumped on diet, lost some fat (and muscle) the started again.

For the past 105 days, whilst admittedly not perfect, I’ve eaten to plan. Trained to plan. Took supplements to plan. Recovered to plan. Fundamentals were all in check. And my response to all the aforementioned has surprised us all. Myself and coach included.

The initial goal was to be at 90kg by September. Ready for a pre summer cut to 85kg at 10% bf. 5kg of lean tissue. Here we are in April. 95kg. Still relatively Lean.

Yet to push a high dose of PEDs or use any traditional “mass building” compounds. Yet to push food to an uncomfortable level. Healthy. Injury free. Strong. Minimal side effects experienced. Scope for more growth. The only question…. How much ?

However, I’ve learned a lot about my body and response to various elements along the way. Made mistakes. Adjusted. Rectified.

I’ve learned that a proper build phase is actually not easy. Comes with its own complexities and somewhat as difficult and stressful as a cut. Really takes a toll on your body especially putting on substantial weight in a short amount of time. All lessons I’ll take into future phases, as I start to implement what aspects worked well, and eliminate those that didn’t.

Monday we enter a health / maintenance block. We let the system recover. Total AAS is reduced back to test only. GH dose reduced to 50% and all other PEDs are removed. Training is regressed back to 5 days and we look to pull some water and inflammation to gather a true appreciation for what we achieved over the past 105 days. It is also likely we introduce some lower carb/calorie days to “clean up” some fluff & expect to end this block in the high 80s with a decision to make..

Do we push another lean build phase over winter to 100kg leading into pre summer cut. Or are we content with size, aim to finesse the physique in some areas and reevaluate goals / plan for the rest of the year.

Thank you brother 🙏🙏 and thank you for consistently checking in throughout the journey. Really means a lot and chatting through various topics and challenges mentally helps progress through challenges as they arise.

I’m proud to get through right to the end. But the body is tired. Starting the aggressive cut in September and straight into the build phase in January - looking forward to taking the foot of the gas for a while and cruising through health phase.

Biggest challenge for me will be after a couple weeks, when I start to feel myself again, being disciplined enough to not try to rush into anything to crazy and sticking with the plan to cruise for a period of time….

I’m looking forward to following your progress brother. You are super switched on and motivated right now. Big things are just around the corner!! Go get it weapon 🔥🔥

Day 105 Lean Build Phase

And just like that…. Final session of the first build phase for 2026 is completed.

Starting scale weight 79.9kg - Final Scale weight 94.9kg. Attached side by side of the growth transformation 💪💪

Upon reflection, this is the first programmed build phase I’ve complete in my 18 years training in the gym. Prior to this, I simply took the “eat and lift” approach. No structure. No goals. Simply spent my year pushing weight until I was unhappy with how I looked in the mirror then jumped on diet, lost some fat (and muscle) the started again.

For the past 105 days, whilst admittedly not perfect, I’ve eaten to plan. Trained to plan. Took supplements to plan. Recovered to plan. Fundamentals were all in check. And my response to all the aforementioned has surprised us all. Myself and coach included.

The initial goal was to be at 90kg by September. Ready for a pre summer cut to 85kg at 10% bf. 5kg of lean tissue. Here we are in April. 95kg. Still relatively Lean.

Yet to push a high dose of PEDs or use any traditional “mass building” compounds. Yet to push food to an uncomfortable level. Healthy. Injury free. Strong. Minimal side effects experienced. Scope for more growth. The only question…. How much ?

However, I’ve learned a lot about my body and response to various elements along the way. Made mistakes. Adjusted. Rectified.

I’ve learned that a proper build phase is actually not easy. Comes with its own complexities and somewhat as difficult and stressful as a cut. Really takes a toll on your body especially putting on substantial weight in a short amount of time. All lessons I’ll take into future phases, as I start to implement what aspects worked well, and eliminate those that didn’t.

Monday we enter a health / maintenance block. We let the system recover. Total AAS is reduced back to test only. GH dose reduced to 50% and all other PEDs are removed. Training is regressed back to 5 days and we look to pull some water and inflammation to gather a true appreciation for what we achieved over the past 105 days. It is also likely we introduce some lower carb/calorie days to “clean up” some fluff & expect to end this block in the high 80s with a decision to make..

Do we push another lean build phase over winter to 100kg leading into pre summer cut. Or are we content with size, aim to finesse the physique in some areas and reevaluate goals / plan for the rest of the year.
