Very trueYeah, but Family is different....especially an Evo one
The problem is that I can’t eat as much as I can’t eat at all... my stomach and my psyche just don’t take a lot of food. I can’t eat meat, but I’m not a vegetarian, dairy products and lots of fish, nuts... All this is very heavy food for me. All day for me light oatmeal flakes with a portion of protein and 10 grams of olive oil, beat with a blender and just drink... I’ve been drinking energy drinks lately. That's a nice house, you should get it if you have the money sister :d @Mara35
If you dont want to fast, how about trying short fasts with higher food days?
@Mara35 Your avatar pic shows me you've built some lean muscle and clearly lift. What is your main protein source and do you know how many grams a day you're taking in? With what I see in your genetics you'd be a dream client for a coach. The problem is that I can’t eat as much as I can’t eat at all... my stomach and my psyche just don’t take a lot of food. And this is just as scary as being high in fat.

The basic source of the simplest dry protein, isolate. Thank you. But I work only for myself and have never taken a break in the rest more than 4 days. Now at home, dumbbells, own weight. There used to be a lot of weight until I got into the wheelchair. But I keep going, I can walk a little. one thing i tell my clients always and why I am 1000% against these idiotic cut/paste diet programs these fitness influencers are selling online is because we are all different. The problem is that I can’t eat as much as I can’t eat at all... my stomach and my psyche just don’t take a lot of food. Can you eat peanut butter or almond butter? @Mara35I don’t want to. Sometimes it makes me sick even to watch. But I can cook well and everything. But I don’t eat. And also, I feel better when my stomach is half empty.
What's to hate about peanut butter lol. Everyone over here grows up eating PB sandwiches.I hate peanut butter

Wait, let me send across some vegemite. Then tell me how people will like vegemite. Same goes for PB. In Aus, if you see expired protein selling, its usually PB flavourWhat's to hate about peanut butter lol. Everyone over here grows up eating PB sandwiches.
I remember Europeans really liked Nutella when I went over there. I was at breakfast and there was no PB so I tried Nutella instead and that stuff is gross lol
Ohhhh Vegemite...that stuff if horrible!!Wait, let me send across some vegemite. Then tell me how people will like vegemite. Same goes for PB. In Aus, if you see expired protein selling, its usually PB flavour
You Americans add PB to everything. Last time I visited America and went to a gym, I asked for a post workout shake and dude asked me if I wanted PB powder in it, I said yes, and then regretted.

So true. I do loveeee me some Canadian food though. We have a Canadian place near me and I would swim in poutine if I couldYea I know Vegemite is big down under. Good on ya mate!
Definitely an acquired taste and we don't have anything like it on this side of the world. Guess it's all what you get used to. To be fair I haven't tried Vegemite for like 15-20 years so maybe I'd like it now that my tastes have evolved. If I see it around I'll give it another go and report back. An entire continent can't be wrong right?
It's all about having proper cheese curds. I hate when people say they're serving poutine and they just sprinkle some white cheese on top.So true. I do loveeee me some Canadian food though. We have a Canadian place near me and I would swim in poutine if I could![]()

Really cool setup @stevesmiLet's get the log back on point. Fishing season has arrived and I am itching to get out there so bad. there is no better dopamine rush then to see your rod BEND. the high quality protein and fats from wild fish is super healthy and its a great hobby that I enjoy..
a couple guys including mobster have asked me to post up some of my equipment that I use and a lot of it will blow you away and many have never heard of it. I use strategies that very few even know about but I will share some of the things I do.
SEE PICS below
The first thing on here is called Tung Tabs. these were invented by a vietnamese fisherman. for those of you who don't know the vietnamese are some of the most gifted fisherman on the planet. i've learned a ton from watching them and some of the best i've gotten to know,.. they literally spend every second of their spare time fishing. these you tie to your rig and sinker and they help lift your sinker off the floor while you are reeling to prevent the fish from being lost and to make the retrieval easier. they also act as a mirror underwater which makes your rig and bait doubly attractive to a school of fish swimming by. they almost HAVE TO stop and look to see what that shiny thing is. they are one of the most interesting fish hacks out there that nobody even knows about.
The next thing is the rig I use to surf fish. it is called a pompano rig. you can make them yourself, but I have these special ordered. the jewelry on them resembles crustaceans so it attracts the fish to them. they also have flurocarbon leader, which is more invisible to the fish and circle hooks which helps the fish get hooked easier and stay on
The rod itself that i have here is 11 feet. this is not an easy rod to cast and it takes a lot of practice. once you master it then you can cast super far into the ocean
the next thing is a sand flea rake that I made myself for under $15 and it will last for life. I used an actual rake, then chicken wire with zip ties. it is used on the surf to catch crustaceans that i use to fish with
the next thing is called fish gum and fish bites. these have only been around about 5 years or so and i never believed in them until i tried them. they are made from natural ingredients and have a scent to them that attracts the fish and the nice thing is they stay on the hook easier. the trick with these is find the fresh ones that still have color. COLOR is important when targetting the quality fish. if you order them and they get to you without color it means they weren't properly stored and ask for your money back. i always store them in the fridge so they keep their color. and when you put them on the hook make sure the colored side is showing.
sand spikes are also on here. those are useful to put the rod into. I use 4 rods at one time so when 1 rod bends i can run over to it while the others are still ready to go
and finally another cool thing i use are called sputnik sinkers. these look like a spaceship and the way they work is the arms sit in the sand preventing the sinker from moving with current or wind. this is something you won't see many people using out there but they are a must for fishing in rougher conditions.
Fishing cart. I have this cart which makes it way easier to lug my equipment down the sand with these special BALLON wheels that work on the sand. you want to leave the wheels very under pumped, never pump them full of air then they will scretch.
another very important trick is reading the ocean. a lot of people just go and cast in a random spot and sit there like dummies for hours waiting for a fish. that isn't the way to do it. you need to look for moving water, rips, deep cuts, and fish highways. you do this by reading the waves and watching the way the water moves and colors in the water. you can literally move 50 yards down the bench and find a spot with zero fish, then move another 25 yards and find a place with tons of fish. also distance is important. I use 4 rods and cast them each a different spot and distance. once I determine where the fish are then i can move the other rods in the same spot. and if you are in a spot 15-20 minutes without any luck then MOVE. pick your shit up and move down the beach and continue looking for a better spot. you must cast where the fish are! i've even packed my shit up and moved miles down the road to find another spot when things don't look good.
its also very important to find a place that doesn't have human activity. humans ruin the planet, the more people walk that beach the worst it will be. the more natural the spot is the better. if you see crabs, birds, etc on the beach its a good spot. if you see people and nothing else then not a good spot. structure is important. the beach needs to have structure. meaning when you walk into the ocean are there dropoffs? deep water? cuts? or is it just flat cause they dumped sand there so that tourists can lay on the beach? also people swimming WILL scare fish away, there are some fisherman who won't even wear white clothes as that white color looks like a predator bird that would eat them. a good trick to avoid bad beaches for fishing is to park and then get on the beach and walk as far away from any parking or public entry possible. so you might have to walk a mile down a busy beach to find a nice spot away from public bathrooms and showers where you know families will not bother going to.
finally i use several apps when i am fishing. first the fish rules app will tell you the regulations for the spot you are fishing, telling you what fish you can keep and what size etc. i also monitor the swell, wind, tides, and weather overall. you can fish in any tide, but the most optimal tide is after low tide when the water is coming up, because the fish will usually move with the tide closer to the beach. another thing when surf fishing is the general rule is the fish will be most hungry the first 2 hours after sunrise, and the 2 hours before sunset. i like to get there 15 minutes before sunrise and get everything ready to rock as the sun is coming up so you are in that prime time 2 hours with rods in the water
That’s a killer writeup and you can tell you’ve put in years of trial and error. Most guys never think past a plain sinker and a basic rig, so stuff like tung tabs, pompano rigs with fluoro and circle hooks, and especially sputnik sinkers will be new to almost everyone reading. Four rods in spikes and learning to actually read the water instead of just casting blind is what separates filling a cooler from going home empty. The cart with balloon wheels is huge too, nothing worse than dragging gear across soft sand. You’ve got every angle covered from bait color all the way to picking beaches with real structure, that’s the kind of detail that actually helps people.Let's get the log back on point. Fishing season has arrived and I am itching to get out there so bad. there is no better dopamine rush then to see your rod BEND. the high quality protein and fats from wild fish is super healthy and its a great hobby that I enjoy..

That sounds like a beautiful dream. My dream is to retire in Mexico near the ocean and fish for dorado every day.
That's a universal truth, never share your spots. It is huge to know the tricks. You see people there all day with no fish and you have others catching like crazy. It’s a skill you have to learn
I’ve had a lot of old timers and young guys too teach me all of this stuff. If I see someone successful at it I will ask questions just like what we do on here.
I always want to help others catch more fish. The only thing I do not do is disclose my fishing spots as it took me time to find them through scouting.
That’s the right mindset, the little tricks make the difference between standing there all day and actually filling the cooler. Asking questions and learning from guys who are already pulling fish is how you pick it up fast, same as training. Keeping spots private is smart too, scouting takes work and nothing worse than burning out a good hole by giving it away.It is huge to know the tricks. You see people there all day with no fish and you have others catching like crazy. It’s a skill you have to learn

New Mexico has some solid fishing if you know where to go, not Mexico-level bass monsters but plenty of good water. Elephant Butte is the big one for stripers, whites, and largemouth, and there’s also Caballo right below it. Northern NM has quality trout fishing in the San Juan River below Navajo Dam, world class fly spot with big rainbows and browns. You’ll also find decent walleye and catfish in the reservoirs. Not as famous as Mexico but definitely worth a trip if you’re out that way.You talk like a fisherman @LevButlerov

i think the main issue is they tell others. then those people tell others. and then the spot gets ruined in 1 season. that is why i like surf fishing, you can scout places and you don't have to worry about overfishing as the ocean is always changing day to day or week to week. That's a universal truth, never share your spots.
I've only told one person my spots and that's just cuz he was a pro and fishing a tournament on my lake. I took him around for the day pre fishing and he gave me a ton of gear. I just wanted to fish on a professional bass fishing boat like I watched on TV lol
Good to know. The low key areas are way better anyway. Anytime an area becomes well known for fishing it gets so much pressure and fished out. Good to keep NM a secret for the localsNew Mexico has some solid fishing if you know where to go, not Mexico-level bass monsters but plenty of good water. Oh ya that's true. Cuz you're not just picking a piece of structure or a single ledge to fish, you're fishing the actual tides right? Didn't think of it that way. That make it way more challenging and fun tooi think the main issue is they tell others. then those people tell others. and then the spot gets ruined in 1 season. that is why i like surf fishing, you can scout places and you don't have to worry about overfishing as the ocean is always changing day to day or week to week.
you are picking a live spot on the beach. with structure, with wildlife, without human intervention, etc.Oh ya that's true. Exactly, once a spot gets popular it’s shoulder to shoulder and the fish disappear quick. The low key waters stay healthier and more fun, better to keep those for the locals who put the time in.Good to know. The low key areas are way better anyway. its also very important to find a place that doesn't have human activity. humans ruin the planet, the more people walk that beach the worst it will be. the more natural the spot is the better. if you see crabs, birds, etc on the beach its a good spot. if you see people and nothing else then not a good spot. structure is important. the beach needs to have structure. meaning when you walk into the ocean are there dropoffs? deep water? cuts? or is it just flat cause they dumped sand there so that tourists can lay on the beach? also people swimming WILL scare fish away, there are some fisherman who won't even wear white clothes as that white color looks like a predator bird that would eat them. a good trick to avoid bad beaches for fishing is to park and then get on the beach and walk as far away from any parking or public entry possible. so you might have to walk a mile down a busy beach to find a nice spot away from public bathrooms and showers where you know families will not bother going to.
finally i use several apps when i am fishing. first the fish rules app will tell you the regulations for the spot you are fishing, telling you what fish you can keep and what size etc. i also monitor the swell, wind, tides, and weather overall. you can fish in any tide, but the most optimal tide is after low tide when the water is coming up, because the fish will usually move with the tide closer to the beach. another thing when surf fishing is the general rule is the fish will be most hungry the first 2 hours after sunrise, and the 2 hours before sunset. i like to get there 15 minutes before sunrise and get everything ready to rock as the sun is coming up so you are in that prime time 2 hours with rods in the water
i like freshwater fishing. but i wont' eat the fish.bro you need to come to texas and fish. we got the best catfish. outhouse pond stocks them
It was delicious. We brought one big one back to the hotel and the chef cooked it for us 3 ways. It was one of my favorite meals ever. We told the staff in the restaurant to keep the rest and they were really happy too. The Dorado were really hitting that day. I caught 5 myself. I asked if I could toss them back and the boat crew was like hell no lol. I fish catch and release up here so I'm used to sending them homethose are the best tasting fish out there.

never even heard of half those things. that is a cool little hobby. and i bet you get a great workoutLet's get the log back on point.

Yea I grew up with boats and stuff and we do all our own work for the most part. The bottom end on one of our outboards had to get rebuilt 2 years back so we took it in for that. We're kinda lucky cuz our old neighbour owns a marina and his son is a Mercury certified mechanic, so we actually got people we can trust. That’s a situation where you buy or rent ur own boat to have ur own rules. If your on their boat it’s up to them what to do with the fish. It’s their fish until they release it to you on shore.
Your boat you get to do it your way. That’s why I can’t stand public charters. I would get my own boat but i know NOTHING about how to maintain a boat, and BOAT stands for BRING OUT ANOTHER THOUSAND. you cannot trust anyone to service your boat, those boat mechanics are more crooked then regular mechanics. you are a handy guy i bet you could easily take care of your own boat and do your own service.
That would be a nightmare id hate that alotExactly, once a spot gets popular it’s shoulder to shoulder and the fish disappear quick. The low key waters stay healthier and more fun, better to keep those for the locals who put the time in.![]()
just an off the wall story but i know a dude who was boating down in the keys and his boat gave out on him. black smoke and everything. had to have it towed to shore in the middle of a storm. his family was all throwing up from seasickness. worst day of his life. anyway they towed it to a mechanic in the keys. the keys aren't a cheap place to live anymore, its probably the most expensive place in the entire south as even a shack sells for a million. anyway total bill was 12K between the tow and the mechanic. and the kicker is his boat is still broken, he can't even use it. the mechanic claims that it was fixed and his boat is even more broken now. he got an estimate from another mechanic that it would cost about another 8K to fix and that the other mechanic made it worse. A lot of marine mechanics up here are also crooked and not very good. They're crazy expensive too. $175/hour at the big marina by us

@stevesmi those sand flea rates are cool. My kids have them and use them when we go to Florida for fishing to get bait. They worked very well. It looks like you put a lot of thought into this. and finally another cool thing i use are called sputnik sinkers. these look like a spaceship and the way they work is the arms sit in the sand preventing the sinker from moving with current or wind. this is something you won't see many people using out there but they are a must for fishing in rougher conditions.
I use 4 rods and cast them each a different spot and distance. once I determine where the fish are then i can move the other rods in the same spot. and if you are in a spot 15-20 minutes without any luck then MOVE. pick your shit up and move down the beach and continue looking for a better spot. you must cast where the fish are! i've even packed my shit up and moved miles down the road to find another spot when things don't look good.
its also very important to find a place that doesn't have human activity. humans ruin the planet, the more people walk that beach the worst it will be. the more natural the spot is the better. if you see crabs, birds, etc on the beach its a good spot. if you see people and nothing else then not a good spot. structure is important. the beach needs to have structure. meaning when you walk into the ocean are there dropoffs? deep water? cuts? or is it just flat cause they dumped sand there so that tourists can lay on the beach? also people swimming WILL scare fish away, there are some fisherman who won't even wear white clothes as that white color looks like a predator bird that would eat them. a good trick to avoid bad beaches for fishing is to park and then get on the beach and walk as far away from any parking or public entry possible. so you might have to walk a mile down a busy beach to find a nice spot away from public bathrooms and showers where you know families will not bother going to.
finally i use several apps when i am fishing. first the fish rules app will tell you the regulations for the spot you are fishing, telling you what fish you can keep and what size etc. i also monitor the swell, wind, tides, and weather overall. you can fish in any tide, but the most optimal tide is after low tide when the water is coming up, because the fish will usually move with the tide closer to the beach. another thing when surf fishing is the general rule is the fish will be most hungry the first 2 hours after sunrise, and the 2 hours before sunset. i like to get there 15 minutes before sunrise and get everything ready to rock as the sun is coming up so you are in that prime time 2 hours with rods in the water
i like freshwater fishing. but i wont' eat the fish.
Let's get the log back on point.

Fresh water fish are a problem because of the worms more than pollution. Also they just don't taste good, kinda fishy lol. Ocean fish are more fucked from pollution like heavy metals. Gotta becareful with certain species of ocean fish and limit the amount you eat to a couple times a week tops.Ah man. I'm kinda coming to this conclusion too. I live in a marine sanctuary technically but I think that's so the atcual beach where people surf doesn't actively have rubbish in it. If you go out a bit the fish probably have three eyes.
One of the Aussie guys recommended I try fishing and I really like the idea, but not if I can't eat it. We really have completely fucked the entire world haven't we? You can't eat the fish in the ocean? That's a nightmare situation.
I do have the keys to an entire steamship though...

It would be a fun for you and your lifestyle. If you live the vanlife fishing is a must
Hand fishing is a ton of fun. I used to catch sunfish by hand when I was a kid. We'd lure them in with bread then grab them when they came to eat it. Brings back good memories. Thanks for the info bro, I get very confused about this topic. I tried to get into aquaponics when I had a bit of land but the only decent type that would atcually breed in tanks was banned where I was and the other type I got died when i got the pH levels wrong and then gave up. I'm definitely keen on fish in my diet long term.
Is this worm problem solvable after you have the fish? Maybe I can exploit this preceviced bad taste. Sure they sell it to McDonald's to run through their grinder into gourmet fish burgers.
In Australia there's a weird thing where you can buy raw McDonald's ingredients in the super market. Even this shit they called "seafood helper" which left an impression, with retatrutide on board that memory is making me sick.
Like some types of farmed fish are fucked up right? Is this because they feed them sawdust pallets? and you want wild caught salmon right? I hope the reason why I have Alaskan Salmon in cans not because that's where the last non poisoned ones are... compared to the Japanese we are fucking morons who can't handle living in an island nation.
I can find a way to eat something that tastes bad but find it hard to accept poisoned fish and animals. The situation upsets me too.
Seriously bro that would incredible. I think I took a wrong turn getting so heavily into peramaculture instead of hunting and fishing.
I used to park on the other side of the harbour away from the city and one day made these construction workers a coffee out of my van and they said they were there to empty their nets or cages I forget the word they used but they had a tin boat with a engine on it and went fairly far out, would have been deep nut maybe took them 20 mins to get there and they came back with tons of shit and just threw back what they didn't want.
I went fishing in Rarotonga once and it was awesome, they built a mote around the entire island about 2km off shore, so fish come over the fence at high tide and are stuck there. The water was crystal clear and you can just walk up to them and pic them up.
Hand fishing is a ton of fun. I used to catch sunfish by hand when I was a kid. We'd lure them in with bread then grab them when they came to eat it. Brings back good memories.
Yes you want to stay away from farmed fish. Watch a video of the fish on YouTube. When you see the underwater shots the conditions they live in are disgusting. The fish are living in shit, covered in disease, and full of antibiotics. Plus the farming destroys the ecology of any water they're in
Yea the local area becomes a wasteland. It's sad what we need to do to feed people. Burn rain forests, destroy oceans...where does it endYeah fuck I forgot about the antibiotics on top of all that. I've been to several large fish farms before, they destroy everything around the water too.
The lakes where I live are extremely polluted from run off. It’s much safer to eat fish from the clean ocean in moderationAh man. I'm kinda coming to this conclusion too. I live in a marine sanctuary technically but I think that's so the atcual beach where people surf doesn't actively have rubbish in it. If you go out a bit the fish probably have three eyes.

good post. real food wins every time since powders and bars come with contamination risks and label gaps. This is one of many reasons you should stick to REAL FOOD vs. powders. you simply do not know what goes into a powder, but you will know what is in single high quality whole foods. example the only ingredient in an organoic sweet potato, grassfed beef, and organic brocolli is what they are. but with powders and bars you have no clue

Protein supplements are wildly popular, but CR’s tests of 23 products found that more than two-thirds of them contain more lead in a single serving than our experts say is safe to have in a day
Protein powders still carry troubling levels of toxic heavy metals, according to a new Consumer Reports investigation. Our latest tests of 23 protein powders and ready-to-drink shakes from popular brands found that heavy metal contamination has become even more common among protein products, raising concerns that the risks are growing right alongside the industry itself.
and more lip service from these companies who claim "we tested our products" blah blah blah. no they didn't. they could not care less if they poison their people.
the top 2 worst were Naked Nutrition that had 1572% lead per serving and Huel black edition 1288% lead. absolutely bonkers. garden of life and Momentous were the next 2 around 500%. you might as well go eat paint chips if that is what you are looking for.
also protein bars were just as bad if not worse and contained heavy metals, pesticides, contaminants like BPA, and crazy amounts of arsenic. the 5 worst were:
I've always been an advocate for knowing what goes into your body. so its important to avoid these powders and bars. stick to REAL FOOD and prep your own food so you know what is going in them. and yes QUALITY matters. the hypocrisy of people out there on nutrition boggles my mind. they won't take this medication or that food, but they have no issues loading their bodies full of these toxic chemicals from these fake foods. don't be one of those hypocrites and take control of your nutrition

- Quest Chocolate Milkshake Protein Powder

- Cliff bars (which i used to eat a lot of back in the day) also contained high levels of arsenic, especially the ones that had brown rice syrup. even their Clif kid Zbars that i see parents giving to their kids SMH.
a simple solution is this. MAKE YOUR OWN protein bars!!
its easy to do.
get a flat baking pan
add chopped raw nuts, dried fruit, raw almond butter, and raw honey. you can also add granola too if you are okay with digesting it or things like raw oats. and then mix them up a bit and press them into the pan. then put in the fridge for a few hours. then you can cut them up into squares and now you have good quality protein bars that you know are good to go
zero excuses why anybody can't food prep. and as i mentioned. you can make your own bars. they will last a long time in the freezer and you can take them with you anywehregood post. real food wins every time since powders and bars come with contamination risks and label gaps.however not all guys can do whole foods, time and money is a big factor @stevesmi
using whole ingredients like beef, eggs, potatoes, and greens removes guesswork and improves nutrient uptake. your diy bar recipe is perfect for clean calories with real macros and none of the toxic fillers. I hope more can learn from it but doesn't mean they can do it in a practical level.
Steve you have my respect, but you're not exactly right on that one. People have kids, jobs, and long days, and even with the best mindset, meal prep isn’t always realistic. I really didn’t like that stuff. It’s marketed as a meal replacement, but it makes you more hungry. Digestion was pretty bad. Not for meI'm shocked by the result with Huel. I know and have worked for the owner James
bros a lot of times these companies start out good. but then they get lazy. shit happens where they start cutting corners when margins get tighter. same thing happens in plumbing business. i know dudes who use pipes and fittings they know won't last more then 5 years but they get lazy and stop caring about customersI'm shocked by the result with Huel. I know and have worked for the owner James
One issue (I haven't asked him about it) is very few make their own product in-house. They rely on sub-contractors. And we've seen a bunch start great then cut corners to increase their marginsbros a lot of times these companies start out good. but then they get lazy. shit happens where they start cutting corners when margins get tighter. same thing happens in plumbing business. i know dudes who use pipes and fittings they know won't last more then 5 years but they get lazy and stop caring about customers
this is crazy. a few of those products i've been using or have used. this makes me change up how i approach things.. brilliant post!

Yes, they should prep when possible, but it’s not easy by far for most. Real life hits hard, and some nights you’re lucky to eat at all, so finding simple clean options is still discipline, just in a different form. Be realistic and more flexible @stevesmi , think about it, if they eat a protein bar instead of mcdonalds, that's still a win for majority. Let's support EVO brothers in a more flexible way based on lifestyle too
@BeMe @HarleyGuy @toddthelineman @Allupfromhere
Yes step 1 get wifeI agree with @stevesmi here @LevButlerov
Zero excuses!! Everyone needs to find a wife like me and she can cook all this stuff for you LOL. I'll be passing these recipes along to her. She will have ZERO EXCUSES once I bring this to her attention. If you never hear from me again it's probably cuz I shouted zero excuses at her
First and only step. You got this! Start a logYes step 1 get wife![]()
First and only step. You got this! Start a log
Yea commitment from me. You can't imagine the amount of bad meals I had to suffer through lmao! I got food poisoned more times than I can even remember LOL. She didn't even understand that you can't cut meat and veggies with the same knife on the same cutting board when she started...I almost died for this food prep I got today hahaI love it how your wife lied about being able to cook and tried to learn on the fly, that's commitment!

Well saidThough im a huge advocate for single ingredient foods and huge on my meal prep, i also dont allow myself any excuses not to prep, i do completely understand where @LevButlerov is coming from.
Some people might not be at that stage of commitment or discipline in their journey.
If they chosing a 'healthier' option to the limit of their understanding and knowledge at that point in time, then their heart is in the right place trying to make better choices.
Very hard to demand militant dedication, discipline and structure in the beginning for some one new to their journey.
However if you do know what your doing and are aware of the downsides of even so called 'healthy' processed food and are just choosing these options because of convenience and being lazy then thats their problem and they will only be holding themselves back.
Also if i genuinely only had a choice between a protein bar or mcdonalds because it was absolutely my last option, its the bar everytime.
Ya as long as people are an effort to keep improving that's what's important. Eating really really well is super expensive. These farmers and health food stores know they can charge a lot more for they have and people will pay it. When I go to our local health food store I pay 5x what I pay at the grocery store for similar products.Well saidI really do wish more meal planning @Allupfromhere but some will need to buy premade meals and some will just have to do with what's out there now in terms of food even mcD without the bun.

Don't get me started on the butcher shop lol. That salmon I posted in my log last night, $40 for 1 large fillet to feed 2 of us. The farm raised stuff at the supermarket probably would have cost about $15
