https://www.evolutionary.org/forums...is-trt-recovery-protocol-with-hcg-hmg.106749/
Yes, trying to recover fertility. I’m 39 and so is my missus, so it has to happen soon.

I did basically two years on TRT with some mild blasts in between — nothing crazy, mainly masteron and oxandrolone — and never went above 200 mg test per week, with fantastic results.

Last pin was on 15/12, so I’m heading into week 9. PCT consisted of two weeks of high-dose HCG followed by clomiphene 50 mg (it sucked hard — clomiphene is brutal). I managed to get some enclomiphene and have been on 25 mg for the past two weeks.

First blood test at week 3 showed total test and free test below reference, SHBG high, and LH/FSH very low. Once clomiphene kicked in, total test went through the roof, but free test didn’t follow because E2 and SHBG shot up. LH improved further, but FSH has been lagging.

Semen analysis at week 6 showed low count (1.2 million), but other parameters were just above range. I’ve since added HMG at 75 IU three times per week and HCG 250 IU three times per week, and I’m maintaining clomiphene for now. I’m also running plenty of ancillaries and supplements to support things — probably overkill.

Overall, it seems like I’m on the right path, but I’m finding it challenging to ejaculate, which has never been an issue in my life. Libido hasn’t fully recovered either, so it’s hard to perform when needed, but I’ve been managing it. I know I need to get SHBG down to bring free test back up. I’ve been on boron 5 mg daily and had bloods done today to see if it’s helping and whether enclomiphene is making a difference (it certainly helped with mood already), also started very low dose anastrozole at 0.125mg pw.

I really sympathized with the OP — anxiety plays a big part during PCT, especially with the pressure of trying to conceive. I’m wondering whether I should go back on low-dose TRT and increase HMG and HCG, following his path, or continue on this current journey. I want to get a baby on the way, then It’ll be blast and cruise for life. I understand spermatogenesis hasn’t fully matured yet, so another semen analysis is due mid-March.

I also had an endocrinologist prescribe Proviron at 50 mg daily during PCT, as he said it can help with sperm morphology. I understand it’ll help libido and probably tank SHBG, freeing up more testosterone, but from what I’ve gathered it may work against fertility. I only took it for the first three weeks of PCT, then stopped (had a great time while on it, haha).

His protocol was clomiphene 50 mg daily, HCG 2,500 IU twice weekly, and Proviron 50 mg split AM/PM — continue until pregnancy occurs.

I’ve attached blood results for weeks 3, 5, and 7, plus the semen analysis.

Just gone through the whole thread. I’m 8 weeks into pct and going through a similar scenario now with slight different obstacles. It was great to see the outcome.

Ahhh that’s great to hear bro! Hopefully it was somewhat helpful 😅

8 weeks for PCT is a long ass time - how are you feeling so far? Any bloodwork showing a rebound yet?

Excellent rebound - this is looking great

Endo’s HCG protocol seems a little much 2500IU twice a week is wild to me 😅

I should probably start a log myself after this essay, I have it logged in a local forum but the support and responsiveness here is unmatched. 😃
If you’re thinking about going back on TRT, I’d honestly suggest waiting if you can, unless you’re prepared to spend extra on HMG and HCG until your partner becomes pregnant.
Every situation is different. In our case, we’ve been trying for about 10 months and decided to move forward with IVF, which we’ll be starting next month.
I’d also wait until your sperm count and volume improve. From my experience, the first three months of PCT were fairly manageable, but around months five or six is when things started to feel much harder.
Low libido is also very common. After a few months of trying, sex can start to feel more like a task than something natural, and the pressure of needing to perform on specific days or times can be stressful.
Your girl could also get something like this https://shop.miracare.com/en-au/products/mira-hormone-monitor-ultra4-kit to figure out the exact day she's ovulating (very helpful)

Thank you for the words.
She’s got some cheap tests off eBay in bulk. The miracare kits looks very fancy, it’ll be an option to look at in the near future.
I’m holding off from going back into TRT, just need to be a little more patient and wait to see where I am at, more data incoming tomorrow. Life sucks on PCT.

Special blood test this week to determine the sex of the baby and the 12 werk scan next week to see how the key features are developing lile the skull, spine etc

Will update again soooon!!

Very excited that everything has gone smoothly to date, wife hasn’t experienced any morning sickness at all. Apparently this is determined by the male? If you are fit they usually don’t get sick? This was news to me 😂

So an added bonus of the fertility protocol was the staying fit and losing weight so I’m happy about that haha

I’ll update again when I know what sex the baby will be 😝

In the meantime I’ve still been training and I’m about to transition into a bulk - pics below for current physique maybe a conservative estimate of 13/14% BF.

Currently sitting around the 85kg @ 6’1.
