Fun fact: I've been tracking my weight and bodyfat % using some "fairly" expensive withings smart scales since i started my journey back in April last year. I always thought the scales read high bf. I started at 93kg and it reported 33.8% bodyfat. I was definitely fat, but i didnt think it was accurate.

Anyway they've been reporting only as low as 23% and given i have abs visibly starting to show i knew it was wrong and just assumed a 7% correction factor. I was exploring the app over the weekend and realised i had set my gender to female instead of male. After correcting that, i jumped on the scales this morning and lo and behold, its now reporting 75kg and 15.1% bf which i think is now pretty close to true.

TLDR; if you want to get lean, dont be a woman
I've seen your pictures you're for sure way closer to 14-15% now much leaner :D @rustle congratulations! EVO family support your way!

Bro you're looking way leaner now go look at your pic on 11Oct. Those electric zapper fancy scales can be off I'm thinking you're 14% for sure.
I think you're looking lean and hard bro keep up the great work and keep going!

I dont know about the scales as a whole - withings would be the best available but all the scales I have stepped on put me at like 20% and well, I might have dysmorphia but I know thats not true 😂

Yeah women carry so much more Bf naturally . Sucks to be them, that and child birth, but trade off they can take half ya shit so.. can tell I’m a victim haha.

Also on previous workout , I like the variations. Reverse grip pull downs are one of my favourites

I think I've got the same scales. I'm not sure how accurate the BF reading is but they seem to have done a decent job reflecting reality while I've been cutting. Don't bother with the 'athlete mode', dropped my BF to 6% or something ridiculous.

General Health and Wellbeing:
Trained at night today. Experimenting with how sleep is affected. I actually got a pretty solid 6hrs of straight sleep last night. I think this is because i KNEW i didnt have to wake up early so part of that "wakeup anxiety" was no longer there. Then again it could have just been a one-off.
I actually felt pretty weak while training though. I dont think trying to get a session in after a long day is my ideal timing, i feel better training in the morning.

General Health and Wellbeing:
Few lifts had some minor increases in weight and/or reps this morning, further reiterating how i felt from Monday, being that i definitely feel stronger in the mornings than at night time.

Today i also had some very minor surgery, got some "suspect" moles removed from my left shoulder and right forearm. This will mean no training for the rest of the week most likely to avoid blowing out the stitches. Could probably still train legs but i still put those body parts under tension when gripping handles on machines etc so probably best to just give everything time to heal.

Trained at night today. Experimenting with how sleep is affected. I actually got a pretty solid 6hrs of straight sleep last night. I think this is because i KNEW i didnt have to wake up early so part of that "wakeup anxiety" was no longer there

Back when I worked shifts my preference was for 2pm to 10pm for this reason. Home, eat, sleep, train the next day in the am and still feeling good.

bros, keep up the good work. I like the dumbbell press and the peck deck. Really hitting that chest is good. I think starting out with a chest routine and then finishing out with triceps is smart. @rustle

@rustle good job getting another solid sleep. That's really good. Definitely sleep is a great calming influence on your body. If you don't get sleep, your anxiety, of course, is going to go up.

@rustle is say you’re right. I know with work when I have to get up extremely early I can’t sleep at all the night before. Something about not having to set that alarm

@rustle take rest and recover well......

Had to clean the wound on my shoulder for the first time on sunday. Didn't realise how big an incision they had to make to get it out! Explains why it's been so uncomfortable

Weight:
74.65kg (14.6% bf)

Training (8pm):
Leg Press: 105kg x 12, 140kg x 12, 150kg x 11
Lying Leg Curl: 39kg x 12, 53kg x 8
Leg Extension: 47kg x 12, 68kg x 12, 75kg x 8
Hip Abduction: 28kg x 15, 49kg x 15, 49kg x 12
Hip Adduction: 28kg x 12, 49kg x 12, 49kg x 11
Standing Calf Raise: Skipped due to stitches in shoulder
Cable Crunch: 40kg x 20, 40kg x 20, 40kg x 20
Cardio: 30 mins incline treadmill

General Health and Wellbeing:
Been sitting around feeling sorry for myself for not being able to train the past 5 days. Had enough last night so decided to go to a quick leg session and get those endorphins pumping.
Was by no means a strenuous session, but felt better for it in the end. Bit more cardio than normal to account for the lack of activity lately.
Stiches come out of shoulder and forearm on Thursday so hoping i can get back into it from then.

Side note as i forgot to mention it. I swapped over to sus250 and Bold Cyp from @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals @Sassy Rep about 2 weeks ago. I requested the swap as i'm finishing the cycle at the end of February and going overseas for 2 weeks before transitioning back to TRT. I asked @Sassy Rep to facilitate this as the Decanoate ester in the sus250 will help stick around abit longer while overseas removing the need to take my script with me. Additionally switching the EQ to Bold Cyp will help with reducing clearance times slightly.

As always, and as to be expected, the oils are perfect. Go in smooth with zero PIP. Cant beat this quality!

That is a serious cut out @rustle . Glad it was benign. Fucking boss going and doing a leg session with that type of wound, even if it was the shoulder press 🦍🦍🩵

I've been running KLOW80 for about 2 months now to see what impact it could have on my carpal tunnel. It hasnt made any impact there but continue to run it anyway.
how about bpc/tb?

Sorry to hear about the surgery and mindset that comes with it. Lots of us can really empathize with that situation. Not training is sooo tough. Hitting a light leg day or even some cardio will help a bit. Stay strong bro!

In my experience the hardest part comes when you're almost ready to train, or you can train light and you gotta hold back. Make sure not too push too hard and take it a little easy. Going hard and a single setback will have you back and square one and that's the worst!! Ask me how I know LOL

Just a quick update that I've now officially completed this log. I didn't keep this updated as much as I'd like as I was primarily logging elsewhere for the team.

Things didn't go as planned, with the carpal tunnel and minor surgeries but I'm so grateful for being able to be supported by @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals @Sassy Rep throughout this process. What was originally intended as a growth phase, ended up turning into a fairly aggressive recomp.

My starting weight was 78kg and I finished up on 71.7kg and in a great position to transition to TRT dose for a couple of months. I'll be having surgery for my carpal tunnel late March so hoping I'll be in a good position for a proper rebound and real, unimpeded growth in the next cycle in May

I'd never used Sassy gear before this log, but all the various compounds I have used throughout the log have been amazing. To recap, I ended up running:
- Test c
- EQ (500mg)
- Test E
- NPP
- Sus250
- EQ Cyp

So I got a pretty good taste of many products in @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals lineup and all pinned great and returned better than expected results in blood tests.

I've ended up buying more gear from Sassy as a result of how happy I was with the oils during my cycle. I hope this also convinces others to give it a run too.

I'm currently holidaying in Vietnam, but will update this post properly with some pics when I get back to properly close this out with some before and afters.

Once again, thanks again to @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals and @Sassy Rep , some of the best in the game. Get out there and grab some of their oils from their fancy new website!

Yep it was great to work with @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals!

My time with them has come to an end unfortunately, but I'm grateful for the chance to taste their products and like I said, although I was sponsored, I ended up buying more gear from them during and after because I was so happy with the products.

Ill be on a lookout for a new sponsor for my next cycle in May :)

Yep will get the pics up when I get back. Even with the overindulging in Vietnam, I feel like I might be coming home lighter still!
you're in Vietnam it has lights and you have a phone :D do a push up pump up and do a mirror pic please @rustle

You'll come back strong. Don't worry, a lot of guys on here have had surgeries. @rustle it's better to get them done as soon as possible so you can make your comeback.

Yep will get the pics up when I get back. Even with the overindulging in Vietnam, I feel like I might be coming home lighter still!
@rustle nice man, make sure you rest your brain and your body while you're in Vietnam. Take advantage of it and really get yourself fresh when you come back.

Awesome man, don't forget to post up some pictures of your trip to Vietnam. My uncle was in that war and he says that it's a very beautiful country, lots of jungle. @rustle

@rustle nice log man. Can’t wait to see you get another one going.

Final pics at 71.7kg. Abs started to poke through pretty well. Happy with the vascularity, particularly in my left (weaker) arm. Scales say im just under 12% bodyfat, but ive never trusted them. Running TRT until start of May, then i really need to pack on some serious size.

And a before and after. Definitely was not a growth cycle afterall, but definitely some postive changes in body composition.

Bam what a closer! Great way to close up the log especially with the side by side before and after pic brother. Congratulations on all your hard work and looking like a true lean and mean success! A TRT semi-deload will get those stitches and injury healed up nice come start of May when I look forward to your serious-size log!

And finally, I've been on this journey for nearly 12 months now. Starting out at 93kg, going up to 97kg briefly and then working my way all the way down to current 71kg.

This progress collage shows April 2025, Sept 2025 and March 2026.

It's funny how only once you do a comparison like this that you can really appreciate and see just how far you've come.

The support from everyone here at Evo has been incredible and I consider myself incredibly lucky to hav been picked up by @Sassy's Pharmaceuticals @Sassy Rep for the latter half of the 12 month transformation.

Definitely seeing steady improvement, which is really good. @rustle more importantly on the inside you're getting stronger both mentally and physically.

@rustle great journey man......proud of you to achieve this.....

Hey brother,

Saw this update and I still reckon the answers in your blood.

Your haemoglobin is at the bottom of the range, your HCT and MCH are both at the bottom end and your RDW is elevated.

This means the EQ is causing you to push out RBC's at an accelerated rate and your body doesn't have enough supplies to make them properly, hence each cell is low in haemoglobin and the RDW means that rather than each cell being roughly the same size you have a higher level that outside normal size, in your case I'd say smaller.

All this means is a lower oxygen carrying ability and you feeling exhausted.

I'd get some Maltofer iron supplement, increase red meat consumption and ensure your taking vit C to help with absorption.

Hope this helps.
@Ziggie Just wanted to circle back on this. Latest test i had Iron studies added in, and you nailed the prognosis.

I've started taking 50mg (25mg AM/25mg PM) of iron biglycinate as of yesterday to try get the serum ferritin back up into a good range.

Weird for iron to be low in men, particularly 'bodybuilders' who typically eat a lot of red meat. Any issues in this regard previously?

Havent had bloods taken with Iron studies previously so dont have a baseline.
We dont eat a lot of red meat in our house though, maybe once or twice a week. I eat more chicken.
