Evening all. I'm thrilled to announce I've signed on with one of the best in the business @PopRox19 to help get me ready for Season C Vic's. He's someone I've always admired and I have huge respect for what he's doing in the bodybuilding and coaching space, so I'm really honoured to be learning from him.
Another special mention to @Raptor Labs @Raptor Rep for their continued support that has enabled me the opportunity to set and hopefully achieve this goal come September.

Cycle is yet to be finalised but for this next phase it will be along the lines of 250mg test titrating up, 50-100mg npp, again titrating up. And Primo which I have on hand from a cycle past.

Calories for now will be 3422 on training days of which
240g protein
455g carbs
57g fat

Rest days will drop the carbs down by 50g and add 6g fat, with protein remaining the same.

Training will be 4 days a week, which I might find hard as I'm used to 6 and the gym is an escape from my crazy family haha 😄
I joke of course.

First session today was back, hams and traps, with less volume but more intensity with the use of tempo training which I'm new to and really enjoyed. All exercises were done with a 3-1-1-1 tempo and really focused on mind muscle connection. 2 working sets each exercise with a few feeder sets to get the feel

High row single arm
50kg x10 x 2 sets

Lat pulldown mag Grip
59kg x 11
59kg x 10

Dumbell row
40kg x 10

Seated hamstring curl
50kg x 10 x 2 sets

Machine hip thrust
20kg x 20

Adductors
150kg x 10

Cross body single tricep
9kg x 11

Cardio was an hour walk at 6km/h

I put up some starting point pics in my last log which I'll throw back in here

@Eveflorence always feels good to get in a good workout session, especially when you're balancing out the legs like that and good job hitting both the front and back end of the legs.

Thank you brother very excited myself as well. I'd normally do 50kg and throw around 12 reps but need to park my ego and focus more now on slow contractions and tempo.
All my weights will come down in this initial phase I imagine but I'm ok with that.

💯 get it bro. I’ve shifted my mindset also and have very much been focusing on time under tension over moving then heaviest load I can.

growth has been very noticeable since switching up 💪💪🔥🔥

Will be following 💯

Tuesday March 31

Today felt amazing after having 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. This was something I can't even remember the last time it happened.
Had a bit of extra time after having a later start at work so was able to eat my preworkout meal and be well hydrated instead of rushing to the gym and training fasted. Having fuel in me has been a big priority area from coach @PopRox19 and although only early days, can tell is making a difference to my energy levels during training.

Session was Push and biceps and as always powered by @Raptor Labs @Raptor Rep
All sets listed are working sets with a tempo of 3-1-1-1 unless otherwise stated.

Dumbell side Laterals
10kg x 15 x 2 sets

Plate loaded chest press
80kg x 15
90kg x 10

D handle bicep curl
22.7kg x 19

Incline Smith machine press
71.3kg x 11
71.3kg x 10

Preacher curl single arm
17.5kg x 10 x 2 sets

Chest dips tempo 3-2-1-1
80kg x 20 x 2 sets

Cardio:
20 minutes on elliptical level 15 postworkout.
1hr walk after work

@Eveflorence that’s a great cardio session. An hour is top tier man.

Tuesday March 31

Today felt amazing after having 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. This was something I can't even remember the last time it happened.
Had a bit of extra time after having a later start at work so was able to eat my preworkout meal and be well hydrated instead of rushing to the gym and training fasted. Having fuel in me has been a big priority area from coach @PopRox19 and although only early days, can tell is making a difference to my energy levels during training.

Session was Push and biceps and as always powered by @Raptor Labs @Raptor Rep
All sets listed are working sets with a tempo of 3-1-1-1 unless otherwise stated.

Dumbell side Laterals
10kg x 15 x 2 sets

Plate loaded chest press
80kg x 15
90kg x 10

D handle bicep curl
22.7kg x 19

Incline Smith machine press
71.3kg x 11
71.3kg x 10

Preacher curl single arm
17.5kg x 10 x 2 sets

Chest dips tempo 3-2-1-1
80kg x 20 x 2 sets

Cardio:
20 minutes on elliptical level 15 postworkout.
1hr walk after work
@Eveflorence 8 hours of sleep is good.....nice updates on the log.....

Happy Easter weekend everybody.
This week has been a real learning curve for me and one I have thoroughly enjoyed with the help of coach @PopRox19

There's been a shift in my training to lower volume and more focus on tempo and controlling the movements. I've found the difference in training challenging at times but knowing I have only 2 working sets, sometimes even only one on a particular exercise has allowed me to go all out and train with an intensity I may have neglected to in the past.

Also the variety has been enjoyable too, there's been some exercises I've never even done before so it's always handy learning new things.

Nutrition has been consistent and I'm starting to get used to eating before training, instead of always going in fasted. The introduction also of intra workout carbs has helped with energy, endurance and fullness.
Tomorrow is check in where I will take photos and measurements first thing in the morning fasted and will post up a few here.

Today was anterior. Again all movements tempo 3-1-1-1 and only working sets recorded.

D handle bicep curl
29.5kg x 10
29.5kg x 10

Flat plate press
80kg x 15
100kg x 10

Single arm delt cable lateral raise
4.5kg x 20

Adductors
110kg x 10
110kg x 10

Hack squat
127.6kg x 10 (the sled weighs 47.6kg hence the weird number)

Leg press
200kg x 15
This is meant to be banded but because the gym was unstaffed I didn't have access to resistance bands

Seated calf machine
71.3kg x 10

Cardio
15 minute elliptical on level 20
45 minute walk after kids went to bed just before

That is a fantastic update and read brother. The changes that your coach has made are fascinating given your starting condition was so spectacular. Already massively interesting seeing this evolve. Pictures are going to be fun to see. 🩵

Definitely good to try different training methods and see what works best. Like you said, the good thing about lower volume is knowing you can really get after the one or two sets.

I've recently found that having a small snack before training (train at 4:30am) make a big difference energy wise as well.

Photos, weight BG, BP and measurements taken upon waking fasted.

Weight 80.10kg
BP 128/72
BG 5.3

My first time measuring BG. Admittedly took this after having a bit of a surge in adrenalin/cortisol after running upstairs to calm a crying infant before he woke the rest of the house up. But aiming to regularly measure this and hopefully get it into the 4's.

Weight has remained steady, nutrition was pretty spot on for the week and training was fun. Some tweaks to training with a couple of extra sets here and there which I'm looking forward to.

Anabolics: Test will move to 300mg and Primo at 200mg has been implemented. Just awaiting the NPP which will go in at 50-100mg. Hgh will be 2iu in the AM and 2iu before bed. Reta at 2mg week.

Bring on Week 2 💪

(I noticed in my rear lat spread below, how underdeveloped my right side of my body is compared to my left. In the past I have fractured my right distal humerus and my right lateral condyle in my femur and I wonder if my left side has been overcompensating this entire time?)

Morning BG 5.2

Another early morning woke at 4am after going to bed at 10pm so not ideal. In a strange phase with sleep at the moment, nothing is particularly stressing me out other than the usual day to day's of life but I must be having a massive cortisol dump in the wee hours of the morning and cannot for the life of me go back to sleep.
Anyway, we press on don't we.

Today was back, hams and triceps. Strength was up, energy was high, preworkout meal really helping with endurance and pumps. Training and nutrition are both enjoyable but I know soon @PopRox19 will start to pull the trigger on a few things so I'll ride this wave for as long as I can 😅

Still rocking along nicely brother apart from the sleep disturbances. Body is reacting to something at night and it is probably really minor until you are asleep then it magnifies 10 fold to screw things up. Unfortunately such is a life filled with work, young kids, training and change. Sure it will sort itself soon legend you are nothing if not resilient 🩵

Designated rest day today so made sure to get in plenty of walking and plenty of activity with the kids.
We're looking after a friends dog for a week, thought it might be a nice little trial run for the kids for when we finally get one, but man already it's like having another bloody toddler in the house.

Weight 80.95kg fasted this morning.
BG was 5.8- not ideal.
GH is 2iu in the AM and 2iu before bed.
Nutrition today on point. Substituted a chicken, rice and veg meal for 350g eye fillet (couldn't say no to $37kg at Woolies) rice and veg hope that ok with coach @PopRox19

Look forward to hitting Pull, Hams and Triceps tomorrow.
Bless you all 🙏

Another strong session today with some progressions in either weight or reps on most exercises which was pleasing.

Thinking of going to watch the Season A show in Melbourne on Sunday, never been to a show before but if I'm to be stepping on stage in September I need to do some homework.

Today was Pull Hams and Triceps as seen below.
Bless you all 🙏

Checking out the show is a really great idea brother. I need to do the same thing for my side of the coin so I know what to expect when I hit the platform later this year. Try to reduce the stress of the unknown I believe we call it. 🩵

Another successful week training and nutrition wise. Most lifts progressed in weight and my energy and endurance was high. It's been great training with a real sense of purpose again and the lower volume but high intensity has allowed me to do that.

Rest day today except for cardio which was relatively light- 15 minutes on the stair climber level 10, 15 minutes on elliptical level 20 and 15 minutes on treadmill 6km/h 8% incline.

Wow what a day. Started off amazingly but turned to shit through one expected event and one unexpected event, which I'll touch on.

Brought in insulin at 2iu preworkout for the first time under the guidance of coach @PopRox19
Must say I was shitting myself a bit at the thought of going hypo but coach's protocol had me feeling awesome during training- good pumps, strength and endurance up, so overall it was a success.

My wife had taken our daughter into hospital for her final day of rehab from the operation she had back in January, and this was supposed to be a celebration but unfortunately we found out her lung function had gone down since her last test due to a virus she's been suffering. So the plan was to admit her to run IV antibiotics 3 times a day for at least a week, which means once again we would be juggling home and hospital life and tag teaming each night.

Meanwhile, I found all this out just before I was about to go in for surgery to have a skin cancer just above my lip cut out, so as you can imagine the timing was atrocious.
I didn't realise the impact this would have on training so to find out I shouldn't be lifting until the stitches are out next week is a bit shit.

Anyway we keep going, hopefully we catch a break soon and have a few settled months after all of this.

I took a few pics post workout

Oh brother, one hit after another. Really sorry to see you all have to endure hospital time again, especially your girl.
Just as shitful with the skin cancer thing, though I am sure you can probably sneak a couple of sessions in later in the week.
All my Evo love to you and your family brother. 🩵🩵

Thanks brother yeah can't seem to catch a break at the moment but pretty soon we'll look back at it and it will be one of those things that's just a tiny blip in time.
Yeah hoping to do some lighter stuff later in the week 😁
